The AliExpress deal behind this title dates to January 13, 2020—not 2026. It listed the Anet ET4 for €152.50 and the larger Creality CR-10S Pro for €426.10. Those are historical prices, not current offers, and neither original AliExpress listing could be verified as live. The comparison remains useful as a snapshot of two different kinds of filament printer: a lower-cost compact machine and a large-format model.
The two printers at a glance
Gizchina’s January 13, 2020 deal article described both machines as FDM/FFF printers, which build objects by depositing melted thermoplastic filament layer by layer. Its listed prices and headline specifications were:

What the Anet ET4 offered
Features and intended use
The 2020 article described the ET4 as a metal-framed printer with an aluminum heated bed topped by tempered glass. It listed automatic bed leveling, a 2.8-inch touchscreen, filament detection, print-resume functionality and modular assembly. Its 220 × 220 × 250 mm build volume suits many household parts, toys, prototypes and smaller hobby models.

At the listed price, it was the budget-oriented option for someone with limited space who was willing to learn setup and routine tuning. The cited deal article did not report hands-on assembly timing, print samples, feature reliability or measured print quality; its feature descriptions should be read as listing claims, not test results.
What to check before buying an older ET4
Current availability of replacement parts, firmware and seller support is not established by the 2020 article. For any surviving listing, check the exact hardware revision, included accessories, plug and voltage, return route, and whether consumables and replacement components are actually available. “Automatic leveling” can help compensate for bed irregularities, but it does not by itself set the correct nozzle-to-bed offset or fix a dirty or misaligned printer.

What the Creality CR-10S Pro offered
More space for ambitious prints
The CR-10S Pro’s quoted 300 × 300 × 400 mm volume made it the large-format choice in this pair. It could accommodate larger functional parts, tall models or cosplay components that would need to be divided into sections on the ET4. The article also cited automatic matrix leveling and filament detection.

The deal article listed a 480 W power supply and claimed the bed could reach 110°C in five minutes. Treat that heating time as a promotional or listing claim, not an independently verified measurement: it depends on starting and room temperatures, bed construction and insulation, electrical configuration, and what counts as reaching a stable temperature across the bed.

A larger build area is extra capacity, not a guarantee of better prints. It also means a larger machine to place and maintain, more bed area to prepare, and potentially more demanding first-layer calibration. Large prints can take more filament and time, and may be more vulnerable to warping. The original deal article did not provide external dimensions, measured performance or print-quality comparisons.
Which printer made more sense?
- Lower initial cost, smaller workspace or modest-sized prints: the ET4 was the logical fit at the 2020 prices.
- Large props, tall models or bigger functional parts: the CR-10S Pro offered substantially more build volume.
- Print quality: the deal article does not establish a winner. It compares headline specifications and prices, not controlled print results.
- Dependable support or an easy modern first-printer experience: do not assume either older model is the right choice; confirm current parts, firmware, warranty handling and seller support before paying.
Both are filament printers rather than resin printers. PLA is a sensible starting material for many beginners, but other filaments can require different temperatures, surfaces, cooling, ventilation or printer configurations. The source does not establish the exact material limits for every revision of either machine, so verify the manual and hardware specifications for the particular unit rather than relying on broad compatibility claims.

What an “EU warehouse” does—and does not—tell you
The 2020 article said EU-warehouse fulfilment would avoid additional customs fees and import taxes for European customers. That is the article’s claim about that offer, not a universal rule or a guarantee for a current transaction. Warehouse location, seller location, warranty jurisdiction and the buyer’s platform protections are separate matters. A warehouse in the EU does not, on its own, establish that a seller offers local repairs, a local return address, the correct VAT treatment or genuine current stock.
Before ordering, inspect the live checkout and listing for the destination country. Confirm the VAT shown, dispatch location, delivery estimate, return address, warranty process, exact printer revision, included accessories and country-appropriate power cord. Do not treat “ships from Europe” as proof of local after-sales support.

Are the original listings still available?
The two AliExpress item pages linked by the deal article could not be verified as live. They are historical references, not confirmed offers: former Anet ET4 listing and former Creality CR-10S Pro listing. Their old prices should not be used as a current benchmark.
What to consider if you are buying now
Creality’s current site features newer product families, including the Ender-3 V3 KE, Ender-3 V4, Ender-5 Max and K-series machines. That is a reason to compare current options—not proof that any one model is a direct replacement for either 2020 printer. The official Creality site is the place to check its present lineup.
Compact, more automated option
The official Ender-3 V3 KE page lists automatic calibration, an advertised maximum speed of 500 mm/s and a 300°C printing capability. It displayed $279 on the U.S. English page in the cited reference; that is not an EU price and is not comparable to an AliExpress checkout price. This compact model is not a like-for-like substitute if you need the CR-10S Pro’s quoted 300 × 300 × 400 mm volume.

Creality’s Ender-3 V4 product page describes automatic calibration functions and a quick-swap nozzle design; it also claims quiet mode up to 47 dB. A reliable price was not stated in the cited page information. For buyers prioritizing more build space, see the Ender-5 Max product page; confirm its current specifications, price and availability for your country before comparing it with the old CR-10S Pro.
Checklist for any current printer listing
- Identify the exact model revision and confirm the listing is for a printer, not an accessory or a bundle with different contents.
- Check the seller’s history, the actual dispatch location, delivery estimate and return destination.
- Confirm VAT and other charges in the destination-specific checkout, rather than inferring them from a warehouse label.
- Read the warranty terms and find out who handles repairs and return shipping.
- Verify the plug, mains voltage, build volume, bed and nozzle temperature limits, and included build surface.
- Check the leveling method, filament runout and power-loss recovery features against the manual; these features do not guarantee a successful print or recovery.
- Look for replacement nozzles, thermistors, belts, control boards and build surfaces, plus firmware and slicer profiles for the exact revision.
- Budget beyond the printer for filament, spare parts, cleaning supplies, measuring tools, electricity and time spent tuning. A filament dryer or upgrades may also be needed, depending on materials and the machine.
For safety, follow the manufacturer’s instructions, use the printer on a stable surface with appropriate ventilation, and do not assume that a feature list establishes electrical certification or makes unattended operation safe.
