Xiaomi launched the MIJIA All-Effect Air Purifier Ultra Enhanced Edition in China in July 2024, advertising a 10-stage purification system that can address 95 types of air pollutants. The launch price was RMB 5,799, with pre-orders scheduled to begin July 9, 2024. The “95 types” figure is Xiaomi’s claim—not evidence that the purifier removes every pollutant equally in every room. Launch coverage does not provide a complete pollutant list, test conditions or independent results.
What Xiaomi launched
The MIJIA All-Effect Air Purifier Ultra Enhanced Edition (米家全效空气净化器 Ultra 增强版) is a premium China-market purifier designed to target more than airborne particles. Xiaomi’s launch materials describe a system aimed at fine particles, formaldehyde and other gases, odors, allergens and microorganisms, with modes for allergy, pet and dust-related use.
This is a 2024 launch, not a new 2026 release. The product remains listed on Xiaomi’s Chinese store, but the retrieved official listing does not establish a current price or international availability.

Xiaomi says its 10-level composite system addresses 95 types of pollutants. Launch reports identify broad targets including PM1 and other particles, formaldehyde and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), odors such as smoke and pet smells, allergens, bacteria and viruses. They do not provide the full 95-item list, pollutant-by-pollutant removal rates, test concentrations, test duration or airflow conditions.

That distinction matters: “95 types” is a breadth-of-coverage claim, not a measure of how quickly the unit cleans a particular room or how much of a named pollutant it removes. Some counted “types” may be pollutant classes, odor sources or test targets rather than 95 distinct chemical substances. Without the test details, readers cannot independently compare the headline number with another purifier’s performance.
The 10 reported purification stages
Launch coverage describes these components. They are Xiaomi’s listed stages, not ten independently validated technologies:
- Oxygen-dissolution layer: Listed as part of the composite system; the available launch material does not explain its mechanism or quantify its contribution.
- High-precision PM1 filter layer: Intended to capture very small airborne particles. A PM1 label alone does not establish a whole-room clean-air delivery rate.
- Microporous activated carbon: Intended to adsorb odors and some gases. Performance depends on carbon quantity, airflow, contact time and how saturated the carbon has become.
- Full-width light curtain: Named in launch coverage, but its precise role and performance conditions are not detailed there.
- Formaldehyde catalytic filter element: Described as a catalytic treatment intended to break down formaldehyde rather than only trap it. The available reports do not provide data to assess sustained or long-term performance.
- Second-generation carbon array: A further carbon component for odor and gas treatment; no capacity or replacement-life figures were provided in the reviewed launch material.
- High-energy sterilization ion field: Xiaomi includes this in its claimed purification approach. No organism-specific results or room-level sterilization evidence is supplied in the launch reports.
- Antibacterial filter layer: Listed as a stage, without enough detail in the reports to identify the organisms or conditions covered.
- Anti-allergic filter layer: Also listed without a specified allergen-by-allergen test result in the material reviewed.
- PET washable filter layer: A washable component for maintenance and larger debris capture; washing it does not remove the need to replace other filters as directed.
Particle filtration and gas treatment are different jobs. A fine-particle filter can capture particles while doing little for gases; activated carbon and catalytic elements are intended to address different targets. Carbon also has finite capacity, so odor or gas performance can decline as it becomes saturated.

Formaldehyde, odors and sterilization: practical limits
A purifier should not be treated as a fix for an ongoing formaldehyde source. Renovation materials, flooring, adhesives and composite wood can continue to emit pollutants. A purifier may reduce airborne concentrations while operating, but source control and ventilation remain important. For persistent concerns, identify and address the source rather than relying on a purifier alone.
Likewise, less odor does not prove that every harmful gas has been removed. Xiaomi’s launch material also refers to UV lamp beads and sterilization technologies, but the available reports do not give organism-specific kill rates, exposure times, room-volume assumptions or safety conditions. That language should not be read as proof that the machine sterilizes an occupied room or prevents infection.
Certifications cited in launch coverage
Launch reports say Xiaomi cited Swiss SGS Deodorization certification and a medical-grade air-purifier certification. The reports reviewed do not show certificate numbers, the testing standards or the scope of either certification. Those labels should not be interpreted as clinical proof or as evidence that the purifier treats asthma, allergies, infections or another medical condition.

Smart features
Reported features include Mi Home app pairing, allergy-friendly, pet-enhancement and dust-purification modes, plus Xiaomi Smart Connection for integration with other Xiaomi smart-home devices. Language, app functions and ecosystem compatibility can vary by product region, firmware and account settings. The available launch material does not confirm that all controls work outside mainland China, so an importer should check regional support before buying.

China price, availability and replacement filters
The reported China launch price was RMB 5,799, roughly US$800 at the time of launch coverage, before shipping, taxes, import fees or any warranty limitations. Pre-orders were scheduled to start in China on July 9, 2024. The price is historical; a current 2026 price was not available in the retrieved official listing.
Xiaomi’s Chinese store lists the purifier and several replacement products, including a medium-efficiency composite filter, an all-effect composite filter and a catalytic aldehyde-decomposition filter. The listings establish that these filter products exist, but the reviewed material does not provide current prices or replacement intervals. Before purchase, confirm which filters the unit requires, what comes in the box, replacement timing, and whether filters can be shipped to your location.

The reviewed sources do not establish an official US launch, US warranty or US filter distribution. Importers should also check input voltage and plug compatibility, repair options, replacement-filter supply and whether the purifier can be controlled with their Mi Home region. These are items to verify, not confirmed restrictions.

It may suit buyers in China who want a high-end Xiaomi ecosystem purifier with stated targets spanning particles, odors and formaldehyde, or households interested in pet- and allergy-oriented modes. For buyers outside China, the purchase case depends heavily on import costs, usable app support and reliable access to the correct replacement filters.

It is a less suitable choice for someone who needs a known room-size rating, CADR, noise level or energy use before buying. The reviewed launch material does not provide verified figures for those specifications, nor for filter life, dimensions or airflow volume. Buyers chiefly seeking particle reduction may prefer to compare locally supported models with published performance data. Anyone needing proven medical or infection-control performance should not rely on the marketing claims described here.

Air purification is only one part of indoor-air management. It cannot substitute for ventilation, eliminating smoke or other pollutant sources, controlling moisture, remediating mold or obtaining medical care.
Bottom line
The MIJIA All-Effect Air Purifier Ultra Enhanced Edition is an ambitious China-market product on paper, with a 10-stage system aimed at particles, odors, formaldehyde and other targets. But “95 types” remains a Xiaomi marketing claim without the complete list and test detail needed to judge performance across those categories. The RMB 5,799 launch price, unavailable verified core performance specifications and uncertain international support make filter access and local service essential purchase checks—especially for buyers considering an import.
