Yes—spiral-shaped LED bulbs exist, but the spiral shape alone doesn’t tell you whether a bulb will fit or suit your space. Start with your fixture’s base and electrical requirements, then compare brightness, color temperature, dimming support, and physical clearance. LEDVANCE lists DULUXSTAR Spiral LED examples in E27 and B22 versions; these are specification examples, not tested recommendations, and local availability may vary.
Do spiral LED bulbs exist?
Yes. LEDVANCE lists DULUXSTAR Spiral LED variants, including an E27 model and a B22 model. The technology matters: a spiral is a shape, not a guarantee that the lamp uses LED technology. ENERGY STAR’s qualified-lamps list separates technology from bulb type and includes spiral CFLs as well as LED products in other shapes. Check the product label and specifications rather than relying on appearance.
What base does my spiral bulb need?
The bulb’s cap must match the fixture socket. E27 and B22 are different base types, so one should not be treated as a substitute for the other. Check the marking on the existing lamp, the fixture, or its manual; also confirm the required voltage and the complete local product specifications before buying.
LEDVANCE lists the DULUXSTAR Spiral LED MTW7.5WTCE27 as an E27 version and the MTW7.5WTCB22 as a B22 version. The listing of both versions does not establish that both are sold in every country.

How many lumens do I need?
Use lumens to compare how much light a lamp is specified to produce; watts describe electrical power use, not brightness by themselves. Choose an output suited to the fixture and the job—such as general room lighting or a smaller accent fixture—and compare like with like. The cited LEDVANCE example is listed at 7.5W, but the cited product information does not establish a lumen figure, so that wattage alone is not enough to compare its brightness with another bulb.
What color temperature should I choose?
Color temperature, stated in kelvins (K), describes the appearance of the light. The LEDVANCE E27 example offers selectable 2700K, 4000K, and 6500K settings, spanning warm to cooler-looking light. Check how the specific model selects its settings and whether the chosen setting suits the room; do not assume every spiral LED has selectable color temperature.

Are spiral LED bulbs dimmable?
Not necessarily. The LEDVANCE E27 listing describes its integrated driver as non-dimmable. If you need dimming, confirm that the exact bulb model supports it and that it is compatible with the fixture’s dimmer. A spiral appearance or LED technology is not evidence of dimming support.
What else should I check before buying?
- Physical fit: Compare the bulb’s dimensions with the fixture and allow for shade, enclosure, and clearance constraints.
- Electrical compatibility: Match the base and voltage to the fixture and read the full specifications for the local product.
- Rated life and warranty: Compare the stated lifetime and warranty rather than assuming they are the same across models.
- Local availability: Confirm that the precise base and model are sold where you live.
Product pages and certification listings provide specifications, not a head-to-head performance test. ENERGY STAR’s list is useful for fields such as base, lumens, wattage, rated life, color temperature, and warranty, but an old qualification entry does not establish current retail availability.

Is a spiral CFL the same as a spiral LED?
No. Both can have a spiral form, but CFL and LED are different lighting technologies. For example, Satco’s listing describes a 23W T2 spiral CFL with an E26 medium base, 1600 lumens, 2700K color temperature, a 12000-hour rated life, and non-dimmable operation. Those are the listing’s specifications for a CFL—not an LED recommendation. If you are specifically shopping for an LED, verify that the product is labeled LED before comparing it.
