Hamilton Beach’s Model 33231 product page and slow cooker catalog identify a 3-quart matte-black cooker with an oval shape and low, high, and keep-warm settings. The removable stoneware and tempered-glass lid are listed as dishwasher-safe. Its listed dimensions are 8.5 H × 12.8 W × 9.0 D inches.
Availability was inconsistent across the two official pages on October 8, 2026: the catalog showed a $38.99 price and an add-to-cart control, while the individual product page said “Out of Stock.” Price and stock can change; verify both on the product page before ordering.
How to compare it with older 3-quart models
Hamilton Beach’s archive includes older 3-quart models such as 33230, 33234, and 33237; some archived pages, including Model 33238, are explicitly marked no longer available. An archive entry is not proof that a cooker is still sold new. Compare the exact model’s listing and documentation rather than assuming archived models share every feature or current availability.

Hamilton Beach identifies six slow-cooker size classes—3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 quarts. Capacity is a useful way to narrow your choice; the official material does not establish that one size cooks faster or better than another.
What can a 3-quart slow cooker cook?
Hamilton Beach describes the Model 33231 oval crock as “the perfect size for cooking a 3 pound chicken or 2 pound roast.” This is the manufacturer’s example, not an independently verified maximum capacity or guarantee that every cut will fit. A 2013 Hamilton Beach press sheet for a different 3-quart model, 33139, also suggested small-family meals and appetizers such as dips, sauces, fondue, and meatballs. Those are brand examples, not cooking-test results.

How do I find replacement parts for my Hamilton Beach slow cooker?
- Read the rating label. Hamilton Beach says the model number, type number, series code, and wattage are printed on the label at the bottom of the cooker.
- Open the exact model’s page. Use the model number to locate its product or archive page and inspect the parts listed there.
- Match the part to the model before ordering. Official pages show examples such as a 2.5/3-quart oval lid and crock, but a size description alone does not establish that a part fits every cooker in that size range. Confirm the exact compatibility details with Hamilton Beach or the model documentation.
Care and safe use
Hamilton Beach advises owners to read the Use & Care guide supplied with the cooker; a PDF is available in the Support section of the model-specific product page. Use that guide for operation, cleaning, and safety instructions for your exact model.
Hamilton Beach’s FAQ says a cooking vessel may be heated in an oven, but a glass lid should not be put in an oven because its plastic knob could melt or burn. Check the current model-specific guide for any additional limits before using the vessel or lid in another appliance.
