Rochester, Minnesota, was scheduled to consider a construction bid for the Silver Lake Sediment Removal and Dam Modification project on Monday, October 5, 2026. What the proposed Silver Lake project includes

In June 2024, the Rochester City Council authorized a $793,385 contract with WHKS for project management, topographic survey, and final design. The work covered dam modification, sediment removal, pedestrian bridge footings, and trail connections. The council also authorized advertising construction bids after design completion and negotiating a grant agreement with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. That authorization funded engineering and project development; it was not a construction award.
