Yes—Costco offered a 157-piece Le Creuset set in 2023 for about $4,500. That was a reported past offer, not confirmation that the set is available from Costco now; current stock has not been verified.
What was in Costco’s 157-piece Le Creuset set?
The package was far more than a stack of pots. Contemporary coverage described three Dutch ovens, a braiser, roasting and casserole dishes, pans, saucepans, stockpots, baking pans, utensils, tableware, a kettle, a French press, serving items, and kitchen accessories. One itemized account included a 16-quart stockpot and eight each of dinner plates, salad plates, soup bowls, and pasta bowls.
The 157-piece count includes a mix of cookware, tableware, accessories, and lids; it does not mean 157 pots and pans. The Kitchn reproduced the historical Costco product description as calling it “The ultimate cookware set from Le Creuset includes everything you need to set up your kitchen to be your own professional chef.” That was product-description copy, not a statement attributed to a named spokesperson. The Kitchn’s 2023 report and Moms Who Think’s itemization describe the offer and its contents.
What did it cost, and how was the value presented?
The Kitchn reported the Costco price at about $4,500 in October 2023. Moms Who Think listed individual prices for the included items totaling $7,102, then calculated a $2,602 difference against a Costco bundle price of $4,499.99. Those are historical figures and a publisher-calculated comparison from 2023—not today’s prices or an independently verified current discount. Moms Who Think explains its itemized comparison here.
#1 Best Overall
- Enameled cast iron delivers superior heat distribution and retention; Ready to use, requires no seasoning
- Easy-to-clean and durable enamel resists dulling, staining, chipping and cracking; Light colored smooth interior enamel allows easy monitoring of cooking progress
- Matte black satin interior enamel is easy to clean and develops a patina over time to enhance cooking performance; Tight-fitting lids are specially designed to circulate steam and return moisture back to the food
- Ergonomic knobs and handles are designed for easy lifting
- Compatible with all cooktops and oven-safe up to 500°F; Safe for dishwasher
That comparison is most relevant if you would use much of the assortment. Someone furnishing a kitchen from scratch may find a broad bundle more useful than someone replacing one pan. If you already own several of the dishes, cookware pieces, or accessories, the listed itemized value may not reflect the value you personally get from buying the whole set.
Is the set available at Costco now?
The sources establish a Costco offer in 2023, when contemporary coverage reported the set out of stock at many Costco locations. They do not establish current Costco availability. Check Costco’s live listing or contact a local warehouse before making plans; a historical article or product description cannot confirm present inventory.

- Compatible with all cooktops and oven-safe up to 500°F (tempered glass lids up to 425°F)
How to decide whether a large set makes sense
- Confirm availability and today’s price. Check directly with Costco rather than relying on the 2023 offer.
- List what you would actually use. Compare the current bundle price with the current prices of the pieces you need, not just a historical itemized total.
- Account for the mix. The package combines cookware with tableware and accessories, so consider whether you want all those categories.
- Plan for storage and use. A large assortment requires room and suits a kitchen setup better than a one-item replacement.
What if you only want one Le Creuset piece?
A standalone Dutch oven is a narrower option if you do not need the bundle. The Kitchn’s 2023 article identified an Amazon listing for a 7.25-quart enameled cast-iron Dutch oven, but its price and availability at that time are not current shopping information. A 7.25-quart Signature Round Dutch Oven was also listed as one of the historical Costco bundle’s contents. Check current retailer listings for present prices and stock. The Kitchn’s 2023 Dutch oven article describes the standalone option.
