The headline reports that the Wyoming Hunger Initiative and Fortis Construction are teaming up on a four-food-pantry effort in Cheyenne. The available announcement details do not establish where the pantries will be, when they will open, or what Fortis will provide, so those project specifics should be confirmed with the partners before residents make plans.
What is confirmed about the Cheyenne pantry effort?
The reported headline names the Wyoming Hunger Initiative and Fortis Construction as partners in an effort involving four food pantries in Cheyenne. The original announcement and project details were not available in the material reviewed, so the headline alone does not establish whether “put” means new construction, installation, or another kind of support.
That distinction matters: a pantry project may involve building new facilities, fitting out existing spaces, or supporting sites in another way. No project-specific information confirms which applies here.
Where will the four pantries be, and when will they open?
Locations, schedules, and opening dates have not been confirmed in the available information. Residents who need food should not rely on an unverified site or date. Before visiting a pantry, check directly with the organizations for its address, hours, service area, eligibility requirements, and whether it accepts walk-ins or requires an appointment.

What is Fortis Construction contributing?
The available information does not specify Fortis Construction’s role, any construction or installation work, project costs, or financial or in-kind contributions. Those details require confirmation from Fortis Construction or the Wyoming Hunger Initiative; it would be premature to describe the company’s contribution more specifically.
How does the project fit the Wyoming Hunger Initiative’s work?
The Initiative says its mission is “to end hunger in Wyoming” and describes supporting local anti-hunger organizations through awareness, programs, and funding. It launched in October 2019 with an initial focus on childhood hunger, then broadened its mission to hunger across the state. Its About the Initiative page provides that background.

Separately, a June 18, 2025 LocalNews8/KIFI report cited shelving units and freezers as examples of infrastructure needs in other pantry assistance. Those are general examples, not confirmed features or purchases for the Cheyenne effort.
The Initiative’s official news page identifies its transition to independent nonprofit organization status in October 2025. That organizational context does not by itself disclose how this particular project is funded or operated.

Once the partners release project details, the most useful information to verify is:
- The four locations and whether each is a new or existing site.
- Construction or installation schedule and expected opening dates.
- Who owns and operates each pantry, and how residents can access food.
- Fortis Construction’s specific role and any publicly confirmed project costs or contributions.
For current information about the Initiative’s work and ways to get involved, consult its official website. A search-result aggregator displayed the headline but did not expose the original report or supporting details; it is not a substitute for confirmation from the partners.
