Cat’s catalog includes different voltage and current configurations, and its product listings do not establish a comparative ranking for performance or service life. Confirm fitment for the machine’s actual configuration before ordering.
Start with the machine’s electrical requirements
Check the machine’s documentation and battery/application details for the required charging voltage. Do not select a charger based only on equipment size or assume that two chargers with similar voltage ratings are interchangeable. Cat advises customers to consult the owner’s manual or a local dealer; the Cat Parts Store listing for the 566-9756 says, “Consult your owner’s manual or contact your local Cat Dealer for more information.”
Also check the AC supply available where the charger will be installed. The catalog examples below have different input ranges, output ratings and features, so compare the exact product specifications with the application.

Which specifications matter for your application?
Output voltage
Match the charger’s output to the charging voltage specified for the machine and battery application. The examples include both 12 V/24 V and dedicated 24 V output configurations; that difference alone does not determine fitment.
Output current
The listed examples include 5 A and 10 A models. A higher current rating is not, by itself, proof of a shorter charge time or better results. Charge time depends on the battery and application, and the cited listings do not provide comparative charging tests.

Input supply
Compare the charger’s published AC input range with the supply available at the intended installation. A charger’s output rating does not tell you whether its input is suitable for that location.
Charging functions and installation
Check any documented charging modes, mounting arrangement, wiring and included leads against the intended setup. For example, Cat lists programmable float or boost voltage and a 3 m AC cable with plug for the 392-3298, while the 566-9756 listing specifies four-hole mounting.

Verify part fitment before ordering
Use the machine’s model and serial configuration with current Cat fitment information, the applicable manual or a Cat dealer. A product page may name compatible applications or models, but Cat warns that changes from the factory configuration can affect whether a part fits. If the machine has been modified or the listing does not clearly cover its configuration, ask a dealer to confirm the part number before purchase.
