Xiaomi announced the Mijia Air Conditioner Fresh Air Pro Dual Outlet in China on April 27, 2024. The floor-standing split air conditioner combines dual airflow outlets, fresh-air and filtration features, and HyperOS Connect remote control. Although some English coverage calls it a “3-ton” air conditioner, Xiaomi’s Chinese-market designation is more accurately described as 3HP or 大3匹—not automatically equivalent to a U.S. three-refrigeration-ton HVAC system.
The product is an interesting China-market appliance, but the available information does not confirm U.S. retail availability, certification, voltage compatibility, warranty coverage, or local installation support.
What Xiaomi announced
The product is also rendered as the Mijia Fresh Air Conditioner Pro Dual-Outlet Vertical 3HP. Unlike a conventional wall-mounted indoor unit, it is a tall, floor-standing air conditioner designed for larger living spaces. Its “Fresh Air” branding indicates that Xiaomi is positioning it as more than a standard recirculating cooling and heating system.
The original announcement coverage said the unit was expected to launch in May 2024, with a starting price of 8,599 yuan. A later Xiaomi product page listed the price as 8,999 yuan, so the two figures should not be treated as one confirmed current price.

How the dual-outlet design works
“Dual outlet” refers to two airflow paths integrated into the vertical indoor unit. The arrangement is intended to spread air more broadly than a single conventional outlet and to support the product’s fresh-air and comfort functions.
Xiaomi’s later description also refers to four-zone airflow, 160-degree wide-angle air delivery, dual millimeter-wave radar, and detection of up to six people. These are manufacturer-described features, not independent performance measurements. Dual outlets do not by themselves prove twice the airflow, twice the cooling speed, or independent temperature control for separate rooms.

These figures come from the April 2024 announcement report. The reported 1,930W cooling figure should not be relabeled as a conventional U.S. cooling-capacity rating without the underlying Chinese specification terminology. Likewise, a Chinese Class 1 efficiency rating is not directly interchangeable with a U.S. SEER rating.

In the U.S., an HVAC ton is a measure of cooling capacity equal to 12,000 Btu per hour. Chinese air-conditioner listings commonly use 匹 or HP-style capacity categories. This model is generally identified as 3HP or 大3匹.
Some English reports translate that designation as “3-ton,” but readers should not assume the appliance has been tested or rated as a U.S. three-ton system. For construction and HVAC planning, the correct approach is to use the manufacturer’s certified capacity data for the applicable market and have the system selected using a room-by-room load calculation.

Fresh-air, filtration, and air-quality features
Xiaomi presents the unit as a fresh-air model rather than a basic air conditioner. Its later product description mentions negative-ion purification and HEPA filtration. Those claims should be understood as Xiaomi’s product claims; the available material does not establish a fresh-air intake rate, continuous ventilation rate, whole-room CADR, filter replacement schedule, or compliance with U.S. ventilation standards.
A HEPA reference alone does not show how much outdoor air the system introduces or how effectively it cleans an entire room at operating airflow. In humid climates, bringing in outdoor air can also increase the system’s latent moisture load unless the design manages humidity appropriately.

What HyperOS adds
Xiaomi says HyperOS Connect enables smartphone-based remote operation. In practical terms, this is smart-appliance connectivity—not the same feature set as a Xiaomi phone running HyperOS.
The cited announcement does not provide a complete list of supported apps, account regions, languages, servers, or network requirements. Compatibility may depend on the Chinese Mijia ecosystem. A buyer should verify the regional app, account requirements, and offline controls before treating the product as part of an international smart-home installation.

Installation considerations for construction and renovation projects
This is still a split-system air conditioner. The floor-standing indoor cabinet avoids wall mounting, but installation remains a building-services project requiring refrigerant lines, condensate drainage, electrical work, outdoor-unit placement, and commissioning by a suitably qualified technician.

- Plan drainage: confirm the condensate route, fall, pump requirements, and access for cleaning before finishes are installed.
- Locate the outdoor unit: verify structural support, ventilation, noise, weather exposure, maintenance access, and building or landlord permissions.
- Confirm electrical requirements: imported equipment may use different voltage, frequency, protection, plugs, and wiring requirements from the local building system.
- Check refrigerant and compliance data: confirm the refrigerant type, allowable line lengths, pressure requirements, safety documentation, and applicable certification.
- Allow for servicing: imported parts, filters, control boards, and authorized technicians may not be readily available.
Availability outside China
The supported evidence establishes a China announcement and China-market pricing, not a U.S. launch. No verified U.S. retail sale, U.S. warranty coverage, U.S. certification, or authorized U.S. installation network is established in the supplied material.
That does not prove the unit can never be imported privately. It does mean that a U.S. buyer should not treat the 8,599-yuan announcement price or 8,999-yuan Xiaomi listing as a delivered, installed U.S. price. Import costs, freight, taxes, electrical conversion, code compliance, commissioning, repairs, and replacement parts could materially change the economics.
Who may find it appealing
- Homeowners planning a large living-room installation who prefer a floor-standing format.
- Xiaomi users already invested in the China-region Mijia smart-home ecosystem.
- Buyers interested in broader air distribution and manufacturer-described fresh-air or filtration functions.
- Renovation projects where wall mounting is undesirable but outdoor-unit and refrigerant routing can be planned properly.
Who should be cautious
- U.S. buyers who require local warranty service, code documentation, and readily available replacement parts.
- Renters or apartment owners without permission for outdoor-unit placement and refrigerant-line work.
- People fitting out small bedrooms, where a large 3HP-class unit may be excessive or uncomfortable.
- Buyers seeking independently verified ventilation, purification, or whole-room air-cleaning performance.
- Anyone assuming that “3-ton” means a certified U.S. three-ton HVAC capacity.
Bottom line
Xiaomi’s Mijia Fresh Air Pro Dual Outlet is a distinctive 2024 China-market floor-standing air conditioner. Its main differentiators are the vertical cabinet, two airflow outlets, Xiaomi-described zone and sensing features, fresh-air positioning, and HyperOS Connect control.
For a China-region installation with confirmed technical support, it may be an appealing premium appliance. For U.S. construction or renovation work, however, its suitability remains unproven until voltage, certification, capacity data, app support, warranty, parts, and qualified installation are all verified. It should not be specified as a direct substitute for a locally approved three-ton HVAC system based on the translated name alone.
