The Our Place Wonder Oven Pro makes a credible case for an air fryer oven if you want a roomy cooking surface and will also use its toaster-oven functions. It is less compelling if you mainly want the fastest preheat, a compact appliance or the most consistent air-frying performance. RTINGS’ independent tests found it handled a large batch well, but also measured a slow preheat and a bulky footprint.
What kind of appliance is the Wonder Oven Pro?
It is an oven-style air fryer, not a compact appliance with a pull-out drawer. Our Place describes the Pro as a multi-function countertop oven with digital time and temperature controls, steam infusion, and Proof and Dehydrate functions. Its included accessories are an air-frying basket, bake pan, wire rack or racks, and crumb tray. The manufacturer’s current US product page lists its features and advertised capacity: Our Place Wonder Oven Pro.
Our Place advertises a 30 L capacity. RTINGS measured the chamber at 15.8 L overall, with 12.33 L usable in its middle-rack air-frying configuration. Those numbers describe different things: advertised capacity versus RTINGS’ measurements of the chamber and a particular usable setup. The product’s broad cooking surface may matter more in practice than either headline volume figure.
The Pro is distinct from the standard 12 L Wonder Oven and the 30 L Large Wonder Oven. In RTINGS’ comparison, the standard Wonder Oven’s measured capacity is 6.7 L, compared with 15.8 L for the Pro’s full chamber; the Pro also takes up more counter space. See RTINGS’ Wonder Oven and Wonder Oven Pro comparison for the model-specific measurements.

How well does it air-fry?
RTINGS describes the Pro as providing “excellent performance for large-batch cooking.” Its air-frying basket has a measured surface area of 145.1 square inches (936.2 square centimeters), which gives food room to spread out rather than pile up. That can be useful when you want to cook a larger batch in one layer.
In RTINGS’ fries test, 70% of the fries were crispy, 13.3% were overcooked and 16.7% were undercooked. These are the results of that particular test, not a promise about other foods, recipes, loads or rack positions. RTINGS also notes that basket-style fryers tend to outperform oven-style models at air-frying, so the Pro’s generous surface area does not make it the best choice for every crisping task. Full test details are in RTINGS’ Wonder Oven Pro air-fryer review.

What are the trade-offs in everyday use?
Preheat time
RTINGS measured 5 minutes and 9 seconds for the Pro to reach 400°F in its air-fryer test and characterized its preheating as slow. Its separate toaster-oven review measured 3 minutes and 30 seconds to reach 350°F. Because the target temperatures differ, those two times are not a like-for-like comparison. The toaster-oven review also reports its own findings on the appliance’s oven functions: RTINGS’ Wonder Oven Pro toaster-oven review.
Counter space
RTINGS lists the appliance at 16.8 inches wide, 15.4 inches deep and 13.7 inches high, and calls it bulky. Before buying, measure the surface you plan to use and check the manufacturer’s current instructions for operating clearances. A unit that stays out on the counter may suit a different household from one that must be put away after every use.

- EXCLUSIVE STEAM INFUSION TECHNOLOGY: Just 1–2 teaspoons of water lift moisture back into food, refreshing items like stale bread, and leftover lunches for that just-made feeling.
- CONSISTENT, EVEN RESULTS: A powerful 360° convection system circulates heat evenly across every rack, creating crisp, golden textures on vegetables, proteins, and sides without the bulkiness of a stand-alone air fryer oven.
Functions beyond air-frying
The Pro’s oven format is its strongest argument against a basket model if you will regularly use functions such as toast, bake, roast, proof or dehydrate. Those modes may let it take on several countertop jobs, but only if they fit your cooking routine. Our Place’s feature descriptions are manufacturer claims, not independent performance findings; its current page is the best place to check the modes and included accessories for the version being sold.

There is no universally better format. The practical choice depends on what you cook, how much food you make at once, where the appliance will live and whether its extra modes will earn their counter space.

| Priority | Why the Wonder Oven Pro may suit you | Why a basket fryer may suit you better |
|---|---|---|
| Large batches | RTINGS measured a 145.1-square-inch basket surface and found strong large-batch performance in its test. | A smaller cooking area may mean cooking in multiple rounds, depending on the model and portion size. |
| Fast air-frying | The Pro combines air-frying with oven functions in one appliance. | RTINGS says basket-style fryers tend to outperform oven-style models at air-frying. |
| Counter space and storage | It may consolidate several countertop cooking tasks if you use its other modes. | The Pro is bulky; a compact model may be easier to accommodate or store. |
| Cooking flexibility | Its oven layout and additional modes suit people who also want toaster-oven tasks. | A basket fryer is the more focused option when air-frying is the main job. |
Who should consider the Wonder Oven Pro?
- Consider it if you want a broad surface for larger batches and expect to use its oven-style functions as well as air-frying.
- Look at basket models if quick preheating, compact storage or air-frying performance above all else matters most.
- Measure first if counter space is limited or the appliance needs to be stored between uses.
- Compare the Pro with the standard Wonder Oven if you are deciding between the two Our Place models: the Pro has a substantially larger measured chamber, but it also requires more space.
The Wonder Oven Pro is not evidence that every air fryer is worth owning. It is a persuasive option for someone who wants an oven-style appliance with room for larger batches and other useful cooking modes, and who can accept a slower preheat and a sizable footprint. If air-frying speed and compactness are the priorities, a basket model is the more natural place to look.
