The exact Glassford Hill Road construction schedule for Oct. 5–16, 2026, has not been confirmed in the latest available notices. The most recent detailed work schedule covers Sept. 28–Oct. 2, so its hours and activities should not be assumed to continue. The Town of Prescott Valley says one lane in each direction will remain open during construction; check current signs and Town notices for conditions during your trip.

Where the project is taking place

The Town of Prescott Valley’s broader Glassford Hill Road Widening: Long Look Drive to SR 89A Project covers the corridor between Long Look Drive and State Route 89A. The Town says Glassford Hill Road connects SR 69 and SR 89A and that existing traffic flow and pedestrian and bicyclist accessibility are limited. It describes the project as intended to improve traffic flow and roadway access for all users; those are the Town’s stated goals, not measured results. Town of Prescott Valley project information.

The latest construction notices focus on a more limited active-work segment: from Spouse Drive to just north of Tuscany Way/Granville Parkway. That distinction matters: the project corridor is longer than the stretch identified in the recent weekly work updates.

What work is planned for Oct. 5–16?

The available notices do not confirm workdays, hours, lane shifts, pedestrian closures, or construction tasks for Oct. 5–16. The Town’s Sept. 25 update describes roadway excavation, subgrade preparation, curb, gutter and sidewalk installation, and retaining-wall construction in the active segment. A SignalsAZ transcript announced those activities for Sept. 28–Oct. 2, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. That earlier schedule is not confirmation that the same hours or work continue during Oct. 5–16.

What drivers, pedestrians and local visitors should expect

The Town’s Sept. 25 notice says one lane in each direction of Glassford Hill Road will remain open throughout construction and that businesses, schools, and residential communities will remain accessible. Treat this as the Town’s project guidance, not a guarantee of unchanged travel times or access arrangements on every date. Its Sept. 28–Oct. 2 notice warned of possible delays, construction equipment and traffic-control devices in the roadway, and periodic sidewalk or pedestrian closures; those week-specific warnings do not establish conditions for Oct. 5–16.

Project scope and anticipated completion

The Town’s Sept. 18 update identifies Asphalt Paving & Supply as the contractor and describes the planned improvements as added northbound and southbound lanes, new curbs, gutters and sidewalks, drainage improvements, and a paved shoulder between Long Look Drive and SR 89A. The Town presents this widening as part of its broader Glassford Hill Road Safety and Capacity Improvements Project.

The Town’s published target is anticipated completion in late December 2026, contingent on weather or other unforeseen circumstances. It is a target, not a guaranteed finish date.
