What was the Presidents’ Day deal?
Nextpit reported on February 14, 2026, at 11 p.m. that the Roborock QV 35A was available on Amazon for $399, compared with a stated regular price of $649. The report described the discount as $250 and said both black and white models were included. Against Roborock’s $649.99 listed price in some page states, $399 is $250.99 less, or about 38.6% off. The report establishes the price at publication, not the offer’s full terms. It does not establish whether Prime membership, a coupon, a particular seller, or color-specific pricing affected checkout. The Presidents’ Day 2026 promotion is historical; the available price states do not verify that $399 remains available in August.

What the QV 35A offers
The QV 35A is a robot vacuum and mop paired with a multifunction dock. Roborock lists 8,000Pa suction, PreciSense LiDAR navigation, Reactive Tech obstacle avoidance, dual rotating mop pads, automatic mop lifting, and an all-rubber main brush with an arc-shaped anti-tangle side brush. The robot connects to the Roborock app for mapping and cleaning controls. The product supports Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri Shortcuts, and uses 2.4GHz Wi-Fi; 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported. A dual-band router may work if a compatible 2.4GHz network is available, but setup can vary with mesh and band-steering configurations.
Vacuuming and pet hair
Roborock’s 8,000Pa figure is an advertised suction rating, not a standardized measure of how much debris the robot will remove in a particular home. Results depend on floor type, carpet pile, debris, cleaning mode, passes, brush condition, and filter maintenance. The rubber brush and anti-tangle design may appeal to pet owners, but the available information does not establish controlled pet-hair performance or prove that hair tangles are eliminated.

Mopping and rugs
The two mop modules rotate at up to 200 revolutions per minute, according to Roborock, and the app offers water-flow adjustment. The robot is designed to lift its mop pads on carpet. That specification does not guarantee that every rug will stay dry, nor does it prove that the pads will remove every dried stain. For sensitive, thick, shaggy, or high-pile rugs, check clearance and settings, use vacuum-only or no-mop zones where appropriate, and supervise an initial run. Treat robot mopping as routine upkeep rather than a replacement for occasional deep cleaning. Use only cleaning liquids approved for the machine.

The dock is the main convenience feature: it is designed to empty the robot’s dustbin, refill its water tank, wash the mop pads, and dry them with cold air. That can reduce hands-on work between runs, but it does not make the system maintenance-free.

Tasks that remain
- Empty the dirty-water tank and refill the clean-water tank.
- Replace dust bags and obtain compatible cleaning supplies as needed.
- Clean the dock’s wash tray and inspect the mop pads.
- Clean filters and brushes, and remove hair or debris from brush ends, wheels, and the dock intake.
- Keep sensors clear and the dock’s return path unobstructed.
Roborock lists cold-air drying; it should not be mistaken for hot-air drying. The product information cited here does not establish a maintenance schedule or replacement intervals.

LiDAR mapping is intended to let the robot map rooms and follow planned routes. App features include map-based cleaning routines and no-go zones; deal coverage also describes multi-floor mapping or scheduling. Reactive Tech is Roborock’s obstacle-avoidance label, but the available sources do not establish how reliably the robot recognizes cables, socks, toys, pet accidents, or other small objects in real homes. Pick up loose clutter and supervise early runs rather than relying on object recognition to protect the robot.

Roborock lists robot dimensions of 13.78 × 13.9 × 3.80 inches, a 5,200mAh lithium-ion battery, and an approximate robot weight of 25.57 pounds. Measure the clearance under beds, sofas, and cabinets rather than assuming the robot will fit based on its nominal height. The dock also needs suitable floor space and a clear route back to its base. If setup or cleaning goes wrong
- Wi-Fi setup fails: Confirm a 2.4GHz network is available, recheck the password and app permissions, and try setup near the router. If a combined network prevents connection, try a dedicated 2.4GHz network.
- The robot misses rooms: Check whether doors were closed during mapping and whether a no-go zone or invisible wall blocks access. Clean sensor surfaces; rebuild the map only if it is clearly corrupted.
- Mop pads stay wet or smell: Inspect the wash tray and dirty-water tank, check that the dock has airflow, and clean or replace pads as needed.
- Hair still tangles: Inspect brush ends, the side brush, wheel axles, and dock intake; anti-tangle features reduce rather than eliminate upkeep.
- A rug gets damp or the robot cannot reach a room: Review carpet and mop-lift settings, use no-mop zones for sensitive rugs, and check thresholds, furniture clearance, and the dock’s return path.

- Open the live retailer listing and confirm the final price; the February $399 promotion is not verified as current.
- Confirm the listing is for a new Roborock QV 35A, not a renewed unit or a similarly named Qrevo model. Check the seller, delivery date, included dock and accessories, and whether the selected color changes the price.
