How to choose a size
Fissler’s US size guide gives the following serving estimates. They are manufacturer guidance, not a universal rule; the amount of food you cook and the manual’s maximum fill line also matter.

Stovetop or electric?
The documented models above are stovetop cookers. Presto’s broader range includes pressure-cooker formats and capacities beyond the 01365, but confirm the specific model’s construction and cooktop fit rather than assuming every cooker in a brand’s range is stainless steel or induction-compatible. A stovetop model may suit you if you want a cooker that works on your existing range and are comfortable managing heat at the stove. If you are considering an electric cooker, evaluate it separately: the specifications here do not establish an electric stainless-steel pick or compare electric and stovetop cooking performance.

What to check before buying
- Cooktop fit: Verify your range type against the exact model’s compatibility list. For induction, look for an explicit statement, not just a stainless-steel exterior.
- Controls: Compare the pressure settings and indicators. A traffic-light indicator, distinct cooking levels or handle-based steam release may suit different preferences, but these specifications do not prove better cooking results.
- Capacity and fill limits: Choose a size for your usual meals and follow the manual’s maximum fill instructions.
- Included parts: Confirm whether the cooker includes a rack or other accessories you need.
- Cleaning: Check the manual before putting any component in a dishwasher or immersing it.
- Wear parts and service: Check that replacement sealing rings and other model-specific parts are available in your region, and note the applicable replacement guidance.
- Warranty and price: Verify current seller, price, warranty terms and availability for your country and purchase date. They are not established here.
Safety, cleaning and maintenance
Use the manual for the exact model for filling, locking, pressure release, opening, cleaning and replacement intervals. Fissler’s US pressure-cooker guidance states: “The pot cannot be opened until it is fully depressurized.” It also advises not exceeding the manual’s maximum fill level. Fissler US pressure cookers
Fissler’s page says sealing rings and other wear parts should be replaced after 400 cooking cycles or every two years, whichever comes first. Check the applicable manual and model instructions before relying on that interval for a particular cooker. Stainless-steel construction, a long warranty or a particular control design can help narrow a shortlist, but none alone proves superior cooking. The specifications available for these models support a feature-based comparison, not a hands-on ranking or a claim about cooking speed, energy use or food quality. Choose by fit, size, controls, safety information, care requirements and verified local terms.
