The Ninja CREAMi Scoop & Swirl (model NC701), also called Ninja Swirl by CREAMi, makes both scooped frozen desserts and dispensed soft serve. SharkNinja’s live product page lists it at $279.99, reduced from $349.99, but displays a back-in-stock notification prompt, so check the listing for current availability before ordering: Ninja’s NC701 product page.
What the Ninja CREAMi Scoop & Swirl does
The NC701 is a countertop frozen-dessert machine with two ways to serve a finished base: scoop it, or use the dispense lid and handle to make a soft-serve swirl. SharkNinja’s official comparison page identifies the NC701BL as its dual-mode design: Ninja CREAMi comparison.
It has 13 automatic programs, including six for soft serve. The other functions cover classic and lite ice cream, sorbet, gelato, milkshake, mix-ins, frozen yogurt, fruit whip, frozen custard and CreamiFit. The package includes two 16-ounce pints; Ninja rates each at about four servings.

- Prepare a base using a recipe suitable for the machine and freeze it in a pint for 24 hours, as Ninja directs.
- Process the frozen pint with the Creamerizer paddle using the appropriate program.
- Attach the dispense lid, then pull the soft-serve handle to dispense a swirl.
Ninja describes soft serve as lighter and fluffier than scooped ice cream because it is served warmer and has more air whipped into it. The result depends on the base and preparation; the available manufacturer material does not establish independent performance testing.

How much does it cost, and is it in stock?
SharkNinja’s live NC701 page currently displays $279.99, reduced from $349.99, and offers a back-in-stock notification prompt. Because the page signals that availability may be limited, verify the listing before buying. A separate January 2026 SharkNinja release documented a $299 promotion running January 18–31, 2026; that offer has ended: SharkNinja’s January 2026 release.

The trade-off is straightforward: choose the NC701 if dispensing soft serve is the feature you want; the NC601 is the larger-container option if you prioritize more volume per tub. The NC701 takes up a meaningful amount of counter space and weighs 22.2 pounds, so plan for a stable place to use and store it.

Why Ninja added a soft-serve model
In its January 2026 launch release, SharkNinja said it developed the Ninja Swirl by CREAMi around user-discovered ideas for the original CREAMi. Kaitlyn Hebert, Senior Vice President, Ninja Marketing, said the new model brings those ideas into a product that operates “with the touch of a button.” The same release cited an International Dairy Foods Association statistic that more than 60% of Americans choose to eat ice cream at home; that statistic is attributed to the association and dated April 2024, rather than being a measure of NC701 demand.

- Consider it if you specifically want to make a frozen base and dispense a soft-serve swirl at home, alongside scooped desserts.
- Compare it with the NC601 if larger 24-ounce tubs and six servings per pint matter more than soft-serve dispensing.
