Xiaomi introduced its Mijia Smart Bathroom Heater N1 + Temperature-Controlled Shower N1 Set in China on July 30, 2024. The bundle pairs a ceiling-mounted bathroom air heater with a separate temperature-controlled shower system; it is not a water heater. Launch coverage reported a price of 1,099 yuan, with installation listed separately at 65 yuan. Those are historical China-market figures, not verified current pricing, and no official US or broader global launch is confirmed by the available sources.
What Xiaomi launched
The set combines two bathroom fixtures: a Mijia ceiling-mounted bathroom heater, a product type commonly called a yuba in China, and a Mijia shower system with its own temperature control. The heater warms bathroom air; it does not heat the water for the shower. The shower still depends on a compatible household hot-water supply.
Launch coverage said the set was listed through JD.com. Xiaomi’s China store has a page for the similarly named N1 bundle, but that page’s existence does not establish current stock, price, international shipping, or service availability. GizmoChina’s launch report and Xiaomi’s China store listing identify the product.

Heater claims—and an important model-number caveat
Launch coverage associated the heater with a 2,800W PTC ceramic heating module, a 3-inch LCD, smart constant-temperature operation, and an IPX4 water-resistance rating. It also repeated a claim that the unit can raise room temperature by 10°C in one minute. Treat that temperature-rise figure as a manufacturer or product-listing claim, not an independently verified result: the available reporting does not specify the test room, starting temperature, measurement point, or other conditions needed to reproduce it.

There is also uncertainty about which heater model those specifications describe. The Chinese outlet IT之家 cautioned that the 2,800W details may belong to the Mijia Smart Bathroom Heater Pro rather than the standard heater bundled with the N1 shower. Accordingly, buyers should verify the exact heater model and its nameplate or manual before relying on the wattage, display, or IPX4 details as definitive specifications for an N1 bundle. What the heating figures mean in a real bathroom
PTC elements are ceramic heating components used to produce warm air. A stated 2,800W describes electrical input, not a guaranteed room-heating result. The time needed to make a bathroom feel warmer depends on its floor area and ceiling height, insulation, starting temperature, air leakage, door position, and whether ventilation is exhausting warmed air. A manufacturer’s one-minute temperature-rise claim should not be treated as a promise that every bathroom will warm by 10°C in 60 seconds.
“Smart constant-temperature” indicates an intended mode for maintaining a selected bathroom temperature rather than simply running at one fixed output. The reported material does not establish the temperature range, sensor accuracy, control algorithm, app controls, wireless protocol, or energy savings. Do not assume a particular Mi Home menu, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection, or voice-assistant support for this bundle without model-specific documentation.

IPX4 means water resistance against splashing, not waterproofing. It does not by itself authorize directing a shower stream at the heater or submerging it; follow the exact model’s installation and use instructions.
How the shower controls and spray options are described
The shower is reported to offer independent, stepless temperature adjustment. “Stepless” means the user can adjust the setting continuously rather than choose only from a few preset positions. Coverage also describes a ceramic valve core and dedicated temperature-control knob. This is not a guarantee of constant outlet temperature under every condition: supply temperature, water pressure, the home’s hot-water system, plumbing, and installation can all affect performance.
IT之家 describes a three-function, piano-key-style control panel, a hidden lower water outlet, an integrated spray gun, a honeycomb aerator, and a 367mm anti-scald storage shelf or platform. Reported spray options include a rain shower, a cleaning or spray-gun mode, and a pressurized rain mode; translated names vary between reports.

Launch coverage also mentions more than 162 silicone water outlets intended to be easy to clean. The reporting does not clearly establish which shower component that count applies to, so it should not be read as a verified count for every head or outlet in the system.
What the antibacterial statement does—and does not—say
The shower body is described as “Antibacterial 59 brass,” with a claimed 99.9% antibacterial rate. This is a product claim about material or testing, not evidence that the whole shower, its water, or the bathroom is sterilized. It should not replace normal cleaning or be treated as a disinfection claim.
Compatibility and installation checks for a remodel
Coverage says the shower can work with storage, gas, and solar water heaters. That broad compatibility statement does not make every installation plug-and-play. Before specifying or importing the set, confirm the exact product documentation and check the following with qualified tradespeople:

- Electrical supply: Verify the nameplate voltage, frequency, current, grounding, circuit capacity, and required bathroom protections against local electrical rules. Do not infer a safe circuit from a wattage claim alone.
- Illustrative electrical comparison: If a 2,800W heater were operated at 220V, the simple current calculation is about 12.7A; at 120V it is about 23.3A. These are arithmetic examples, not confirmed operating specifications or installation recommendations. Actual requirements depend on the exact unit and local code, including any required circuit margin.
- Plumbing and water pressure: Check connection standards, hot- and cold-water supply, pressure range, water-heater capacity, and whether simultaneous use of other fixtures can affect flow or temperature.
- Local approvals and support: Confirm applicable electrical and plumbing codes, product certification, warranty territory, replacement-part availability, language, and any app-region restrictions before purchase.
An imported appliance can be technically connectable yet unsuitable for a particular bathroom or jurisdiction. For electrical work, ceiling alterations, and plumbing, use qualified local professionals and the product’s actual installation manual; do not treat a marketplace listing as a substitute for either.

Who should consider the set?
China-market remodels
For a buyer in China planning a compatible bathroom installation, the bundle’s appeal is its combination of room heating and shower controls in a coordinated package. Compare the exact heater model, documented room coverage and electrical requirements, shower valve specifications, installation scope, warranty, and total installed cost before choosing it.
US and other international buyers
Without confirmed local availability, voltage and code compatibility, warranty coverage, and replacement parts, this is a difficult product to recommend as an import. A 2,800W appliance designed for one electrical market cannot be assumed suitable for another, and a Chinese product page does not establish local certification or installation support. Chinese-language controls and app-region limitations may also matter.
When a locally supported system is the more practical choice
For a remodel where code compliance, serviceability, or scald protection is the priority, compare locally sold ceiling heater/light/ventilation units and separately supported thermostatic shower systems. A locally supported heater may be easier to install and service; a standalone thermostatic shower may better fit plumbing requirements. Separate components offer flexibility and repair options, though they require coordinating vendors and may cost more. Compare heating coverage, ventilation and noise, shower valve and scald protection, dimensions, pressure requirements, spare parts, warranty, and total installed cost—not headline wattage or feature count alone.
