If you want a slow cooker to stop cooking after a set time, then keep dinner warm, choose a programmable model with an automatic Keep Warm transition. That is different from a full power shutoff: the two verified 6-quart models below switch to Warm when cooking finishes, and the documented Crock-Pot Cook & Carry later shuts off after four hours on Warm.
What “auto shut off” means on a slow cooker
The phrase can describe two different outcomes: the cooker stops its cooking cycle but continues heating on Keep Warm, or the appliance powers down completely. The verified timed models here do the first. They are useful if your schedule might delay serving, but they should not be described as turning fully off as soon as the cooking timer ends.
In a Crock-Pot support response published June 29, 2017, about the programmable 6-quart Cook & Carry, CrockpotSupport said, “We do not have any unit that will automatically shut off.” The same support page says the discussed model remains on Warm for four hours before shutting off.
