Volve is a construction-focused AI platform designed to organize tender and contract documents and assist with tasks such as bid compliance, offer comparison, scope review and contract handover. It can help teams find and assess information across a project document set, but its findings need expert review: the available evidence describes vendor-stated capabilities, not independently verified performance or autonomous bid and contract decisions.
What Volve does in a tender workflow
Volve says teams can upload documents or connect through SharePoint or Procore. It organizes context across tenders, addenda, offers and contracts so users can inspect requirements, scope, risks and obligations, ask questions and search for answers. The company says the platform supports PDF, Word and Excel files, multilingual work and configurable workflows. These are product claims; the reviewed materials do not independently test their accuracy or coverage. Volve’s product information
For tendering and pre-construction, the stated tasks cover several stages:
- Bid/no-bid and planning: review tender information to help decide whether and how to pursue a project.
- Compliance and submission preparation: check requirements and submission coverage, and help draft bids, proposals or clarifications.
- Offer assessment: compare incoming subcontractor offers and identify coverage, deviations, obligations or other issues for review.
- Scope and estimating: structure work-package scope and support estimating work using project information.
- Contract handover: carry a contract baseline and change information into execution, with prior checks and outputs available for reuse.
Volve says findings can be linked back to source text, which gives reviewers a route to check what a flagged requirement or risk is based on. That traceability is useful only if the source set is complete and someone qualified verifies the interpretation; the platform should not be treated as the final authority on bid pricing, contractual obligations or sign-off. What the September 2026 orchestration release adds
In a company post dated September 24, 2026, Volve CEO and co-founder Herman B. Smith described a new orchestration layer intended to determine and run steps for complex tender or contract tasks, then verify results before returning them. One initial use case described is checking quantities across specifications, drawings and BIM models. AEC Magazine reported on the announcement on October 6, 2026. These reports establish what Volve announced, not independent validation of the feature’s accuracy or availability in every customer deployment. Volve’s product information
Volve’s post also said its platform had been applied in more than 2,500 construction projects as of September 24, 2026. That is a company-reported figure; no independent audit is described. Volve’s product information

How to assess whether it fits your team
Before adopting a tendering platform, test it against the real document set, review process and systems your team uses. A product demonstration alone will not establish whether it covers your project’s contract forms, governance requirements or workflow.
- Document coverage: Can it handle the full tender set and its hierarchy, including addenda and offers, without losing context?
- Evidence and review: Can reviewers trace each finding to its source, correct it and record the required human sign-off?
- Task coverage: Does it support the work you need, from compliance and offer comparison to estimating, drawing/BIM quantity checks and handover into execution?
- Systems and formats: Confirm the specific integrations, file types and languages needed. Volve names SharePoint and Procore as connection options and PDF, Word and Excel support; confirm the details that apply to your deployment. Volve’s product information
- Security and governance: Establish whether its controls, data handling and approvals meet your organization’s requirements; the reviewed product descriptions do not settle these questions.
- Commercial fit: Estimate cost against expected project volume, complexity and rollout effort, rather than comparing subscription labels alone.
Pricing and buying process
Volve describes a sales-led subscription with unlimited users and access to project history. Its project-based plan is tailored to a number of projects per quarter, with additional projects available; an enterprise option offers unlimited projects with customer success and rollout support. The company says pricing depends on expected project use, project complexity and rollout scope, and directs prospective buyers to contact sales. It does not publish a fixed price in the reviewed pricing information. Volve pricing

Volve’s product materials make outcome claims, including “60% more time on early mitigation and optimisation” and “30% less rework from clearer scope and early visibility.” The reviewed materials do not provide a methodology or independent validation for those figures, so they should be treated as marketing claims rather than expected results. Volve also says subcontractors and suppliers account for 70 to 80% of a construction project’s expenditure. Its feature page does not provide an underlying study or method for that share, so it is a company-attributed figure, not an independently established benchmark. Volve’s product information

The available information supports describing Volve as a tool for organizing project documents and assisting construction tender and contract workflows. It does not establish that using it improves bid quality, reduces risk or saves time by a particular amount. Those outcomes need to be evaluated against a team’s own projects and review standards.
