Maker Faire Tokyo 2025 was a two-day public maker exhibition at Tokyo Big Sight on October 4–5, 2025. It has ended: the organizer thanked visitors on October 6 and confirmed the event was over. The 2025 program brought together maker exhibits and demonstrations, stage presentations, and hands-on workshops. The ticket prices and schedules below are historical details, not current offers.
What was Maker Faire Tokyo?
Maker Faire is a public gathering where people display projects, demonstrate how they work, and talk with visitors about what they are making. The official Maker Faire Tokyo 2025 English event page describes it as “a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement,” and says, “It’s a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning.” These are the organizer’s descriptions of the event.
The official overview highlighted technologies including card-sized educational computers, 3D printers, and AI, as well as creative projects made with a variety of materials. The format was not limited to looking at finished objects: visitors could ask makers questions at their booths.
Where and when was the 2025 event held?
Impress Corporation organized the event at Tokyo Big Sight, West Hall 4, 3-11-1 Ariake, Koto City, Tokyo. The official Japanese event overview listed these opening hours:

The organizer advised visitors to avoid the immediate opening rush and noted that admission could be restricted if the venue became crowded.

The program combined open-ended booth visits with scheduled events and activities. The organizer’s 2025 program page listed stage presentations and participatory workshops. The activity examples below illustrate the range, rather than a complete program listing.

The program page said approximately 50 student-maker groups exhibiting at the event were eligible for the Young Maker Challenge. That approximate figure refers to those student groups, not all exhibitors. The page said judging considered technical level, originality, enthusiasm for turning ideas into reality, and willingness to take on challenges.
Archived examples in the Maker Faire Yearbook give a sense of the projects’ variety: an original transforming toy, a wearable white Tyrannosaurus costume made from corrugated plastic board, and a wreath using planetary gears. These are examples, not a complete exhibitor list.

How did Saturday differ from Sunday?
The main practical difference was the schedule: Saturday began at noon and included an evening-discount entry period from 4 p.m.; Sunday opened at 10 a.m. and its evening-discount period began at 3 p.m. Both days ended with entry cutoff 30 minutes before closing. Stage and workshop times were day-specific; the archived program is the appropriate reference for the original session schedule, rather than assuming an activity was available both days.

The evening-discount ticket applied from 4 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday. A ticket was valid only for the date selected; re-entry on that same date was permitted, but it could not be used on the other event day. The organizer’s event page posted thanks on October 6, 2025, and said the two-day event had concluded. The official sources reviewed do not state a total attendance figure or an event-wide exhibitor count, so neither should be inferred from the program’s approximate count of Young Maker Challenge groups.
