Verdict: The current U.S. YESOUL G1M Max is a plausible lower-cost way to ride along with streamed cycling classes, with a 21.5-inch rotating screen and manually adjusted magnetic resistance. YESOUL listed it at $599.99 on sale (regularly $999.99) when its product page was checked; prices and offers change. It can suit riders willing to follow cues and handle app or screen-mirroring setup, but it is not equivalent to a Peloton Bike: the available specifications do not establish Peloton-style automatic resistance or native metrics integration.
One naming caveat matters: this review concerns the current G1M Max listed in the U.S., not older products called G1 Max that were advertised with a 32-inch projection setup.
Which YESOUL G1 Max is this?
YESOUL’s current U.S. product is named the G1M Max and is listed with a 21.5-inch 1080p screen. Older listings use the name G1 Max for a different configuration advertised with a 32-inch projection screen. Do not assume that an older video or listing describes the current bike’s hardware or software. Compare the exact model name and screen before buying (current G1M Max listing; older 32-inch listing).

Its product summary names the frame, screen, power adapter and bike audio component; confirm the precise included accessories and delivery service for your order rather than assuming pedals, tools, mat, shoes or heart-rate monitor are included (product listing).

Using Peloton classes on the YESOUL
“Works with Peloton” can describe several different things. YESOUL promotes third-party app compatibility and screen mirroring, but that alone does not mean the bike becomes Peloton hardware. Its published specifications do not establish that the G1M Max sends resistance or output to Peloton, supplies the same native cadence and workout integration as a Peloton Bike, or changes resistance automatically in response to a class.
In practical terms, expect to select resistance with the bike’s manual control when an instructor gives a cue. Peloton’s resistance numbers are tied to its own equipment and should not be assumed to match YESOUL’s 100 levels. Use perceived effort, cadence or heart rate as a guide rather than relying on an unverified number-for-number conversion.
YESOUL describes mirroring from mobile devices and specifically notes that Android phones need DisplayPort support. Compatibility may therefore depend on the phone, tablet, cable or app—not just the bike. The product’s list of services should not be read as proof that every service runs natively on the display or works identically across iPhone, iPad, Android and other sources. Before purchasing for one specific app, confirm whether the intended setup is native, wired HDMI, or mirrored, and whether it displays ride metrics at the same time (YESOUL product page; specifications).

Screen, subscriptions and the real cost
The large rotating display is the G1M Max’s clearest differentiator from a conventional spin bike. It may be useful for YESOUL content, mirrored classes or other screen sources; it also adds another electronic component whose usefulness depends on software, app and device compatibility over time. YESOUL markets free, unlimited mirroring and says there is no forced subscription, but this does not make third-party services free.
- Bike: the observed sale price was $599.99, before any applicable tax or accessories.
- YESOUL membership: the standard bike configuration and a separate lifetime-access configuration are both offered. Check what content the membership covers and how activation works.
- Peloton, Zwift, Kinomap and Rouvy: any subscription or account requirements for these services are separate; a YESOUL lifetime offer should not be treated as paying for them.
If you already pay for Peloton, the bike may let you stream classes in a lower-cost setup, but verify the exact screen and metric workflow first. A conventional bike with a tablet can avoid dependence on a proprietary display and may be easier to keep using if its software or app support changes.
Ride and fit: what the published specs can—and cannot—tell you
YESOUL describes a steel frame, magnetic resistance and a quiet system. Those are manufacturer claims, not independent measurements of noise, frame flex, stability in sprints, resistance smoothness or long-term durability. The specification sheet does not establish that the ride feels like a Peloton, that the screen remains steady during hard efforts, or that every rider within the height range will be comfortable.

The listed height range is 4 ft 9 in to 6 ft 2 in and the maximum user weight is 265 lb. Treat these as limits, not a fit guarantee. Inseam, torso length, reach, saddle position and handlebar position all affect fit. Riders near the height or weight limits should pay particular attention to safe knee alignment and return terms. Weight capacity alone is not evidence of commercial-gym durability.

The screen’s claimed 360-degree rotation does not by itself establish that rotation is unobstructed or that cabling never restricts it; confirm the usable movement in the configuration you receive. The available sources do not establish every pedal or cleat detail, so check the listing or ask YESOUL if cycling-shoe compatibility is essential.
YESOUL versus Peloton
Peloton’s current U.S. comparison page lists the Cross Training Bike at $1,695 and the Cross Training Bike+ at $2,695, with All-Access Membership separate. The Cross Training Bike has a 21.5-inch screen and manual resistance; the Bike+ has a 23.8-inch screen and automatic or manual resistance. These are current product names and observed prices, not a generic claim about what every Peloton bike costs (Peloton’s U.S. bike page).

The YESOUL can provide a similar basic indoor-cycling workout while omitting much of Peloton’s integrated software and hardware experience. Whether the price gap is worthwhile depends on how much you value automatic resistance, native tracking, leaderboard and class integration, and service support.

The Schwinn IC4 is a useful alternative if you already own a tablet or prefer conventional hardware. Schwinn listed it at $799, discounted from $999 during the research pass, and specifies 100 magnetic resistance levels, Bluetooth, a backlit LCD console, a device holder, dual-sided SPD/toe-cage pedals and a 330-lb maximum user weight. Schwinn lists an approximate rider range of 5 ft 1 in to 6 ft 4 in. Price and availability can change (Schwinn IC4 listing).

The IC4 trades the YESOUL’s built-in 21.5-inch screen and speakers for a simpler console and tablet-based viewing. It may be the more sensible choice for someone prioritizing the higher listed weight limit, device flexibility or less reliance on a proprietary screen. The YESOUL is more appealing if a large integrated display and lower observed sale price matter most.

Warranty, returns and owner reports
YESOUL lists a one-year limited warranty and 14-day return period. A heavy exercise bike can be inconvenient to disassemble and ship: the specification page gives net weight as 76.1 lb and gross shipping weight as 88.2 lb. Before ordering, read the current terms for return freight, packaging, restocking, delivery damage, when the return window starts, and whether a failed screen or other part is replaced by shipment. Keep the packaging until you have inspected the bike and completed several rides.
Online owner discussions include complaints or questions about support, screens, defects and returns, alongside positive and promotional coverage. These accounts are anecdotal: they can flag issues worth asking about but do not establish defect rates or typical reliability. Older video reviews may also cover the differently configured G1 Max rather than the current G1M Max. Do not treat promotional demonstrations or a manufacturer-page review count as independent long-term reliability evidence (owner discussion; another discussion).
Who should buy the G1M Max?
- Consider it if low upfront cost and a built-in rotating screen are priorities, you are comfortable adjusting resistance yourself, and you have checked the exact app and mirroring setup you intend to use.
- Choose Peloton instead if you want a tightly integrated Peloton experience, native class metrics and, with the Bike+, automatic resistance.
- Compare the IC4 or another tablet-based bike if you already own a display, want to avoid screen obsolescence concerns, or need a higher stated weight capacity.
- Pause before ordering if you are near the G1M Max’s fit limits, need a guaranteed metric workflow, or have not confirmed return shipping and warranty service details.
For a buyer whose main goal is streaming classes on a large screen, the G1M Max’s value proposition is clear. For a buyer seeking a cheaper Peloton with the same tracking, automatic resistance and integrated support, the evidence does not justify that expectation.
