Protect yourself while mixing and casting
Fresh cement-based mixtures are alkaline. The American Cement Association gives a pH range of 12 to 13 for concrete and other cement mixtures and warns that prolonged contact can cause severe burns. Wear waterproof gloves and full-coverage safety glasses or goggles with side shields while mixing and handling concrete.
- Avoid prolonged skin contact; promptly rinse contaminated skin and clothing.
- If material splashes into your eyes, flush with clean water.
- Read the safety information for the specific product before use.
