Make the song in two passes: use Suno or Eleven Music for a complete post-hardcore sketch, then tighten the drums, bass, transitions and arrangement with Beat Shaper or Soundverse AI Beat Maker. Use Udio for alternate lyric, vocal and section ideas while its downloads are disabled during the current transition period.
What Post-Hardcore Needs From An AI Workflow
Post-hardcore depends on contrast: restrained verses against explosive choruses, melodic passages against abrasive sections, and breakdowns that feel heavier because the surrounding parts leave space. Your prompts should specify the section order, tempo feel, guitar character, drum accents, vocal contrast and the exact point where the breakdown arrives.
- Describe dynamics: “clean, tense verse; wide melodic chorus; half-time breakdown; short noisy bridge.”
- Describe rhythm rather than naming a band: “syncopated kick pattern, sharp snare backbeats, stop-start rests and a half-time final breakdown.”
- Separate vocal directions: “intimate clean verse, forceful shouted chorus, harsh vocal texture in the breakdown.” Treat these as requests to try, not guaranteed capabilities.
- Keep a written map such as “Intro 0:00–0:12, Verse 0:12–0:38, Chorus 0:38–1:05, Breakdown 1:42–2:05.”
Step 1: Write A Post-Hardcore Song Blueprint
Before generating audio, decide the emotional arc and the parts you will replace manually. A practical first brief is:
Prompt: “Post-hardcore song, Not stated BPM, drop-tuned heavy guitar feel, restrained clean verse, urgent pre-chorus, huge melodic chorus, dissonant bridge, half-time breakdown with stop-start rests, shouted and clean vocal contrast, 3-minute structure, no extended intro.”

Replace “Not stated BPM” with the tempo you want; the phrase is only a placeholder in this example, not a product setting. If a generator ignores a section, shorten the prompt and generate that section as a separate idea.
Step 2: Build The Drum And Bass Skeleton

Use Udio to test alternate lyrics, vocal approaches and transitions. Prompt one section at a time: “same post-hardcore chorus lyric, cleaner melody, more space before the final shouted line,” then compare the phrasing with your main demo. Udio can extend or transform audio and refine results in Sessions.
Udio currently disables audio, video and stem downloads during its transition period, so treat it as an idea source and recreate the chosen part in an export-capable tool or your DAW. Its Free plan lists 10 daily credits and 100 monthly credits; paid plans start at $10 per month. Step 5: Arrange The Track In Your DAW
- Import the MIDI, WAV or stems you are allowed to download.
- Mute duplicated low-end parts so the bass and kick do not fight during the breakdown.
- Record or program your own guitar riffs, octave lines and feedback layers around the generated rhythm.
- Cut the verse before it becomes predictable, then leave a short silence before the breakdown impact.
- Automate level and density: pull back cymbals and layers in the verse, widen the chorus, and remove elements for the breakdown’s first hit.
- Replace any lyric, vocal tone or sample you cannot verify. Keep written permission for any voice, lyric, recording or reference audio supplied by another person.

Rights And Consent Checks Before Release
- Use lyrics, recordings and reference audio that you created or have permission to use.
- Do not imitate a real person’s voice without that person’s consent. If a tool offers voice references or related controls, read its current terms first.
- Confirm commercial eligibility for every account used. Free tiers may be personal-use only, and plan rights can differ.
- Save the plan name and terms that applied when you exported the final files.
