How to find 20 deals that are actually available
- Start with the official open-box page. Browse the category that fits your project, then use clearance listings when you want to compare marked-down furniture specifically.
- Open each product listing. Record the exact name, size, finish, condition label, current price, and displayed comparison price. Do not combine ordinary sale products with open-box picks without identifying the difference.
- Check your location. Enter your ZIP code or otherwise confirm local delivery and pickup options on the live listing. Availability and fulfillment can vary by location.
- Calculate the markdown from the shown prices. Use (comparison price â current price) Ă· comparison price Ă 100. Round the result and describe it as approximate; do not apply the pageâs maximum advertised discount to every item.
- Review the return terms before checkout. Pottery Barnâs U.S. returns policy says eligible items may be returned within 30 days of receiving an order, or within 7 days for Quick Ship upholstery items, for a refund of the merchandise value. The policy excludes final-sale items ending in .97, among other exclusions. Check the current policy and the individual itemâs eligibility.
Why âup to 70% offâ does not mean every item is 70% off
The outlet page capture displayed a seasonal âUp to 70% offâ banner, while the general sale page displayed âUp to 60% off.â Those captures predate October 5, 2026, and do not verify which offer is live today. Treat a maximum discount as a banner claim tied to the page and date you see itânot as the typical markdown or a guarantee for any particular product. Individual listings may show smaller reductions, and their prices and stock can change.
What to inspect on open-box furniture
Open-box labels such as âGood Conditionâ or âLike-New Conditionâ describe the retailerâs stated condition category. A label alone does not establish the exact marks, missing parts, warranty coverage, or return eligibility. Before ordering furniture, review the live product details and fulfillment options; where provided, compare dimensions, materials, and finish against your room and intended use. Ask Pottery Barn about any uncertainty that the listing does not resolve.
Understand the .97 price before you buy
Under Pottery Barnâs captured U.S. return policy, items ending in .97 are final sale and cannot be returned. The policy also lists other exclusions, including made-to-order furniture and custom goods. Because the displayed price can have consequences beyond the discount, confirm the current return terms and the specific productâs eligibility before placing an order.

Can you build a dependable list of 20 picks?
Only by checking the live listings at the time of publication and for the intended delivery area. The captured official pages establish a few named examples and the outlet categories, but not 20 stable, currently available products. A trustworthy 20-item list needs a current product page for every pick, with its size or finish, condition, price pair, location availability, and return status checked. Without that verification, calling older examples âthe best dealsâ would overstate what is known.
