Verdict: The Ecovacs Deebot N30 Pro Omni is worth considering if your home is mostly hard flooring and you want a robot that empties its dustbin and washes and dries its mop pads. Its strongest case is the dock, not proven class-leading cleaning: the headline 10,000 Pa suction and 320-minute runtime are manufacturer claims, and the available public evidence does not establish how it performs in controlled pickup or stain-removal tests. Ecovacs’ U.S. store displayed it for $315 on August 18, 2026; prices and availability can change.
This is a specification- and source-based review, not a hands-on test. The recommendation is strongest for routine cleaning on hard floors, light-to-moderate short pet hair, and low-pile rugs. Choose another approach if you rely on a robot to clean thick carpet, avoid floor clutter, or handle pet accidents unattended.

What you get: a vacuum, rotating-pad mop, and Omni station
The N30 Pro Omni is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop paired with a station that takes over several chores. It collects the robot’s dust into a 2.6-liter bag, washes its two rotating mop pads with hot water, dries them with hot air, and holds separate clean- and dirty-water tanks. That reduces hands-on work, but it does not make the system maintenance-free.

For cleaning, it uses an LDS/LiDAR navigation system, adjustable suction and water flow, and Ecovacs’ OZMO Turbo dual rotating pads. TruEdge is intended to bring a mop pad closer to edges, while ultrasonic carpet detection and automatic mop lifting are intended to keep the pads from dragging over rugs. These are useful design features; they do not guarantee perfect edge coverage, stain removal, or dry carpets in every room.
Vacuuming: promising specifications, limited independent evidence
Ecovacs rates maximum suction at 10,000 Pa and advertises its ZeroTangle 2.0 brush design and a straight-through air path. Treat those as product specifications, not as a standardized score. A Pa figure alone cannot tell you how much fine dust, larger debris, or hair a robot will collect from a particular carpet. Brush contact, airflow, passes, floor texture, and the debris itself also matter.
On hard flooring, the N30 Pro Omni’s intended job is everyday maintenance: dust, crumbs, and ordinary surface debris. The available sources do not provide controlled pickup results for those materials, so it would be misleading to promise a particular level of performance or to compare its pickup directly with a competitor’s based on suction numbers.
Carpet is the more cautious buying case. The robot can vacuum with its mop pads lifted, but the available dedicated review recommends caution around thick carpet and long-haired pets; that review says its assessment relies mainly on manufacturer information rather than lab testing. Consider that a warning to weigh against your own flooring, not a verified comparative test result. Low-pile rugs and short hair are a more plausible fit than plush carpet with hair worked into the pile. Owners should also expect to inspect the main brush: the anti-tangle design does not eliminate the need to remove wrapped hair.
Ecovacs advertises TruEdge edge mopping and reports 98% edge coverage in its product claims. That is not evidence that the robot will pick up every crumb along every baseboard or reach into every corner. Furniture legs, room geometry, and the shape of an edge all affect what a robot can reach.
Mopping: useful for upkeep, not a replacement for manual scrubbing
The two rotating pads agitate the floor as the robot moves. The app offers water-flow adjustment, and the station washes the pads with 60°C water and dries them using 40°C hot air, according to Ecovacs. This setup is aimed at repeated maintenance cleaning. It is not a full-width roller mop, and available evidence does not establish how reliably it removes dried-on stains, avoids streaks, or handles fresh spills. Do not buy it on the assumption that it will replace manual mopping or clean a spill safely before you notice it.

Automatic mop lifting is useful when a route includes rugs, but it is not a reason to leave valuable or thick rugs unprotected on the first run. Rug height, uneven edges, sensor behavior, and route choices can affect whether damp pads touch fabric. Test the transition on a small, suitable rug while you are present. If the robot cannot handle a rug confidently, set a no-mop zone or keep that rug out of its mopping route.
TruEdge is designed to extend cleaning toward edges, but no available independent measurement here confirms its reach in real rooms. Likewise, the available research does not establish the robot’s consistency around table legs or furniture during mopping. Inspect the floor after an initial cycle and adjust the map or zones if needed.
Dock automation—and the chores it does not remove
The dock’s mix of dust collection, hot-water pad washing, and hot-air drying is the N30 Pro Omni’s clearest advantage at its checked price. Washing and drying can reduce the stale, damp-pad problem associated with leaving a wet mop on the robot. But the dirty-water tank still needs attention, the clean-water tank needs refilling, and the washing tray and station can collect residue.
Ecovacs lists the station at about 340 × 485 × 540 mm with its detachable base (340 × 295 × 540 mm without the base). The robot is about 353 × 353 × 104 mm. Measure furniture clearance against the robot’s full 104 mm height, and leave enough practical access to remove the tanks, open the station, and service it. Choose a level, hard-floor location before mapping; moving the dock later can disrupt the saved map or require a new mapping run. For a small apartment, the station’s footprint and tank access matter as much as the robot’s diameter.
The manufacturer lists noise at approximately 65.3 dBA during standard vacuum-and-mop operation, 60 dBA while washing mops, and 83 dBA during dust collection. These are manufacturer figures, not independent measurements. The dust-emptying burst is likely to be much more noticeable than routine operation; schedule cleaning with that interruption in mind if the station is near a bedroom or shared workspace.

Navigation, obstacle avoidance, and route reliability
LiDAR is used to map room layout and navigate repeatable routes. Ecovacs’ TrueMapping 2.0 materials claim a 100-square-meter map in six minutes and obstacle or threshold crossing up to 20 mm. These are manufacturer claims, not a guarantee that every home will map in that time or that the robot will clear every threshold. The 20 mm figure should not be treated as a promise for soft rug edges, awkward transitions, or obstacles approached at an unfavorable angle.

Mapping rooms and recognizing small objects are different problems. The official page refers to laser obstacle avoidance, but the available evidence does not establish reliable recognition of every cable, sock, toy, or pet accident. Clear floor clutter before scheduled runs, especially cables and items that could wrap around the brush. Do not rely on this robot to avoid pet waste unattended.
Make its first mapping run in a representative, uncluttered layout and check room divisions before setting recurring jobs. Test tight routes, thresholds, and rugs while present. If the robot begins taking abnormal routes, Ecovacs’ model-specific support library includes guidance for cluttered paths, sensor cleaning, docking, charging, and station issues. A practical recovery sequence is to clear small objects, clean the navigation area and sensors, verify that the dock is level and unmoved, then restart the robot and app. If a map is badly corrupted or the dock has moved, rebuilding the map may be more effective than repeatedly editing it.
App, connectivity, and voice control
The ECOVACS HOME app is the control center for map-based cleaning, schedules, cleaning modes, suction, and water flow. The U.S. manual lists router support for 802.11b/g/n and IPv4. Check your network compatibility before buying if you use a restricted or unusual Wi-Fi setup. App screens, menu names, integrations, and firmware behavior can change, and the available sources do not establish a current uptime rate or promise full operation when the robot is offline.
The listed U.S. model supports third-party control through Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Alice, but does not include integrated YIKO voice control. Regional versions may differ. A connected app and account are part of setup; consult Ecovacs’ current privacy information and app permissions if cloud-connected control is a concern.
On first use, set up the station on a level hard surface, fit its base and the robot’s brushes and mop plates, fill the clean-water tank, and install the dirty-water tank. Charge the robot, then add it through the ECOVACS HOME app and follow the current network instructions. Map with cables, toys, clothing, and other small items cleared away. Confirm room boundaries and carpet preferences, then run a short vacuum-only job before trying a full mopping cycle. App labels may vary by version, so follow the current in-app prompts rather than relying on a fixed menu path.

Also remove hair and debris from the wheels and brush, wipe sensors and charging contacts, and clean the washing tray if residue or odor appears. Emptying dirty water after mopping is particularly important: hot-washing the pads does not keep dirty water in the tank from becoming unpleasant. Check Ecovacs’ manual for the full model-specific procedure and safe cleaning products. Replacement parts and consumables are ongoing costs; their prices and availability can change, so check the support store rather than assuming a fixed annual ownership cost.

These are distinct products, not alternate names for one robot. The N30 Pro Omni U.S. page specifically advertises 60°C hot-water mop washing and 40°C hot-air drying. The N30 Omni page is useful for family context, but the available verified material is not enough to assert that mop washing is the only difference. Check the current U.S. specifications, included accessories, tank details, brush design, app support, warranty, and return terms for both exact listings before deciding.
There is also an unusual price snapshot: on August 18, 2026, Ecovacs displayed the N30 Pro Omni at $315 and the N30 Omni listing at $669.99. That inversion could reflect a promotion, availability, or a listing issue; it should not be read as a normal price hierarchy or proof that the Pro is inherently cheaper. Verify the live price and terms at checkout.
Who should buy it?
- Buy or shortlist it if your home is mostly hard floors, you want a dock that handles dust and mop-pad care, and you are comfortable maintaining tanks, brushes, filters, and the tray. At the $315 U.S. price displayed on August 18, 2026, its feature set makes a strong value case for that household.
- Compare alternatives carefully if you have substantial thick carpet, long-haired pets, or a cluttered floor plan. A competing model may better suit you if independently verified carpet pickup or small-object avoidance matters more than dock automation. Roborock’s Qrevo range, Dreame’s L10s and related Ultra models, Eufy’s robot line, and Ecovacs’ higher models are categories to compare—not interchangeable recommendations. Check the precise U.S. model, current price, dock functions, warranty, and return policy on the relevant Roborock, Dreame, Eufy, or Ecovacs site.
- Skip a robot or do not run it unattended if you need dependable handling of pet waste, routinely leave cords and small objects on the floor, or expect a robot mop to remove set-in stains without manual follow-up.
At a substantially higher price than the checked $315, reassess the value: the case depends on getting extensive dock automation for a midrange outlay, while the available evidence does not prove class-leading pickup, obstacle avoidance, or app reliability. If those capabilities matter more in your home, spend comparison time on the exact alternatives rather than buying on suction or runtime numbers alone.
