A food processor can turn cauliflower florets into rice-sized pieces quickly. For this job, compare bowl capacity, pulse control and the included chopping blade; choose extra slicing or dicing attachments only if you will use them. The product information available supports these as useful options, not a single independently proven best processor for cauliflower rice.
What to look for in a food processor for cauliflower rice
- Capacity: Match the bowl to how much you plan to prepare at once. Compact models suit smaller tasks, while larger processors can be more useful for batch cooking, according to TechRadar’s 2026 buying guide.
- Pulse control: Pulsing lets you check the texture as you chop. The goal is rice-sized pieces; watch closely so the cauliflower does not become too fine. Product listings establish that some models offer pulse controls, but they do not establish a proven pulse count or processing time.
- Chopping setup: Check that the model includes a chopping blade and bowl suitable for processing florets. Slicing and shredding discs are useful for other prep jobs, but they are not substitutes for the chopping blade when making cauliflower rice.

Consider a larger bowl if you routinely prepare cauliflower for several meals. KitchenAid lists options up to 13 cups in its US range, while the Cuisinart FP-9CF provides a 9-cup comparison point. These capacities help frame the choice; they do not establish a preferred batch size or comparative result.

Breville’s US food-processor page explicitly names cauliflower rice as a use, stating: “Make nut butter and cauliflower rice, or use the dough blade attachment to make pizza dough – our powerful food processors make kitchen prep easier.” This is manufacturer product copy, not an independent performance assessment. Cuisinart documents the FP-9CF’s bowl, blade and controls, and KitchenAid lists a range of capacities. These specifications help you compare fit and features, but none of the cited product information establishes a universal winner for cauliflower rice.
