The Sitpack Octo Max is a titanium-bodied, carabiner-shaped everyday-carry multitool with a folding knife, small drivers, bicycle-oriented wrenches and other light-duty features. Sitpack currently lists it for $89, although its product page also shows a conflicting availability notice. Its many functions may suit someone who wants a compact backup tool clipped to a bag; they do not make it a full-size repair kit or climbing equipment. Do not use it for climbing or other life-safety applications.
What the Octo Max is—and isn’t
Made by Danish outdoor and everyday-carry brand Sitpack, the Octo Max is a larger successor to the company’s earlier Octo carabiner multitool. The Max uses a titanium body and adds features including a replaceable knife blade and broader bit-driver compatibility. It is best understood as a small collection of convenience tools built into an attachment-friendly frame—not as a conventional multitool with full-size handles.
The carabiner shape is for attaching the tool to a bag, loop or other gear. It is not certified climbing hardware. Sitpack’s current product page says 120 kg, while launch coverage reported a figure of up to 1,000 lb (454 kg). Those claims conflict, and neither should be treated as a climbing rating or as evidence that the tool is suitable for supporting a person. Do not use it for climbing, belaying, lifting people or overhead loads.

Sitpack launched the Octo Max through Kickstarter in 2024. The campaign ran from March 14 to April 20 and raised $150,790 from 1,756 backers against a $5,000 goal, according to the campaign record. It has since appeared on Sitpack’s retail product page, so it is no longer just a crowdfunding proposal. The page’s price listing and contradictory availability widget mean buyers should confirm inventory and the exact configuration before ordering.

What does “20-in-1” include?
Sitpack describes the Octo Max as having 20-plus features. The total is a feature count, not 20 equally capable standalone tools: it includes functional tools as well as parts of the body and carry system. Here is what the listed features are for—and where their limits matter.

The count depends on what is counted separately. Alongside conventional functions, the tally includes structural or carry elements such as the body, gate, lock and keyhole, plus individual wrench sizes and glow plates. That makes “20-plus features” a marketing count—not a standardized measure of tool capability.
Size, materials and specification caveats
Sitpack lists the Octo Max at 106 g with the pocket clip. The titanium body offers a corrosion-resistant, relatively light frame, but titanium does not automatically make every tool surface perform better, and it cannot compensate for the limited leverage of a compact design. The blade is a separate material: launch coverage describes it as high-carbon stainless steel.

The dimensions on Sitpack’s current page are shown as 2.63 × 2.63 × 12 in (67 × 67 × 305 mm). The 12-inch figure appears inconsistent with the pictured carabiner-shaped product. Treat the dimensions as unconfirmed until Sitpack provides a reliable specification. The load information is similarly inconsistent: launch coverage reports up to 1,000 lb (454 kg), while the current product page gives 120 kg. Neither figure should be used to infer safe performance under shock or dynamic loads.
Where it could be useful
Everyday carry
The Octo Max’s strongest case is as a compact, distinctive backup for light tasks: opening a package, tightening a small fastener, opening a bottle or carrying keys or a light accessory. Its attachment format may suit someone who would rather clip a tool to a bag than carry a conventional pocket multitool. Whether that convenience justifies the price depends on how often you will use the specialized features.
Cycling
The spoke wrenches and three hex sizes give it some bicycle relevance, but it is not a dependable all-in-one ride-repair kit. A cyclist may still need additional hex sizes, a Torx driver, tire levers, a chain tool, a quick-link tool, a patch kit or a pump—and better leverage for stubborn fasteners. Think of the Octo Max as a backup for limited adjustments, not the only repair tool to bring on a ride.

Camping and household fixes
For light camp chores, gear adjustments and small household jobs, its drivers, blade and opener may come in handy. The small knife is not a substitute for a dedicated outdoor blade, and the miniature pry and screwdriver features are not designed for forceful work. If a task needs substantial leverage, a full-size tool is the safer and more effective choice.

Emergency use
Sitpack lists a tungsten glass breaker, and launch coverage describes an optional seatbelt cutter. These are emergency-oriented features, not a guarantee of rescue performance. Glass type, access, technique and the user’s safety all matter. Confirm whether the cutter is included in the version you buy, and do not rely on the tool as certified rescue equipment.
What it cannot replace
The feature list does not include pliers, scissors or a saw, and the available listing does not describe a broad assortment of included driver bits. The knife and drivers are small, and several features are specialized or overlap with the tool’s carry hardware. Buyers who want maximum utility per dollar, serious bicycle-repair capability or substantial household-tool performance may be better served by a conventional multitool or dedicated tools.

Titanium helps explain the premium positioning, but it does not make the Octo Max a better choice for every user. You are paying for a particular combination of material, carabiner-style carry and many light-duty functions. The trade-off is less tool depth than a larger multitool can offer.

Launch coverage reported a Kickstarter pledge price of US$59 and a planned retail price of US$119. Sitpack’s product page currently lists the Octo Max at US$89. Prices and promotions can change; the page has also displayed a “Buy 1, Get 2nd @ 40% OFF” offer with code BOGO40, which may not remain available.

For: design-minded EDC buyers who want a titanium-bodied tool for light tasks and appreciate its attachment format. Maybe: casual cyclists or campers who want a small backup, not their primary repair or outdoor tool. Not for: climbers, rescue use, serious bike repairs, or anyone seeking a full-featured multitool at the lowest cost.
Knife and carry rules
Before carrying the folding blade, check the laws and rules that apply where you live and where you plan to go. Restrictions can depend on blade length, whether the blade locks, concealed carry and location.
