The Yeelight A10 Blue Sky Panel Light launched on Xiaomi Youpin in China in June 2024 with a reported introductory price of 999 yuan—about $138 at the exchange rate used by contemporaneous reports. It is a 600 × 300 mm ceiling-mounted LED panel designed to resemble a blue-sky window, but the available evidence does not show that it produces a dynamic or photographic sky effect.
For construction and renovation projects, the important qualifications are its reported 220-volt electrical specification, uncertain international availability, and unverified installation requirements. It may suit a decorative feature in a windowless room, but it should not yet be treated as a drop-in replacement for a locally certified ceiling fixture.
What the Yeelight A10 is
The A10 is a thin, rectangular ceiling light from Yeelight, launched through Xiaomi Youpin. Its approximately 2:1 form factor measures 600 × 300 × 46.2 mm—roughly 60 × 30 cm—with a reported weight of about 2.1 kg.
Yeelight presents the design as a “blue sky after rain” effect. Reports describe a rain-blue color scheme, a ring-shaped light source, and direct-emission technology intended to provide even illumination without obvious dark areas. Those are product or launch descriptions, not results from independent photometric testing.

In practical terms, the A10 appears to be a blue-tinted architectural light panel that uses its diffuser and light-source arrangement to evoke a skylight. It is not established that it projects realistic clouds, simulates moving sunlight, reproduces changing weather, or creates a photographic image of an outdoor sky.
The intended applications include offices, studios, living rooms, workspaces, corridors, basements, and other interiors where a window-like ceiling feature is desirable. Its 46.2 mm depth could make it visually less intrusive than a deeper fixture, although the reports do not verify whether it is surface-mounted, recessed, or supplied with particular mounting hardware.

The “Re95” notation should be retained rather than automatically rewritten as “CRI 95.” The available reports do not explain the measurement method or provide independent color-quality testing.
What the “Blue Sky” effect means
“Blue Sky” describes the fixture’s visual character, not a verified daylight simulation. A blue-tinted diffuser and cool-white output can make the panel look more like an overhead opening than a conventional white ceiling lamp.
The reported maximum color temperature of 6,500 K indicates a cool, daylight-like appearance. Kelvin describes the perceived color of light; it does not measure brightness. Brightness is more directly related to light output and, at a particular surface, illuminance.
The A10’s reported 1,300 lumens describe total fixture output. They do not guarantee a particular lux level at a desk or prove that the panel can illuminate an entire office. Actual results depend on ceiling height, room dimensions, diffuser efficiency, beam distribution, wall reflectance, and fixture placement.
No independent evidence in the available coverage establishes eye comfort, reduced glare, flicker performance, circadian benefits, improved productivity, mood effects, or suitability as a sole task-lighting source. A blue architectural effect may be attractive in a corridor, studio, or windowless room while still requiring separate task lighting.

Smart-home control: Mi Home, XiaoAi, and Siri
Launch coverage reported control through the Mi Home/Mijia app, Xiaomi’s XiaoAi voice assistant, and Apple Siri. That suggests the A10 was designed for Xiaomi’s Chinese smart-home ecosystem, with app-based adjustment of brightness, color temperature, and other lighting parameters reported as available.
However, “Siri support” does not by itself prove native Apple Home or HomeKit compatibility. The available coverage does not establish whether Siri works through native Home integration, Siri Shortcuts, a bridge, or another intermediary. It also does not confirm Matter support.

- Whether 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is required.
- Whether settings survive a power interruption.
- Whether basic operation continues when cloud services are unavailable.
Exact pairing steps and voice commands have not been established, so they should not be assumed from the general Siri or Xiaomi branding.
Price and current availability
The 999-yuan figure was reported as an introductory launch price on Xiaomi Youpin in June 2024. The contemporaneous dollar equivalent of approximately $138–$140 was an exchange-rate conversion, not a U.S. retail price.
An imported unit could cost substantially more after shipping, taxes, brokerage, seller markup, professional installation, warranty limitations, and possible transformer or electrical work. There is no verified current 2026 international price for the A10.
Official global availability also remains unconfirmed. The current Yeelight international catalog surfaces other products but does not establish a current A10 listing. That does not prove that no third-party imports exist; it means that a historical Chinese launch should not be treated as evidence of official distribution in the United States, Europe, or other markets.

The reported 220 V, 50/60 Hz, 0.19 A input is the most important issue for buyers in the United States and other 110–120 V regions. A simple plug adapter changes the plug shape, not the voltage. It is unsafe to assume that the fixture can be connected directly to 120 V wiring.

A transformer may not be an appropriate solution for a permanently installed ceiling fixture unless the light, transformer, enclosure, wiring method, and installation location are specifically compatible. A qualified electrician should review the product documentation, supply voltage, local electrical code, junction-box arrangement, grounding, and any required certification before installation.
The reported 2.1 kg weight is modest, but it does not prove that a particular ceiling, junction box, or mounting surface can support the fixture. The available reports do not verify:
- Mounting hardware or bracket design.
- Surface-mount versus recessed installation.
- Ceiling cutout dimensions.
- Junction-box compatibility.
- Wiring and grounding details.
- Local safety certification.
- Ingress or fire-rating information.
Those details matter in new construction and retrofit work. They should be confirmed from the manufacturer’s installation documentation before the ceiling is framed, cut, or wired around the panel.

Who should consider the A10?
The A10 may interest a buyer who specifically wants a distinctive, static skylight-like ceiling feature and already operates a Xiaomi-centered smart-home setup. It could be considered for a studio, office, basement, corridor, or living area where decorative ambience matters more than maximum task-lighting performance.
It is a poor fit when the project requires a straightforward locally supported fixture, native Apple Home or Matter integration, independently verified photometrics, local warranty service, or compatibility with 120 V wiring. The cool blue appearance may also be unsuitable for bedrooms, evening use, photography, or occupants who prefer warmer light.
What to compare before choosing an alternative
- Voltage and certification: Confirm the supply voltage and applicable local electrical and safety approvals.
- Measured illumination: Look for lumens plus lux distribution, not lumens alone.
- Color quality: Compare CRI/Ra, R9, and independent test data where available.
- Smart-home protocol: Check for native Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, Matter, Zigbee, or proprietary cloud control.
- Installation: Confirm whether the product is plug-in, hardwired, surface-mounted, or recessed.
- Visual effect: Distinguish a static blue panel from a dynamic sky system.
- Room function: Decide whether the fixture is decorative, supplemental, or intended as primary illumination.
- Support: Verify warranty, replacement parts, firmware updates, app availability, and returns.
- Operating cost: Use the 40 W rating and expected daily runtime to estimate energy use.
- Maintenance: Check diffuser access, cleaning requirements, LED serviceability, and replacement options.
Lower-risk Yeelight alternatives
These products do not recreate the A10’s ceiling skylight concept, but they may be easier to source through Yeelight’s international store:

Bottom line
The Yeelight A10 is an interesting China-market smart ceiling panel: a compact 40 W fixture with a blue-sky visual concept, reported 1,300-lumen output, and controls through Mi Home/Mijia, XiaoAi, and Siri. The 999-yuan price was a historical introductory figure, not a confirmed current international price.

For a construction or renovation project, treat it as a specialty imported feature light—not a proven natural-sky simulator or universally compatible ceiling fixture. Confirm voltage, certification, mounting, app-region behavior, Apple integration, warranty, and current stock before specifying it.
