Roberts Co’s first UAE project is Phase 2 of Arada Central Business District in Aljada, Sharjah, and the contractor is also providing preconstruction services on other Arada projects in Dubai and Sharjah. Arada says bringing construction expertise into development earlier is intended to strengthen control over quality, programme and cost; the announcement does not establish that those benefits have already been achieved.
What Roberts Co will do in the UAE
Sharjah24 reported on 6 October 2026 that Roberts Co had established a UAE presence, with a substantial head office team in place, as part of Arada Industries. The report names Phase 2 of Arada Central Business District in Aljada, Sharjah, as the contractor’s first UAE project. It does not say that work has begun onsite.
Roberts Co is also providing preconstruction services on a number of other Arada projects in Dubai and Sharjah. The report does not identify those projects or specify their scope, contract values or schedules. Read Sharjah24’s announcement.
Why Arada is expanding the contractor
Arada presents the move as a way to integrate construction expertise earlier in its development process. The company says this approach is intended to improve efficiency and control over quality, programme and cost, as well as strengthen its competitive position. Those are stated objectives, not independently verified results: the UAE announcement provides no quantified savings, delivery-time improvements or project performance data.

The move places Roberts Co within Arada Industries, Arada’s construction vertical. It extends the contractor’s geography from Australia into the UAE, but the announcement does not quantify the UAE expansion’s investment or establish a measured advantage over competing contractors.
How the UAE move follows Roberts Co’s Australian expansion
Arada announced its acquisition of Roberts Co’s New South Wales arm on 7 May 2025. The announcement described an immediate $20 million recapitalisation and said the acquisition was intended to support expansion into new sectors and geographies. It identified four Sydney projects that were to continue: Carlingford West Public School, Cumberland High School, the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and HOME Parramatta build-to-rent. In that 2025 announcement, Arada reported 120 direct employees and 600 people across 200 subcontractors and suppliers connected to the NSW business. These are historical company-reported figures for the Australian business at acquisition, not current UAE staffing figures.
On 23 October 2025, Arada announced a $50 million capital injection into Roberts Co. It comprised a previously announced $25 million recapitalisation and an additional $25 million in funding; the announcement also described Queensland, including Brisbane and the Gold Coast, as an expansion focus. - The identities, scope, values and schedules of the additional Dubai and Sharjah projects.
- The UAE expansion’s investment amount or current UAE headcount.
- Whether Roberts Co has begun onsite work on the Aljada project.

The announcement therefore establishes a UAE presence and a named first project, alongside preconstruction work on other Arada developments. It does not provide enough information to assess the expansion’s delivery performance or financial scale.
