Verdict: The Yeedi S14 Plus is an unusually ambitious robot vacuum-mop, and its self-washing roller makes it especially interesting for homes with lots of sealed hard flooring. But BGR’s March 8, 2025 hands-on review also found mapping and room-editing problems, occasional docking confusion, and cable trouble before obstacle avoidance was enabled. In 2026, Yeedi lists the S14 Plus as a clearance product, so it makes most sense at a substantial discount—not at a price close to newer models.

The “mop king” label is best understood as praise for an unusual scrubbing mechanism, not proof that the S14 Plus is the best robot vacuum overall. BGR’s review praised its suction and mopping and found obstacle avoidance improved when AI features were enabled, while also documenting navigation shortcomings. Read BGR’s hands-on review.
What the S14 Plus is—and what its station handles
Unveiled at CES 2025 and reviewed after its US launch, the Yeedi S14 Plus combines vacuuming and mopping with an all-in-one OMNI station. The station charges the robot, empties its dustbin, manages clean and dirty water, washes the roller, and dries it with hot air. BGR reported a mop-washing temperature of about 167°F and drying at about 145°F; those are reported specifications, not independent temperature measurements.
The station reduces some routine hands-on work, but it does not make the system maintenance-free. You still need to refill clean water, empty dirty water, clean the wash tray, inspect the roller, and replace consumables. The dock also takes substantial space: reported package/specification dimensions are about 13.8 × 18.8 × 21 inches, with a listed weight of 36.9 pounds. Measure the intended spot, access to an outlet, room to remove tanks, and the robot’s clearance beneath furniture before buying. Exact required clearance around the dock was not established in the available sources.

Why the roller mop stands out
The S14 Plus uses Yeedi’s OZMO Roller Instant system rather than a conventional damp cloth pad. The roller turns at a reported 200 RPM, applies roughly 4,000 Pa of downward pressure, and uses 16 water nozzles. BGR describes clean-water delivery as occurring as frequently as 200 times per minute; these figures describe the system’s design and reported claims, not a standardized comparison of stain removal.
The idea is straightforward: a roller that is rinsed during cleaning is less likely than a passive pad to keep spreading the same dirty water across the floor, while pressure and rotation offer more active scrubbing. Yeedi also describes edge-cleaning features that let the mop extend its reach. This is a meaningful design difference for kitchens and other hard-floor areas where dried spills and grime accumulate. It is not a guarantee that every stain will come up, nor does it eliminate the need for occasional manual cleaning.
For unsealed wood, waxed surfaces, delicate finishes, or other water-sensitive flooring, check Yeedi’s current manual and the flooring maker’s care instructions first. A robot’s mop settings do not establish that every surface is safe for wet cleaning.

Vacuuming: strong headline suction, incomplete evidence
Yeedi advertises 18,000 Pa of suction and lists ZeroTangle 2.0 and TruEdge-related edge-cleaning features on its S14 Plus support page. BGR described suction as impressive and reported better debris pickup than on an earlier Yeedi model with an advertised 11,800 Pa. That is a reviewer observation, not a controlled comparison.
Pa is a suction-pressure specification, not a full cleaning score. It cannot by itself tell you how effectively a robot picks up fine dust, larger debris, pet hair, or material embedded in carpet. The available coverage does not establish standardized pickup percentages, carpet scores, or noise measurements for this model. BGR’s favorable suction comments support the view that the S14 Plus can vacuum effectively, but carpet-heavy households should seek comparative carpet testing rather than buy on the 18,000 Pa figure alone.
ZeroTangle 2.0 is intended to reduce hair wrapping around the brush; it is not the same as recognizing and avoiding obstacles. It does not guarantee that cords will not be run over or that brush maintenance will never be needed. If your home has long hair or pets, treat the anti-tangle feature as a potential convenience—not a reason to stop checking the brush.

Navigation, obstacle avoidance, and the app
The S14 Plus includes AIVI 3D 3.0 and real-time obstacle-avoidance features. In BGR’s test, cable avoidance improved after AI functionality was turned on: the robot avoided thin and thick cables once enabled. Before that, it became stuck on cables beneath a bed. The reviewer also reported difficulty around a floor mirror, confused or indirect returns to the dock, and episodes of aimless movement during mapping.

That mixed experience matters because the app is not optional in practice: it is where owners handle maps, rooms, boundaries, cleaning modes, settings, schedules, obstacle recognition, maintenance alerts, firmware updates, and cleaning history. BGR found the map could make the test home look unusually large and that creating, merging, or splitting rooms could be frustrating or unavailable. A malformed map can undermine room-by-room routines and no-go zones, even if the robot can still perform a whole-home run.
Before judging navigation, check whether obstacle recognition is enabled, whether app or firmware updates are available, and whether the dock has an open route. Clear cords, socks, tassels, toys, and loose clutter before early runs. Mirrors and reflective surfaces, dark furniture, low furniture, and complicated layouts are potential challenges—not guaranteed failure points.

If the map is unusable, pause reliance on room-specific cleaning. Check for updates, make a tidier mapping run with doors open, and use whole-home cleaning or temporary boundaries while assessing whether the map stabilizes. Do not assume a remap will permanently fix a software or navigation issue. If docking fails, first ensure the station has power and a clear approach; clean sensors and charging contacts only as directed by the current manual, and manually return the robot if necessary.

The advertised battery claim is “up to 270 minutes,” but BGR noted that the actual battery capacity had not been disclosed. In one hands-on run, a mid-range mopping setting covered about 56 square meters in 93 minutes and left roughly 50% battery. Using maximum capabilities left roughly 25% after the test. Those are observations from one home and one test, not a promise of coverage per charge.
Maximum suction, mopping, obstacle detection, repeated passes, furniture, and complex room layouts all affect runtime. The robot may recharge and resume, but that convenience depends on reliable mapping and docking. Do not translate the 56-square-meter test directly into a guaranteed whole-home capacity.

Ownership costs and upkeep
Yeedi’s S14 Plus support page lists accessories, including a six-month kit at $59.99, dust bags at $19.99, a replacement roller at $29.99, and a Buddy Kit at $39.99. These are observed listed prices, not a forecast of how often every household will need replacements; check current availability and checkout pricing. A clearance bargain is less compelling if suitable parts are difficult to obtain or the total cost of consumables is higher than expected.
Plan on periodically emptying and rinsing the dirty-water tank, refilling clean water, cleaning the wash tray, and inspecting the roller and brushes. Dust bags, filters, brushes, and rollers are consumables. Self-washing reduces the amount of manual pad cleaning, but a wet-cleaning dock and roller still need attention to stay clean and avoid stale odors.
How it fits Yeedi’s 2026 lineup
Yeedi’s current US catalog positions the S14 Plus as an “Affordable Flagship” and marks it “Clearance.” It also presents the S20 Infinity Ultra as the newest flagship, the S20 Infinity as a premium option, and lists the S16 Plus, M16 Infinity, and M14 Plus. Yeedi identifies the M16 Infinity as its main seller and shows it at $599.99 against a $799.99 comparison price; the M14 Plus is shown at $499.99 against $599.99. Catalog pricing and availability can change, so treat those as observed listings, not guaranteed current offers.

The newer M14 Plus is a separate model, despite the similar name and roller-mop approach. The M16 Infinity is presented by Yeedi as a balance of power and value, while the S20 models sit higher in the range. Catalog positioning is not independent proof that a newer model maps better or cleans better. Still, if an S14 Plus costs close to a newer alternative, compare warranty terms, return policy, app and firmware support, and replacement-part stock—not just advertised suction or the roller mechanism. Clearance does not, by itself, mean the S14 Plus is discontinued or that support is ending.
Who should buy the Yeedi S14 Plus?

There is no defensible universal price cutoff because sale prices and newer-model promotions vary. A practical rule is to buy the S14 Plus only when it is clearly cheaper than comparable newer Yeedi options after consumables are considered. If the price gap is modest, the newer model may be the more sensible choice—particularly if you care more about a current product position and support runway than the S14 Plus’s distinctive mop design.
Before ordering clearance stock, confirm the seller is authorized, the return window and warranty terms, current app compatibility, firmware availability, and whether the roller and other parts are in stock. The historical $1,199 launch price and March 2025 promotional code are not current offers.
