Rock the Block Season 6 premiered April 14, 2025, with a veterans-versus-rookies matchup and a new blind-judging format. Jordan Knight joined his brother Jonathan’s team, making his Rock the Block debut—not a confirmed network debut. The season has since concluded, with Alison Victoria and Michel Smith Boyd winning.

What changed in Season 6?

HGTV recast the competition as veterans against rookies and introduced blind judging. Instead of assessing a space with its designers present, judges toured the finished work, gave their assessments, and then learned which team had created it. The format put more emphasis on the completed rooms themselves and less on contestants explaining their choices in the moment.

Bobby Berk judged the kitchen and living area in the two-hour premiere. Later assignments included HGTV personalities evaluating first-floor spaces and the main suite, while contestants judged one another’s second-floor bonus areas. Subsequent challenges featured multifunctional lower levels, with possible amenities including a pickleball court, cold plunge, sauna, theater and wine room. Those were season-wide features, not all part of the premiere.

HGTV also characterized the houses, challenges and backyards as larger than in previous seasons. The Season 6 guide describes modern homes just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, with mountain views, tall interior spaces and the largest backyards in the show’s history. Its published details support that broad comparison, but do not provide a room-by-room measurement against every earlier season.

Who competed, and what were the rules?

Four teams renovated identical properties over six weeks, working with a $250,000 budget per team. The two-hour premiere focused on planning and building the kitchen, dining and living areas. The season ran for seven episodes, with the homes ultimately measured by their final appraised value. The winning team earned bragging rights and a street named in its honor.

Who was the new star?

Jordan Knight, a member of New Kids on the Block, competed with his brother Jonathan. HGTV described Jordan as new to Rock the Block and noted that he had assisted Jonathan on a property flip for Farmhouse Fixer: Camp Revamp. That supports calling this Jordan’s Rock the Block debut; it does not establish that he was making his first appearance on HGTV or any television network.

Who won Season 6?

Alison Victoria and Michel Smith Boyd won the season, according to HGTV’s guide updated May 26, 2025. The win was Michel’s second on Rock the Block, making him the show’s first two-time winning designer, HGTV said.

When did it premiere, and where was it available?

Season 6 premiered Monday, April 14, 2025, at 9/8c on HGTV. At launch, HGTV said new episodes would be available on Max and discovery+ the day after broadcast, beginning April 15, 2025. That describes the launch arrangement, not necessarily the services’ current catalogs.

Warner Bros. Discovery reported 7.5 million total viewers across linear and streaming since the April 14 premiere. This is the network’s reported combined audience figure, rather than a linear-only rating.
