Greene County deputies located and contacted the second man seen in surveillance footage during a July construction-material theft, according to a KY3 report published October 6, 2026. The report says deputies did not recover the stolen materials and does not say the man was arrested or charged.
What happened at the construction site?
The theft was reported on July 10, 2026. Footage showed two men loading construction materials into a truck at a job site, according to KY3’s earlier account, which described information from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.
How did deputies locate the second man?
After the case appeared on KY3’s Catch-a-Crook segment, deputies received tips that helped identify both men. An earlier tip helped investigators locate a suspect vehicle in Springfield, and the first suspect was arrested in early August. KY3 reported that charges for that suspect were submitted to the prosecuting attorney’s office; that is not a court finding or conviction.
In the October 6 follow-up, KY3 said deputies located and contacted the second man on September 29. Deputy Jonah Beadles, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office public information officer, said a detective spoke with him and digital evidence corroborated information from that contact. Beadles described the conversation as cordial.
