To set the clock on a Samsung oven or range, first identify its controls: a Clock button with a keypad or arrows, a Smart Dial, or a touchscreen. Most ranges use Clock, time entry, then Clock or START/SET; Smart Dial models use Menu → Set time; touchscreen wall ovens use Settings → Date & Time. Samsung’s official US instructions cover most ranges, but the exact steps vary by model.
Before you begin: identify the control panel
Look at the oven’s controls rather than assuming every Samsung model uses the same sequence. A button marked Clock (or a clock icon), a Smart Dial, and a touchscreen each have a different procedure. If the labels or steps below do not match your appliance, find the model number and follow its manual. Samsung’s general support guide is titled How to set the clock on your Samsung range.
Set the clock on a range with a Clock button and keypad or arrows
- Press Clock. On some panels, the control is shown as a clock icon.
- Select AM or PM if prompted. Press Clock again to choose the setting when the panel offers this option. Skip this step if there is no AM/PM prompt or the clock uses 24-hour time.
- Enter the time. Use the number pad or directional buttons, according to the panel. For example, Samsung gives 1, 3, 0 as keypad entry for 1:30.
- Save the time. Press Clock or START/SET, depending on the model. If you entered the wrong time and the panel has a Clear button, use it and enter the time again.
Button timing can matter. On the NE63*811***, Samsung says not to hold Clock/Setting for three seconds or longer: that opens user-preference settings instead of clock adjustment. That model uses Up/Down to change the time and Clock or START/SET to save it. Other models may use a different entry method. See Samsung’s NE63*811*** support guide.
Set the clock on a Smart Dial range
- If the controls are asleep, push or turn the dial to wake them.
- Tap Menu, shown as three horizontal lines.
- Turn the dial to select Set time, then enter the time.
- Push the dial to confirm.
To change between 12-hour and 24-hour display on this model family, use Menu → Time format. For your specific model, check Samsung’s range clock-setting instructions.

Set the clock on a touchscreen wall oven
If Wi-Fi is enabled, the touchscreen can set the date and time automatically. Open Settings → Date & Time and turn on the automatic date-and-time setting.
To enter these values yourself, open the same screen and turn off the automatic setting. Then set the time zone, date, and time. Samsung notes that the touchscreen time display turns off after one hour of inactivity to reduce screen energy use; this does not mean the clock-setting procedure has failed. When the labels differ: use the model’s instructions
Some dial-based controls use a different menu label. For example, Samsung’s instructions for NE63*875*S* say to tap Options, select Set time with the dial, enter the time, and push the dial to confirm. This is why a Menu-based procedure should not be assumed to apply to every Smart Dial or dial-operated model. Consult Samsung’s NE63*875*S* support guide or search for the manual matching your exact model number.
Samsung says an accurate clock supports automatic functions such as delayed cooking and Sabbath mode. Its official US guide says, “Your Samsung wall oven or range includes a clock.”
