The October 6–7, 2026 Amazon promotion is Prime Big Deal Days—not Amazon’s June Prime Day. A Bob Vila roundup published October 6 names discounts on Bosch, DeWalt, Worx and other power tools, but its listed prices may change and one Bosch kit has two different prices on the same page. Check the current Amazon listing before buying.
Which power tools does the October roundup feature?
Bob Vila’s October 6 roundup highlights cordless drills, combo kits, saws and nailers. Named examples include:
- Bosch 12V FlexiClick Drill/Driver Kit
- DeWalt 20V drill and impact driver combo
- Worx 20V reciprocating saw/jigsaw
- Black+Decker 20V Drill Kit
The roundup also mentions tools from Makita, Metabo HPT, Flex and Craftsman. See the Bob Vila power tool roundup for the linked products. The page discloses that it may earn revenue from products and participates in affiliate programs.
Why the October event is not Prime Day
The roundup uses “Prime Day” in its headline, but describes an October Prime Big Deal Days promotion. Amazon’s official announcement dates Prime Day 2026 to June 23–26; it is a separate event from the October sale. Tom’s Guide also referred to early October offers as Prime Big Deal Days in its October 5 coverage.

How to judge whether a tool deal is worthwhile
Check the live price and seller
The roundup lists the DeWalt combo at $149 (was $239), the Worx saw/jigsaw at $69.31 (was $129.99), and the Black+Decker drill kit at $49.99 (was $59.99). These are prices reported in the October 6 article, not confirmed live prices. The Bosch kit is shown at $147.10 in the introduction and $141.54 in the deal section, both compared with $255. That discrepancy is a reason to verify the current listing rather than rely on the roundup’s displayed figure. The article does not establish a price history to substantiate its “up to 50%” claim.

Account for batteries and chargers
A cordless tool listed as “tool only” or “bare” generally does not include the battery and charger needed to use it. Check whether the kit includes them and whether its battery platform is compatible with batteries you already own. Compare the total cost of a usable setup, not just the advertised tool price.

Match the tool to the job
Compare tools by the work you need to do—for example, drilling and driving versus cutting—and then compare kit contents, battery compatibility and total cost. A lower advertised price is not necessarily the better choice if it leaves you needing a battery, charger or different tool for the task.
