The ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 PRO OMNI is most compelling when a robot must fit under low furniture. Its 81 mm (3.19-inch) body combines embedded dToF LiDAR with a full OMNI dock that empties dust, washes mops with warm water, dries them, and doses cleaning solution. It is a strong hard-floor and pet-hair maintenance cleaner, but independent testing does not make it a clear leader for carpet deep cleaning, obstacle avoidance, or software polish.
For a US shopper, the practical decision is straightforward: buy it when low clearance and automated mopping matter more than perfect clutter handling or maximum carpet performance; choose the cheaper T50 OMNI when the Pro camera features are unnecessary; and consider another brand when mapping confidence or carpet cleaning is the priority.

What the T50 PRO OMNI is—and what it is not
The full name is ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 PRO OMNI Robot Vacuum & Mop with LiDAR. It is a robot vacuum, dual-rotating-pad mop, and self-cleaning dock, rather than a conventional upright vacuum. The Pro version adds an RGB AI camera, AIVI 3D 3.0 obstacle system, and AI Instant Re-mop functions to the standard T50 OMNI platform.

Do not assume every T50 listing describes the same machine. T50 OMNI, T50 PRO OMNI, T50 MAX PRO OMNI, and T50 PRO OMNI Gen3 are separate names; Gen3 specifications can vary by region and generation. Confirm whether a listing contains the robot, a complete dock, or only an accessories package. Regional pages, including the Gen3 listing, should not be treated as US specifications.
Low-clearance design: the reason to buy it
The robot measures 352.7 × 351.6 × 81 mm and weighs 3.7 kg. Its station measures 350 × 477 × 533 mm and weighs 7.6 kg. Embedded dToF LiDAR avoids the tall rotating turret found on many robots, making the 81 mm height possible. Specifications are listed by ECOVACS on its US accessories and product page.
Measure the actual gap beneath beds, sofas, cabinets, and media units before buying. Include furniture lips, fabric overhangs, legs, cables, and the turning space at the back. Fitting underneath does not guarantee that the robot can turn around, cross a threshold, or return to its dock. If your furniture already has more than roughly 3.2 inches of clear, usable space, the slim body may offer little practical advantage over a taller robot.

Vacuum cleaning performance
What ECOVACS claims
ECOVACS specifies up to 15,000 Pa suction, a floating main brush, extendable side brush, ZeroTangle 2.0 anti-tangle design, carpet detection, and carpet pressurization. Modes include vacuum-only, mop-only, vacuum-and-mop, and vacuum-then-mop. Pa is a pressure figure, not a complete cleaning score: airflow, brush agitation, debris type, and carpet design matter just as much.
What independent measurements show
Vacuum Wars reports a carpet deep-clean score of 79, pet-hair pickup of 86, crevice pickup of 1, airflow of 21 cfm, measured suction of 0.92 kPa, and zero hair tangling in its test. Its category ratings include 3.73/5 for mopping, 3.70/5 for navigation, 3.13/5 for obstacle avoidance, and 4.31/5 for pet suitability. See the test database for methodology and context.

Those results point to good daily dust and pet-hair maintenance, especially on hard floors, not guaranteed superiority on embedded carpet grit. Firmware, flooring, brush condition, and test methods can change outcomes. Plan on occasional conventional deep vacuuming in carpet-heavy homes.
Mopping, rugs, and stain work
Two rotating OZMO Turbo 2.0 pads, TruEdge 2.0 edge cleaning, an extendable mop, and automatic warm-water washing give the T50 PRO OMNI a substantial mopping feature set. ECOVACS says AI Instant Re-mop uses the camera to identify stains and alter water flow and cleaning patterns; that is a manufacturer-described feature rather than proof of autonomous removal of every dried stain.
The pads lift up to 9 mm. That can protect many low- and medium-pile rugs, but it is not the same as removing wet pads from the robot. Use the app’s carpet strategies—“Pass Through Only,” “Vacuum Only,” “As On Floor,” or “No Entry Area”—for delicate, shag, high-pile, or moisture-sensitive rugs. Dried food, grease, muddy paw prints, corners, and chair legs still deserve realistic expectations and occasional manual attention.
Navigation, clutter, and camera privacy
Navigation combines embedded dToF LiDAR, TrueMapping 2.0, 3D structured light, an RGB AI camera, and AIVI 3D 3.0. ECOVACS advertises recognition of 100 objects, but Vacuum Wars’ 3.13/5 obstacle-avoidance rating shows that a long feature list is not the same as clutter-proof operation.
Before scheduled runs, remove charging cables, socks, underwear, small toys, thin straps, transparent items, and pet waste. Recognition depends on lighting, object size, color, angle, and firmware. Clean the camera window and sensors when navigation becomes inconsistent.

The RGB camera also creates a privacy decision. Review ECOVACS’ DEEBOT T50 EU Data Act declaration for the documented visual and app-related data categories. Do not assume that all camera processing is local, that cloud features are identical by region, or that covering the camera leaves every function unaffected.
What the OMNI dock automates—and what it does not
The dock automatically collects dust into a 3 L bag, washes mop pads with warm water, dries them with hot air, adds cleaning solution, and scrapes the station. It has 4 L clean- and dirty-water tanks and a claimed mopping coverage of 300 m². Drying can be set to 2, 3, or 4 hours. Auto-refill and drain are listed on the US page, but plumbing hardware and installation are variant- and region-dependent; verify the exact package.
Ownership is reduced, not eliminated. You still need to:
- Empty the dirty-water tank and refill the clean-water tank.
- Replace the dust bag and clean filters.
- Wash the station area and inspect water flow.
- Remove hair from brushes, wheels, and mop plates.
- Clean sensors, charging contacts, and anti-drop sensors.
- Replace mop pads and other consumables.
Vacuum Wars notes that the station tray was not removable in its database test, which can make deep cleaning less convenient. The official support page provides procedures for tanks, the sink, pads, wheels, sensors, and station installation.
Battery and coverage
The listed US specification gives a 6,400 mAh battery, approximately 3.7 hours to charge, and manufacturer runtimes of 255 minutes on hard floor in silent vacuum, 215 minutes in standard vacuum, and 185 minutes in standard vacuum-and-mop. These are operating figures under stated conditions, not guaranteed whole-home times. Suction level, floor type, obstacles, mop use, and recharge behavior all matter.

App, maps, and controls
The ECOVACS HOME app supports room and area cleaning, map editing, no-go and no-mop zones, carpet strategy, suction and water adjustments, schedules, cleaning history, firmware updates, and YIKO-GPT voice features. Labels and menu locations can change with region, language, firmware, and app version, so avoid relying on a rigid path from an older review.
Reviews disagree: some find mapping responsive and the interface polished, while others report unreliable room setup or less consistent software than Roborock. That variability is a buying consideration, particularly for users who frequently edit maps or depend on precise room routines.

T50 MAX PRO OMNI and other alternatives
The T50 MAX PRO OMNI is a separate, higher-positioned model associated with BLAST technology, not a firmware upgrade to the Pro. ECOVACS introduced it as a flagship T50-family product in March 2025; see the announcement. Compare exact regional height, brush system, carpet results, dock footprint, battery, firmware, and current price before concluding that “Max” is better.
Roborock is often considered for mature mapping and app workflows. Dreame and MOVA are relevant for buyers prioritizing carpet performance, threshold handling, or different dock designs. No current competitor price or warranty term is established here, so compare live listings and support policies rather than relying on a brand-level assumption.
Common problems and practical recovery
It cannot find the dock
- Clear a straight approach and keep the dock on a level, stable surface.
- Clean navigation sensors, charging contacts, and wheels.
- Return the robot to the dock manually.
- If positioning remains wrong, restore or rebuild the map after simpler causes are ruled out.
The dock will not wash or supply hot water
Check tank levels, the wash area, water path, and dirty-water capacity, then follow the dedicated hot-water and cleaning-sink procedures in the ECOVACS support documentation rather than improvising a repair.

Inspect pad installation, clean-water level, water flow, wash area, and carpet strategy. A blocked path or pads that were not fully wetted before a combined cycle can leave marks.
Debris remains in the bin
Check the brush cover, dust inlet, filter, bag connection, station suction path, and whether the bag or bin is full.
Who should buy it?
- Low-furniture homes: Buy if the 81 mm clearance solves a measured access problem.
- Mostly hard floors and pets: Buy if automated pad care and anti-tangle performance are more valuable than top-tier carpet cleaning.
- Carpet-heavy homes: Be cautious; the tested carpet score is respectable, not class-leading.
- Cluttered homes: Be cautious and expect daily pickup of cables, toys, and small objects.
- Privacy-sensitive households: Choose a non-camera design or review the regional data documentation first.
- Bargain shoppers: Compare the live T50 OMNI price; the Pro is most attractive when discounted.

These are observed offers, not a permanent MSRP. The same bundle page showed a $100 accessories kit, $49.98 for two 1 L cleaning-solution bottles, and $33.99 for an antibacterial mop.
Support listings showed dust bags at $24.99 for one antibacterial bag and $49.98 for six, a $12.99 side brush, a $14.99 antibacterial filter, an $11.99 cleaning tool, $24.99 for 1 L pet-friendly solution, and a $49.99 Buddy kit. Prices, stock, and warranty coverage can change; verify them through the US support and parts page. Marketplace purchases with unclear support are a higher-risk choice.
