Construction has begun on the Miller House, a planned free place to stay near downtown Augusta, Georgia, for families whose child is receiving treatment at Wellstar Golisano Children’s Hospital. The project is intended to house one family at a time, including siblings, while the child is in treatment. Its organizers are aiming for completion by spring 2027; that is a goal, not a confirmed opening date.
What the Miller House will provide
The Miller House is designed to ease the lodging burden for families traveling to Augusta for a child’s treatment. All In For Miller is leading the project. The plan is for a whole family to stay together at no cost, with capacity for one family at a time. WRDW/WAGT reported the project details on October 6, 2026.
Co-founder Alanda Grover said the aim is to make families feel supported and not alone during treatment. She also emphasized including siblings, whose lives are disrupted when a child in the family is ill. These are the foundation’s stated goals for the house, rather than a published description of a formal support or clinical program.
Where the project is and when it may be ready
The house is at the corner of 11th and Miller streets near downtown Augusta. As of the October 6, 2026 report, construction had started, and the project’s stated target was completion by the following spring. The report did not confirm an opening date.

A community blessing at the home was scheduled for October 16, 2026, from 8 a.m. to noon. The report announced the event in advance; it does not establish whether it took place.
Who is behind the project
All In For Miller is the organization leading the Miller House project. Grover said the foundation is named for her son Miller, who died of cancer in 2017 at age four. Earlier coverage in September 2025 also described the project as a refuge for families connected with pediatric cancer treatment.

Augusta University’s Foundation listed an “All In for Miller” fund in its 2023 fund list. That listing establishes that a fund with this name appeared in that year’s list; it does not explain the current donation route or establish the fund’s relationship to Miller House lodging. Wellstar Foundation’s hospital giving page describes general regional giving and in-kind support for the hospital’s Child Life team, not a confirmed Miller House donation or lodging program.

The October 2026 report said donations were still being accepted, but did not provide a direct Miller House donation link. It also did not explain how families can apply, who decides eligibility, whether hospital referrals are required, or how long a stay may last. Families seeking accommodation or people wishing to donate should contact All In For Miller or the hospital to confirm current arrangements; the available report does not specify a contact method.
