The Ecovacs DEEBOT T80S OMNI is a robot vacuum-and-mop with a self-emptying, mop-washing dock—not just a high-suction vacuum. Ecovacs lists maximum suction of 24,800Pa, an actively rinsed roller mop, automatic lifting for carpet and spill scenarios, and a U.S. price of $509 when its product page was checked on August 18, 2026. Those specifications describe the design, not a guarantee of cleaning results: real performance depends on flooring, debris, settings and upkeep.
What the T80S OMNI includes
The T80S combines vacuuming and mopping with an OMNI station that empties the robot’s dust box, washes the mop with hot water, dries it with hot air and refills the robot’s water supply. The robot maps and cleans through the ECOVACS HOME app. Its distinguishing idea is the combination of a powered, rinsed roller mop and automated handling of dust, water and floor transitions.

Availability and regional pricing
The T80S was reported as a China launch in September 2025, with reported starting prices of 4,049 yuan for a water-tank version and 4,699 yuan for an automatic-refill-and-drain version. These are China-market figures, not U.S. prices, and regional configurations may differ. The Chinese launch report provides that context. Ecovacs’ U.S. store listed the T80S OMNI at $509 when checked on August 18, 2026. Confirm current price, included accessories and configuration on the U.S. product page before buying.

What 24,800Pa suction does—and does not—tell you
Pa measures pressure, and 24,800Pa is Ecovacs’ maximum rated suction figure. It is not a standardized whole-machine cleaning score or a reliable way to rank robots from different brands. Pickup also depends on airflow, brush design, how well the robot seals against a surface, the debris, the floor and the cleaning speed. Maximum suction may use more battery and produce more noise than a lower setting; the listed 63dBA applies to standard sweep mode, not necessarily maximum suction or dock operation.
For a buyer, the number is one specification to consider—not proof that the robot will outperform every lower-Pa model on carpet, pet hair or fine dust. Look for independent testing on the floor types and debris that matter in your home. The T80S’s value proposition also rests on its roller mop and dock automation.
OZMO ROLLER 2.0: active scrubbing with ongoing rinsing
Unlike a stationary pad that wipes with the same surface until it returns to the dock, the T80S roller is designed to scrub while being rinsed. Ecovacs specifies 3,800Pa of pressure and 220 rotations per minute. In principle, active scrubbing and refreshing the roller can suit large hard-floor areas and dried-on dirt better than passive damp wiping, while reducing the chance of dragging a dirty mop surface across the floor.
That design is more involved than a basic mop pad: it includes a roller, water handling and a washing tray that need attention. It cannot guarantee stain removal or eliminate streaks, and the owner still has to refill clean water, empty dirty water, inspect the roller and clean the tray as needed.

Smart lifting: what moves and when
Ecovacs calls the mechanism Triple Lift. The roller mop lifts when carpet is detected; both brushes can lift around liquid spills to reduce wet contamination; and the side brush can lift for large debris while suction increases. The product page also lists ultrasonic carpet detection, carpet pressurization and automatic mop cleaning. These behaviors aim to keep wet mopping away from carpet and adjust the robot’s approach to different conditions.
Lifting is not a promise that every rug, fringe, spill or threshold will be handled correctly. Ecovacs gives a maximum barrier-crossing figure of 20mm, but actual transitions depend on their shape and surface. Dark flooring, wet debris, loose cables and carpet type can also complicate detection. Check the app’s carpet strategy and test it in your layout rather than assuming the robot will clean carpets in your preferred order.
Edge reach and low-clearance furniture
TruEdge 3.0 extends the roller toward edges by about 1.5cm (0.6 inch), with an adaptive cushion system and edge-gliding wheels. That can bring the mop closer to a wall, but reaching nearer an edge is not the same as extracting dirt from every corner, around furniture legs or along irregular trim. Ecovacs’ “edge-to-edge” language describes its intended coverage, not a guaranteed result in every room.

At 3.9 inches tall, the robot may fit beneath some low furniture that taller models cannot. Measure the clearance—including any low crossbars or changes in floor height—before counting on it to clean underneath.

AIVI 3D 3.0 navigation and obstacle avoidance
Ecovacs describes AIVI 3D 3.0 Omni-approach Technology as combining structured light, RGB-based AI, supplementary lighting and a vision-language model to identify and navigate around obstacles. The intended targets include items such as shoes, cables and pet toys, as well as furniture and dimmer areas. That can reduce the need to clear every small object before a run, but “AI” does not mean infallible avoidance.
Ecovacs’ own T80S support hub includes troubleshooting for occasional obstacle-avoidance failures, missed areas, erratic paths and difficulty returning to the station. Keep fragile objects, cables and pet messes out of the robot’s path where possible, and check the map and completed route when a room is missed.
AI Stain Detection 2.0: a claimed capability
Ecovacs says the T80S identifies stains and adjusts cleaning intensity. Its description says heavier stains can prompt a grid-pattern clean, a mop refresh and another pass, while lighter stains receive a focused pass. Treat that as a manufacturer-described feature, not proof of consistent recognition across stain types, floor colors or lighting conditions. Independent testing would be needed to establish how reliably it identifies and removes different stains.
What the OMNI station automates—and what remains yours
The dock handles dust emptying, hot-water mop washing, hot-air roller drying and water refill. Ecovacs lists a 4L clean-water tank and 2.2L dirty-water tank. It claims up to 90 days of hands-free dustbin emptying and says the mop-washing tray may need cleaning only once or twice a year, depending on use. Those intervals are usage-dependent, not a maintenance-free guarantee. Pets, frequent runs, larger homes and heavily soiled floors can increase how often the system needs attention.

Expect to:
- Refill the clean-water tank and empty the dirty-water tank.
- Inspect and clean the roller and washing tray; respond to water-tray, dirty-water-box or roller-tangle alerts.
- Remove hair and debris from the main and side brushes, and replace dust bags, filters and other consumables as needed.
- Check sensors, charging contacts and wheels if navigation or movement becomes unreliable.
Automatic washing reduces hands-on work; it does not remove it. The dock, roller and associated consumables also make ownership more complex than a vacuum-only robot. Ecovacs lists compatible parts and maintenance guidance in its T80S support hub.

The phrase “AI voice assistant” needs a qualification: Ecovacs documents its YIKO voice assistant, but the T80S U.S. product and support pages do not clearly present it as a headline, T80S-specific feature. Confirm that YIKO is available for your region and appears for your robot in the ECOVACS HOME app before treating voice control as a buying reason.
Ecovacs’ YIKO instructions say to enable the assistant in the app. Example commands include starting a clean, cleaning the whole home, increasing suction, returning to the dock, starting a map and initiating station self-cleaning. The assistant needs network connectivity for task execution; Ecovacs says it can be awakened from roughly five meters under suitable conditions. Setup: map first, then tune carpet and cleaning behavior
- Install the ECOVACS HOME app and place the OMNI station on a flat, hard surface against a wall.
- Set up the robot and station, then connect the robot to Wi-Fi using the app.
- Run an initial mapping job and review the map for missed or incorrectly divided areas.
- Set carpet behavior, cleaning sequence, schedules, virtual boundaries and any multi-floor maps to match your home.
- Enable YIKO separately if it is available in your region and you want voice control.
The T80S support hub has guides for mapping, Wi-Fi, schedules, multi-floor maps, virtual boundaries, cleaning sequence, mop-only mode and carpet-first cleaning. The carpet-first setting is worth checking if you want the robot to vacuum rugs before mopping nearby hard floors.
Who should consider the T80S—and who should skip it?
It is most compelling for: homes with substantial hard flooring, frequent mopping needs, dried food or tracked-in dirt, and owners who value an automated wash-and-dry dock. Its low profile can help where furniture clearance is tight. Mixed-floor households may appreciate the lifting system, provided their carpet and transitions suit the robot. Pet owners may value the anti-tangle design, but should not interpret that feature as eliminating hair cleanup.
Look elsewhere if: your home has many cables, toys or pet accidents that are hard to clear; your carpets are very thick or high-pile; thresholds exceed the stated crossing ability; or you want a simple vacuum-only robot with fewer parts and consumables. The large dock may also be disproportionate in a small home. If you do not want an app account, network-connected features or voice assistants, much of the T80S’s convenience will matter less.
What the specifications cannot settle
The product information confirms a substantial feature set, but specifications alone cannot establish carpet pickup, pet-hair performance, stain recognition accuracy, edge debris removal, obstacle avoidance in a cluttered home or long-term reliability. Those are the questions independent testing and experience in a similar floor plan can answer. Do not treat “near-zero tangling,” “gap-free” coverage, AI recognition or long hands-free intervals as guaranteed outcomes.
At $509 on Ecovacs’ U.S. page when checked August 18, 2026, the T80S makes the strongest case for buyers who will use its active roller mop and automated dock regularly. Its 24,800Pa rating is not, by itself, a reason to buy. Weigh the hard-floor mopping system and time saved against the dock’s footprint, recurring consumables, app dependence and continuing maintenance.
