5 New Robot Vacuums from CES 2026—and What They Signal for Home Cleaning

CES 2026 robot-vacuum announcements explore stair-climbing mobility, higher thresholds, roller mopping, object and liquid sensing, and extras such as scent pods—with claims and availability still needing context.

CES 2026’s robot-vacuum announcements point toward machines designed to do more than vacuum open floors: climb or cross barriers, make more deliberate cleaning decisions, and manage wet cleaning in new ways. Five examples—the Roborock Saros Rover, Saros 20, Qrevo Curv 2 Flow, Eufy Omni S2, and Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra—show those ambitions. They are examples of announced features, not a verified ranking of real-world cleaning performance; the Rover, in particular, was described at CES as still in development.

What the CES 2026 announcements tell us

The direction is toward less hands-on setup: robots that can negotiate more of a home, identify more of what is on the floor, and use more active wet-cleaning systems. But a sensor or a manufacturer-stated obstacle limit is not proof that a robot will handle every home reliably. The announcements describe what companies are pursuing, not results from a common independent test.

That distinction matters when comparing these five models. Some figures below are manufacturer specifications; the Eufy price and launch date are historical CES reporting, not current offers. Product availability can vary by region, and the CES coverage does not establish that every model is available now.

Five robots, five directions

Roborock Saros Rover: a robot designed to climb stairs

The Saros Rover is the most ambitious mobility concept in this group. Roborock described a wheel-leg design with independently moving legs intended to climb stairs and clean individual treads as it ascends. Vacuum Wars characterized it as a real product in development, while Tom’s Guide reported at CES that price and availability had not been announced. Treat it as a development to watch, not a retail recommendation or proof that stair-climbing robots are ready for ordinary homes.

Its dual rotating electric side brushes sweep and collect hidden pet hair more efficiently throughout the house, saving you the hassle.

Roborock Saros 20: thresholds and object recognition

The Saros 20 addresses smaller barriers rather than stairs. Roborock says its AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0 can cross a single threshold up to 4.5 cm or a double-layer threshold up to 8.5 cm. Those are company specifications, not independent measurements. Roborock also claims the StarSight Autonomous System 2.0 can recognize up to 201 objects, and lists a 35,000 Pa motor. The object count describes the company’s stated recognition capability; it does not establish how consistently the robot will avoid objects in a particular room.

Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow: a roller instead of a conventional mop pad

The Qrevo Curv 2 Flow illustrates a push toward more engineered wet cleaning. Roborock calls it its first robot vacuum equipped with a roller and describes a system that cleans the roller in real time. The company states 15 N of downward mopping pressure; Vacuum Wars reports a roller speed of 220 rotations per minute and eight water nozzles. These are announced specifications, not a head-to-head demonstration that it cleans better than other robots.

Eufy Omni S2: sensing plus scent dispensing

Tom’s Guide’s CES coverage describes the Omni S2 as combining floor recognition and AI recognition of more than 200 objects and 40 stain types with aromatherapy pods. The same report gives claimed suction of 30,000 Pa, a January 20 launch date, and a $1,599 MSRP. The date and price are historical event reporting, not confirmation of a current sale or regional listing. Scent dispensing is an extra home-care feature; it should not be confused with a measure of vacuuming or mopping performance.

Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra: liquid sensing and steam

Tom’s Guide reports that Samsung’s model combines object and liquid recognition with extending mop and side brushes, steam heating to 212°F, and wheels that lift to cross thresholds up to 2.4 inches. Vacuum Wars also describes the CES showcase as combining deep-learning object recognition with liquid detection. These descriptions reflect product announcements and reporting; a steam-temperature claim alone does not establish disinfection efficacy, and the sensing claims do not guarantee that every spill or obstacle will be handled correctly.

What to watch as robot cleaning evolves

Mobility is expanding from thresholds toward stairs

The Saros Rover represents the more radical end of the mobility push, while the Saros 20 and Samsung model target thresholds. Ecovacs’ CES announcements offer another sign of interest in water management: Vacuum Wars reports that its X12 and T90 use a 26 cm OSMO Roller 3.0, and that the X12 adds a claimed infrared stain detector and Focus Jet spray system. These examples show design priorities, not proof that a robot can clean every floor plan or stain without supervision.

Sensors are being tied to cleaning decisions

Recognition claims now cover more than navigation. The announcements describe identifying objects, floors, stains, or liquids, with the implied goal of changing how the robot moves or cleans. The useful question for a buyer is not only what a device says it can recognize, but how well it responds in their home—a result these CES announcements do not independently establish.

Convenience features are widening the category

Eufy’s scent pods show how manufacturers are adding home-care extras around the core cleaning job. Those additions may suit some households, but they should be weighed separately from practical criteria such as floor compatibility, obstacle handling, and wet-cleaning design.

How to read CES product claims

  • Check whether a figure is a company specification or an independently measured result. The Saros 20’s object and threshold figures, and the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow’s stated pressure, are manufacturer claims.
  • Separate announcement status from availability. The Saros Rover was described as in development, with no price or availability reported at CES; do not assume every announced product is currently sold.
  • Do not treat a sensor count as a guarantee. Object, stain, floor, or liquid recognition claims do not establish reliable performance in every home.
  • Keep historical event details in context. Eufy’s reported $1,599 MSRP and January 20 launch date describe CES reporting, not a verified current offer.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
