The 3i S10 Ultra is no longer an upcoming Amazon launch: 3i announced its U.S. availability in November 2024. Its unusual selling point is the WaterRecycleTM dock, which distills dirty mop water and can collect moisture from the air to reduce—but not necessarily eliminate—the need for manual water refills.
It is a connected robot vacuum-and-mop with a self-washing roller mop, automatic dust collection, mop drying, detergent dispensing, LiDAR navigation, obstacle avoidance, and pet-monitoring features. The concept is compelling, but its large dock, added mechanical complexity, climate-dependent air-to-water system, camera, and mixed independent test results deserve attention before you buy.

What is the 3i S10 Ultra?
The S10 Ultra is a floor-cleaning robot designed to vacuum carpets and hard floors while actively washing floors with a powered roller. Its all-in-one station collects debris, washes and dries the roller, dispenses detergent, manages clean and dirty water, and charges the robot.

Owners still need to replace consumables, inspect the roller and brushes, clean sensors and waste areas, keep the dock accessible, and troubleshoot the water system if something goes wrong.

The product launched on Amazon in the United States in November 2024, according to 3i’s announcement. The current official listing and Amazon availability should be checked directly rather than relying on the original launch language.
How WaterRecycle works
The WaterRecycleTM station is the feature that most clearly separates the S10 Ultra from conventional robot vacuum-mops. The basic process is:
- Dirty water is collected after the roller is washed.
- Water is heated through a claimed 90°C sub-boiling distillation process.
- Solids are separated and directed toward the waste system.
- Condensed water is returned for cleaning use.
- Air moisture can supplement the supply when conditions are suitable.
3i says the air-to-water feature works above 30% humidity and above 17°C. It cites approximately 100 grams of water per hour at 60–70% relative humidity and 25–30°C. Those are manufacturer-stated conditions, not a guarantee for every home. In a dry climate, the system may produce little atmospheric water, so manual filling may still be necessary.

The station also consumes electricity for distillation, pumping, drying, and atmospheric water generation; 3i cites approximately 1.65 kWh per day under its stated full-cycle test conditions.
The benefit is convenience without plumbing a permanent supply or drain connection. The trade-off is a more complicated dock with heaters, pumps, sensors, condensers, and drainage components that could require support if the water cycle develops an issue.
The roller mop is more than a damp pad
The UltraReachTM roller mop continuously receives water and detergent through 12 outlets while spinning at a claimed 330 rpm. A squeegee-like mechanism removes dirty water from the roller during cleaning, helping it work with fresh cleaning solution rather than dragging a saturated pad across the floor.

The roller can extend up to 1.97 inches, or 50 mm, toward edges. That may help with baseboards and along furniture where a round robot normally leaves a wider strip untouched. 3i also specifies downward cleaning pressure, although the published figures are inconsistent: 3i lists 12N on its product page, while Vacuum Wars describes 7N in its review. Neither number should be treated as settled without clarification from the manufacturer.
An actively rinsed roller can be particularly useful for dried spills, sticky kitchen residue, footprints, tracked-in grime, and pet accidents on sealed hard floors. It still does not eliminate manual care. Hair, residue, sensors, filters, the roller channel, and the dock’s wastewater areas need periodic inspection and cleaning.
Vacuuming, carpets, and pet hair
3i claims 13,000 Pa suction, automatic carpet adaptation, carpet suction boost, a dual anti-tangle brush design, and 0.28-inch (7 mm) automatic mop lifting. Users can also designate rugs or carpets for avoidance.
The 13,000 Pa figure is a manufacturer/laboratory specification, not a universal measure of cleaning ability. Results depend on the brush design, floor surface, debris, settings, airflow, and test method, so suction numbers should not be compared directly across brands.
Independent testing from Vacuum Wars found strong overall results and above-average pet performance, but its mopping score was below the publication’s tested average. Its navigation, obstacle avoidance, and battery results were also closer to average than decisively superior. The S10 Ultra’s strongest argument is water management and automation—not proof that it leads every cleaning category.
Mop lifting also deserves realistic expectations. A 7 mm lift may protect many low-pile rugs, but it cannot guarantee that every carpet remains completely dry. Check the cleaning settings and test cautiously around flooring that is sensitive to moisture.
Navigation and obstacle avoidance
The robot uses ApexVisionTM dToF LiDAR, dual 3D structured light, and AI-based camera recognition. Supported functions include multi-floor maps, room and zone cleaning, virtual barriers, no-go zones, and a claimed ability to cross thresholds up to 0.98 inch (25 mm).

3i says its system recognizes more than 100 objects, based on 3i Lab data, and notes that the capability may change through over-the-air updates. This is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified guarantee that the robot will identify every cable, sock, toy, or pet accident in every home. Threshold performance can also vary with the approach angle, surface, and shape of the transition.
In practice, removing clutter remains worthwhile. A robot that can recognize many objects may still struggle with low-profile items, tangled cables, dark objects, or unusual furniture. The station likewise needs a clear route so the robot can dock reliably.

App, voice control, and camera features
The app supports room- and zone-specific cleaning, vacuum-only, mop-only, vacuum-and-mop, and vacuum-then-mop modes. Owners can set schedules, choose room-specific suction and water levels, manage maps, and create restricted areas. Independent coverage also reports Alexa and Google Assistant support.
The camera adds pet snapshots, live video monitoring, and video-call functions. That can be useful for checking on animals while away, but it makes account security and app permissions more important than they would be with a camera-free robot.
3i says images are not stored for AI obstacle avoidance and says the system has TÜV Rheinland certification and compliance with ETSI EN 303 645 cybersecurity regulations. These are claims and certifications to consider, but they do not mean that privacy risk is zero or that security can never fail. Use a strong, unique account password, enable available account protections, review microphone and camera permissions, and avoid granting access you do not need.
Maintenance: less frequent, not eliminated

- Replenishing approved cleaning solution.
- Inspecting the roller, brush, filters, and hair-cutting or anti-tangle areas.
- Cleaning sensors, channels, and station surfaces.
- Checking for standing water, residue, odors, or overflow.
- Maintaining the silver-ion module and carbon rod as specified by 3i.
- Keeping the dock and charging area free of clutter.
- Installing app and firmware updates.
- Checking replacement-part availability before purchase.
3i claims up to 60 days without emptying the dust bag, but pet hair, large homes, frequent schedules, and heavy debris can shorten that interval. Treat it as a maximum under stated conditions, not a household guarantee.
Anecdotal user reports have described water accumulating or overflowing inside the station and difficulty finding replacement parts. These reports do not establish a failure rate, but they are sensible issues to investigate. Before buying, confirm that dust bags, rollers, filters, cleaning solution, and other relevant parts are currently available for your region.
Size and installation
The robot measures 14.45 × 14.17 × 4.41 inches. The station measures 18.11 × 18.54 × 23.86 inches, according to 3i’s specifications.
That is a substantial dock compared with a basic charging base. Measure the intended location for width, height, front clearance, overhead clearance, and access to nearby rooms. Also check doorways, narrow corridors, thresholds, and whether furniture or clutter could prevent the robot from returning to the station.

Before regular mopping, confirm that your flooring is suitable for wet cleaning. Sealed tile, stone, laminate, and hardwood can have different care requirements. Follow the flooring manufacturer’s guidance, use conservative water settings on sensitive surfaces, and test an inconspicuous area first.

Who should consider the S10 Ultra?
It may be a good fit if you:
- Have mostly sealed hard floors.
- Regularly deal with sticky spills, tracked-in dirt, or pet messes.
- Dislike emptying dirty mop water.
- Want a highly automated dock without installing plumbing.
- Have room for a large station.
- Accept the possibility of buying into a less-established ecosystem.
Look elsewhere if you:
- Live in a very dry climate and expect atmospheric water generation to replace manual filling.
- Need the smallest possible dock or the simplest inexpensive robot.
- Have a cluttered home with many cables, socks, toys, or low-clearance objects.
- Need especially predictable replacement-part access and long-established support.
- Want independently verified best-in-class results in every category.
- Prefer a camera-free robot for privacy reasons.
- Have flooring that should not be wet-mopped.
Alternatives and comparison points
Within 3i’s range, the P10 Ultra is a less water-focused alternative with a different extendable mop design, while the G10+ emphasizes a lower price, onboard debris compression, and a different mop approach. Neither provides the S10 Ultra’s WaterRecycle system, so the choice depends on whether water autonomy or purchase simplicity matters more.
When comparing the S10 Ultra with established premium robot vacuum-mops, look beyond suction figures. Compare the mopping mechanism, hot-water washing, clean- and dirty-water capacity, plumbing options, dock size, pet-hair performance, obstacle avoidance, app reliability, warranty, replacement parts, and current street price.
Bottom line
The 3i S10 Ultra is a real 2024-launched product, not an upcoming Amazon release. Its WaterRecycle station makes a serious attempt to remove one of robot-mopping’s most annoying chores: managing dirty and clean water. That advantage is most attractive to hard-floor and pet-owning households that have space for the dock but do not want a plumbed installation.
The value is conditional. Atmospheric water production depends on climate, the station still needs maintenance and electricity, the hardware is more complex, and independent testing shows mixed category results. Check the live price, warranty, consumables, support reputation, and floor compatibility before treating the S10 Ultra as a hands-off solution.
