Roborock launched its M1 Pure Smart Mini Washing and Drying Machine in China in May 2024. The compact appliance washes up to 1 kg but dries only about 0.5 kg, so it is intended for small, separate loads—not as a replacement for a household washer-dryer. Its China pre-sale price was ¥1,999 with a ¥100 deposit; that was a historical promotion, not a current US price or confirmation of US availability.
A genuine China launch—not just a teaser
Roborock announced the M1 Pure in May 2024 and opened a China-market pre-sale. Contemporary reports listed an introductory price of ¥1,999, requiring a ¥100 deposit, with the promotion ending around May 31, 2024. The reported price after the pre-sale was ¥3,599. These figures describe the original mainland-China offer; they should not be treated as current pricing or converted into a present-day US retail price. Gizmochina’s launch report and Notebookcheck’s coverage reported the pre-sale.
The M1 Pure followed Roborock’s earlier M1 mini washer, but naming across regions can be confusing. Roborock’s Taiwan materials say the product may be called Zeo Mini SE in some regions, while its global site presents a Zeo Mini. Related branding does not establish that every regional model is identical. Check the exact model number and local product documentation before buying.
What the M1 Pure is designed to do
This is an integrated, compact washer-dryer for frequent small batches: underwear, socks, lingerie, baby clothes, or sportswear. Roborock’s regional product page lists a 1 kg washing capacity and a 0.5 kg drying capacity. That difference is central to how the machine works in practice: a load that fits for washing may be too large to dry in one go. You may need to remove some items before drying, or run a wash-only cycle and air-dry the garments separately.

Roborock gives illustrative load examples of about 15 bras, 25 pairs of underwear, or 80 pairs of socks. These are marketing examples, not universal limits: garment size, material, water retained after washing, and the drying capacity all affect what fits. The machine is not suited to ordinary bulk laundry such as towels, jeans, bedding, or a family’s mixed weekly load.

The Taiwan page describes app control, automatic detergent dispensing, load detection, scheduling, adjustable dosing, child lock, power-loss memory, and touch controls. Launch coverage also reported that the machine begins automatic airing if clothes remain inside for roughly 30 minutes. Treat that as a feature claim, not a substitute for removing laundry promptly.

Drying, hygiene and care claims
Roborock markets its Fresh Gale 3D drying system as a gentler approach using airflow channels, a circulation fan, temperature sensing, and software control. The intended benefit is careful drying of small or delicate garments. This is a manufacturer claim, not a guarantee that every fabric will avoid shrinkage or damage. Follow garment care labels; silk, wool, elastane, adhesive bras, waterproof membranes, and heat-sensitive trims may still need air drying.
Roborock’s Taiwan materials also advertise high-temperature and UVC-related hygiene functions, with claims including 99.99% bacteria removal, 99% allergen removal, and 100% dust-mite removal. Those percentages should be read as company claims, not universal results for every cycle, fabric, stain, or household condition. The available product information does not establish all test conditions. Consult the exact model’s manual and supporting documentation if these claims matter to your purchase.

Is it available outside China?
The May 2024 announcement was China-focused, and launch coverage did not confirm a US launch. Roborock later published regional information for M1 Pure and related Zeo Mini naming, including an official Taiwan M1 Pure page and a global Zeo Mini page. Those pages show related regional product materials; they do not, by themselves, prove US retail availability, US certification, or US warranty coverage. Check Roborock’s store for your country and verify the precise model before ordering.
Before importing one: a practical checklist
- Electrical rating: Confirm voltage, frequency, plug type, grounding, and local certification for the exact unit. A plug adapter changes plug shape; it does not convert voltage. Do not assume a China-market appliance is safe to connect to a US outlet.
- Water and drainage: Confirm inlet and drain requirements, hose connections, and whether your intended installation location has suitable plumbing. The available launch information does not establish the installation requirements for every regional version.
- Space and clearances: Check the product’s dimensions against the planned location and consult the model manual for ventilation, clearance, and placement requirements. Do not assume a countertop, bathroom, or bedroom installation is suitable without that guidance.
- App and language: Confirm that the unit can be added to the Roborock app in your region and that its controls, support materials, and account setup are usable in your preferred language. Regional account or server restrictions are possible but should be verified for the exact model.
- Warranty, service and returns: Ask whether the warranty applies in your country, who handles repairs, what return shipping costs, and whether replacement parts and detergent components are available locally.
- Real capacity: Decide whether a 0.5 kg drying limit meets your routine. If you expect to wash a full 1 kg and dry it all at once, this is the wrong capacity class.
- Detergent: Check the manual for compatible liquid detergent and dosing guidance. Automatic dispensing does not mean every concentrated or nonstandard detergent will work well.
Who is it for?
The M1 Pure makes most sense for someone who regularly wants to wash a small, separate batch—such as underwear, baby garments, or sportswear—and has the right space and connections. Its compact footprint and automation may be useful in a small home, but the 1 kg wash capacity means ordinary laundry can require repeated cycles. It is a specialist garment-care appliance, not a high-throughput machine.

It is a poor fit for families, anyone who needs to dry more than 0.5 kg at a time, or buyers who want a single appliance for towels, bedding, and everyday mixed loads. A full-size washer-dryer is more practical for those needs. For occasional large loads, laundromat access may be simpler than importing and installing a compact machine.

Treat launch pricing as historical, and do not assume a related Zeo Mini listing means the M1 Pure is available or supported in your country.
