To create a song from YouTube comments with AI, collect a few comments that point to the same feeling or story, rewrite them into an original lyric brief, then generate and revise a song in a music tool. The tools covered here do not document importing YouTube comments directly, so plan to select and prepare the source material yourself.
What You Need Before You Start
- A small set of comments that share a theme, such as missing someone, an unexpected discovery, or a funny disagreement.
- A notes app or document where you can sort themes and draft your own lines.

Step 1: Choose Comments That Can Become One Song
Read comments on the video and select a handful that express a shared emotion or situation. Look for a story arc: what happened, how people reacted, and what feeling remains. A thread full of unrelated jokes usually makes a weaker song brief than several comments circling one idea.
Keep only what you need for the idea. Leave out usernames, profile details, and identifying information. Avoid copying distinctive lines verbatim; write down the underlying sentiment in your own words. If you want to use a recognizable comment or voice, get consent and check the relevant platform terms.

In your notes app, reduce the selected comments to a few building blocks: the central feeling, the situation, a point of tension, and a possible change by the end. Do not paste an entire comment thread into a prompt and ask the model to reproduce it. Instead, describe the theme without names or quoted wording.

For example, if comments describe people remembering a late-night drive, a brief might say: “A reflective song about strangers remembering the same rainy drive home; begin with loneliness, build toward shared understanding, and end with a small sense of hope.” This is an invented example, not text from a real comment thread.
Add musical direction that matches the comments’ emotional shape. Specify the broad style, energy, tempo feel, vocal approach, and instruments you want. These are creative directions for the prompt, not claims about a tool’s supported genre catalog. If a particular genre or sound matters, check the vendor’s current options.

Step 3: Draft And Shape The Lyrics
Use RHYMEBOOK For A Structured Lyric Draft
Enter the original brief and ask for a verse, chorus, and bridge, with the theme and mood made explicit. Step 4: Generate The Song
- Open Suno and start a song from your prepared brief or original lyrics. Ask for a clear emotional progression and describe the vocal and instrumental character you want.
- Keep the first prompt focused: one central theme, one mood shift, and a few musical directions. For example: “Reflective indie folk song about finding connection in strangers’ memories of a rainy drive home. Intimate vocal, restrained acoustic arrangement, gradual lift into a hopeful chorus.” This is an example prompt, not a guarantee of a particular output or genre setting.
- Listen for whether the generated lyrics preserve your intended theme without repeating source wording or inventing personal details. Revise the brief or lyrics if they do not.
- Use Suno’s editing options, such as section replacement or extensions, to work on a part that needs a different emotional turn. Save a version before making substantial changes so you can compare your own drafts.
Step 5: Check The Result Before Sharing
- Confirm the lyric expresses your interpretation of the comments rather than presenting a commenter’s words or identity as yours.

Rights And Consent For Comment-Based Songs
Comments can include personal stories, identifiable people, or wording someone may recognize. Get consent before using a person’s recognizable words or voice, and check YouTube’s terms and the music tool’s terms for your intended use.
