Paris Hilton’s former Malibu home was a 3,000-square-foot beachfront house with ocean-facing glass, balconies, an all-white kitchen and stairs leading directly to the beach. It was not the Malibu home reported sold for $8 million: that three-story glass-front property belonged to her uncle, Steve Hilton. Architectural Digest reported that Paris Hilton and Carter Reum’s separate home was purchased for $8.4 million and was destroyed in the early 2025 wildfires.
Which Malibu house was reported at $8 million?
The $8 million figure refers to a different property. Architectural Digest reported in 2017 that Steve Hilton, Paris Hilton’s uncle, sold his glass-front Malibu home for that amount. The magazine described it as a distinctive three-story house built in 1988 and renovated in 2010 by architect Jay Vanos. Architectural Digest’s account of Steve Hilton’s home identifies its owner and sale.
Paris Hilton and her husband, Carter Reum, owned a separate beachfront home. Architectural Digest reported that they purchased it for $8.4 million five months before their 2021 wedding. These are reported transaction prices from different years, not current valuations.
| Property | Reported price and date | Architecture and features | Reported status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Steve Hilton’s glass-front home | $8 million sale, reported in 2017 | Three stories; built in 1988 and renovated in 2010 | Reported sold in 2017 |
| Paris Hilton and Carter Reum’s beachfront home | $8.4 million purchase, reported in 2025; purchased five months before their 2021 wedding | 3,000 square feet; three bedrooms and three bathrooms; built in 1955 | Destroyed in early 2025 wildfires |
What did Paris Hilton’s Malibu home look like?
The home’s design was contemporary and oriented toward the Pacific. Architectural Digest described floor-to-ceiling glass windows facing the ocean and multiple balconies. A promotional video showed an airy, all-white kitchen, while stairs from a deck descended directly onto the beach. The home was built in 1955 and had three bedrooms and three bathrooms, according to Architectural Digest’s report on the couple’s Malibu property.
#1 Best Overall
- Durable Construction: Made from 1/8" Max-Metal, an aluminum composite material (ACM) with a polyethylene core and white-coated aluminum skins on each face — won't rot, warp, or fade like wood.
- Long Horizontal Size: Measures 15 × 5 inches — a 3:1 horizontal shape that fits above doorways, mantels, gallery walls, and narrow spaces where square signs feel cramped.
- UV-Printed Graphic — Not a Real Enamel, Linen, or Paper Sign: The artwork is a high-resolution UV-printed image on a smooth white aluminum face. It looks like a vintage porcelain-enamel sign, a linen travel postcard, or an old WPA travel poster from across the room but is actually a printed graphic — no rust, no chips, no paper to yellow or tear. UV ink is scratch- and fade-resistant for long-lasting color.
- Easy to Hang: Pre-drilled 3/16" mounting holes on each end for quick installation with screws, bolts, or zip ties (hardware not included).
- Proudly Made in the USA: Crafted by our family-owned business in Brownsburg, Indiana — supporting local manufacturing.
That reporting gives a sense of the house’s principal design features, but it does not provide a complete room-by-room inventory. Details such as a custom aquarium, glass partitions, skylights and a courtyard hot tub belong to Steve Hilton’s different home—not Paris Hilton’s.
Why is there no current interior tour?
Paris Hilton and Carter Reum’s Malibu house was destroyed in the early 2025 wildfires, according to Architectural Digest’s report on the destruction. Hilton said she learned what had happened while watching the news with her family. In a statement quoted by the magazine, she wrote: “Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience.” She also said that her family and pets were safe. In March 2026, the Associated Press reported that Hilton described losing the home where she was raising her young children as “very emotional.”
