On most Samsung ranges, the identification label is in one of two places: at the top-left of the oven frame behind the open door, or on the left side of the frame behind the bottom storage or warming drawer. Check both. The label lists the serial number separately from the model or model code; use the field the Samsung form actually requests.
Check these two locations
Samsung’s U.S. guidance points range owners to two label locations. Placement can vary by model, so inspect both before looking elsewhere.
1. Open the oven door
With the range cool, open the oven door fully and look at the top-left portion of the oven frame. The label may be partly obscured by the door or trim. A flashlight or phone camera can help you see the small print. Samsung’s range support guidance identifies this as one of the places to check.

If you do not see the label by the oven door, close it and carefully pull out the bottom storage or warming drawer as far as it is designed to go. Look at the left side of the frame behind the drawer. Do not force a drawer that catches or remove it unless the model’s instructions say how to do so safely.

These checks apply to Samsung ranges broadly; the label’s precise position and orientation can vary. Gas, electric, slide-in, freestanding, and dual-fuel models should not be assumed to have identical label layouts.
Identify the serial number, not the model code
The manufacturer label is typically a plate or sticker with product identification and electrical or manufacturing information. Look for a line marked Serial Number, S/N, or Serial No. Record that entry as the serial number.

- Model or model code: Identifies the product design or configuration. Samsung uses it to find model-specific manuals and support.
- Serial number: Identifies the individual appliance. It may be requested for registration, warranty or repair workflows, and some safety checks.
Model codes may begin with combinations such as NX, NE, or NS, but do not use that as your test: read the label next to the field name. Do not substitute the model code for the serial number unless the form specifically asks for the model code.

- Turn the range off and let hot surfaces cool. You do not need to unplug it just to read an accessible label.
- Stand in front of the range and open the oven door fully.
- Inspect the upper-left area of the oven frame.
- If the label is not there or is hard to read, close the oven door and carefully pull out the bottom drawer as designed.
- Check the left side of the frame behind the drawer; use a flashlight or phone camera if needed.
- Photograph the entire label, then transcribe the model/model code and serial number into separate fields.
- Compare your entry with the photograph before submitting it. Copy every letter and digit in order, including leading zeroes; do not add spaces or hyphens unless the form shows them.
- Save the photo with your receipt, warranty documents, and appliance records so you do not have to repeat the search.
Use the label on the appliance itself when possible. A shipping-box label or a retailer listing is not a dependable substitute for the appliance’s own serial number.

What the number helps you do
Samsung’s U.S. range support hub provides paths to manuals, warranty information, product registration, and repair services. A model code is often useful for finding the right manual or support page; a serial number may be needed to identify the particular unit for registration, service, parts questions, or a safety-remedy check. Keep both numbers available, and enter the one requested by the specific form.
A serial number alone does not establish warranty eligibility. Coverage and remedies depend on factors such as the product, country, purchase date, and applicable terms. If you are checking a recall or safety remedy, use Samsung’s official, model-specific checker rather than assuming that a general support form applies.

If the label is difficult to read or missing
For a dirty label, gently wipe its surface without abrasive cleaners. Take close-up photos, try the camera flash from an angle to reduce glare, and photograph it in more than one orientation. Enlarge the image and compare uncertain characters carefully—especially 0/O, 1/I, 5/S, 8/B, and 2/Z. Check the second label location before concluding that the information is unavailable.

Samsung’s U.S. range-knob support page lists 1-833-775-0120 for help when the label’s serial number cannot be read, and also offers online support options. Contact details can change, and that number is associated with the cited U.S. support matter, so confirm the current route through Samsung Support.

If the label appears to be missing, do not remove the rear panel, control panel, or internal covers just to search for it. Check both official locations and any appliance paperwork. If the range was registered, sign in to the Samsung account used for registration and see whether the product details are available; this may help, but is not guaranteed. Otherwise, contact Samsung or an authorized service channel with the model information, purchase details, address, and photos of the appliance. Do not force a drawer or disconnect appliance components to access a label.
Why an online form may ask for a different number of digits
Do not assume all Samsung range serial numbers have the same length. Samsung’s U.S. slide-in electric-range remedy checker has specified a 15-digit serial number, while a Samsung registration interface has shown an 11-digit entry requirement. Those are requirements of particular forms, not a universal serial-number rule for every model or region. If a number is rejected, confirm that the field asks for the serial number rather than model code, recheck ambiguous characters, remove unintended spaces, and use the support page for your exact model.
The instructions and support routes here are based on Samsung U.S. pages. Labels, forms, warranty rules, and contact options may differ in other countries. For wall ovens, consult the support information for the wall-oven model; it is a different product category and may have a different label location.
