TM-1817 is a training guide for HVAC duct modelling in AVEVA Everything3D (E3D) 2.1. Its Revision 2.0 entry is dated 11 March 2016. The guide explains how to set up and build duct networks in a 3D project model, but it is not evidence of current E3D compatibility, support, or license access.
What TM-1817 covers
The guide presents HVAC Designer as a module within the E3D Model environment. It describes creating, positioning, orienting, and connecting HVAC elements through the HVAC form. Its examples are training workflows for learning model operations, not project-specific engineering design recommendations.

The reproduced contents cover:
- HVAC main and side branches, and circular, rectangular, and flat-oval duct components.
- Bends, offsets, transformations, connectors, dampers, grilles, and plenums.
- Routing ductwork around other model items, splitting and merging branches, and filling gaps.
- Stiffening flanges, joint types, access panels, equipment nozzles, hole management, and HVAC sketches.
Why database hierarchy matters
The guide says that some element types depend on the database hierarchy being configured correctly. If an element is unavailable in the HVAC form, its absence may reflect the current hierarchy location rather than a missing modelling operation. Check the project database structure and applicable project procedures before assuming the guide’s workflow is unavailable.
Version, revision, and license
The reproduced revision history identifies Rev. 2.0 as “Issued for Training AVEVA E3D™ (2.1)” on 11 March 2016. That identifies the software version and date associated with this manual revision; it does not establish that this is the latest guide or that its instructions work unchanged in later releases.

The reproduced manual states: “This manual provides documentation relating to products to which you may not have access or which may not be licensed to you.” It directs readers to consult their license conditions. Confirm access and entitlements with AVEVA or an authorized support channel; a copy hosted on a third-party document site does not by itself establish authorization to download or use it.

Third-party document-hosting pages reproduce TM-1817, but the material available here does not verify that AVEVA currently distributes or supports this revision, or that any hosted copy is authorized. Ask AVEVA or an authorized support contact about current availability, applicable licensing, and the correct documentation for your installed release before relying on it for project work.
When using the guide as training material, treat its steps and example settings as specific to its E3D 2.1-era exercises. Validate any workflow against your installed software, project configuration, and engineering requirements.
