Anker’s Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro is a mobile theater station, not simply a portable projector. It combines a 4K triple-laser projector, wireless Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 audio, detachable surround speakers, microphones, wheels, and— in its headline configuration—a 200-inch inflatable outdoor screen.
The important limitation is easy to miss: the projector has no built-in battery. Outdoor use requires mains electricity or a compatible portable power station.
What Anker unveiled
Anker is the parent company behind Soundcore, its smart-entertainment brand. The Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro is marketed as a “mobile theater station,” designed to combine equipment that would normally be bought separately.

The system was introduced through a Kickstarter campaign in September 2025. By August 2026, Soundcore was presenting it through U.S. retail pages with official buying links, although displayed prices varied by page and configuration.

Soundcore’s current product materials list the following specifications. These are manufacturer claims, not independent test results:

In this context, “4K” means the projector produces a 3840 × 2160 image through pixel shifting; it does not mean the system uses a native 4K imaging chip. Soundcore also advertises features including autofocus, automatic keystone correction, obstacle avoidance, automatic screen fit, optical zoom, wall-color and ambient-light adaptation, and a 25-degree micro gimbal.
Soundcore recommends positioning the projector within roughly 13 feet (4 meters) for the best accuracy from its automated sensing features. Those conveniences can shorten setup, but digital keystone correction and automatic resizing may sacrifice some usable image area or brightness compared with careful physical alignment.
How the inflatable screen works
The screen is a large inflatable structure rather than a rigid frame or ordinary hanging fabric. Its 200-inch diagonal measures approximately 16.7 feet, and the actual setup needs more room for the screen structure, anchoring lines, speakers, seating, and clearance.
According to Soundcore’s 200-inch bundle page, the screen has a battery-powered pump and an air-tight design, so the pump does not need to run continuously during viewing. Integrated brackets hold the X1 Pro’s surround speakers, while guy ropes, stakes, and water-bag anchors help stabilize the screen outdoors.
Soundcore claims theater setup can take about five minutes. That estimate is best understood as an ideal equipment setup, not a guarantee: finding a level location, filling ballast, staking the screen, connecting power, placing speakers, and correcting alignment can take longer.

The power catch: it is not self-powered
The Nebula X1 Pro has no internal battery. The screen’s pump is battery-powered, but the projector and main theater station require AC power. For a backyard or remote setup, that means bringing an outlet-powered extension arrangement or a portable power station with adequate continuous AC output.

Soundcore recommends a portable power station rated above 335 watts and says an Anker SOLIX C1000 can run the projector for up to 3.32 hours under its internal testing. Actual runtime will vary with brightness, audio volume, connected devices, conversion losses, battery condition, temperature, and other loads. It is not a guaranteed movie-night runtime.
The detachable surround speakers have their own batteries and can recharge through the main unit or USB-C, according to launch coverage. That does not make the complete theater cordless: the central projector still needs external AC power outdoors.
What 7.1.4 audio means
The “7.1.4” description refers to seven ear-level channels, one subwoofer channel, and four height channels. The main unit and detachable wireless speakers are intended to create an immersive surround field around the audience, with calibration for the listening position.
This is a substantial step beyond the small stereo speakers built into most portable projectors. The system also supports wireless microphones for karaoke and event use. However, Soundcore’s materials indicate that the surround speakers and microphones are designed specifically for the X1 Pro rather than serving as general-purpose accessories for unrelated projector systems. That makes setup simpler but limits future flexibility.

The X1 Pro is portable in the sense that it can roll. It is not lightweight travel equipment.

Launch coverage reported the main unit at approximately 17 × 13.5 × 30 inches and about 72.4 pounds (32.8 kilograms). Wheels and a telescoping handle make it more comparable to a heavy rolling appliance or event-equipment case than to a compact projector.
Moving it from a garage to a yard may be manageable. Carrying it up stairs, lifting it into a vehicle, moving it across rough ground, or storing it in a small apartment may require two people. The full 200-inch configuration also involves rolling cases for the screen and accessories.
The fairest description is transportable rolling equipment, not grab-and-go portability.

Outdoor viewing: light, wind, and weather
Best after sunset
Soundcore says the 3,500-ANSI-lumen output is intended to provide clear viewing from twilight into nighttime. That specification is manufacturer-provided and has not been independently verified in the available sources.
A projector cannot match a television in direct sunlight. Outdoor ambient light reduces contrast, and a larger image spreads the available light over a greater area. The 200-inch screen should be treated primarily as a dusk-to-night or deep-shade solution, not a midday cinema.
Anchor the screen properly
Inflation alone is not enough in wind. Use the supplied stakes, guy ropes, and ballast where appropriate, and do not set the screen on an unsuitable surface. A 200-inch screen presents a substantial surface area to gusts. If conditions deteriorate, end the screening and dismantle the system.

Outdoor does not mean rainproof
Launch coverage described the main housing as IP43-rated and the detachable speakers as IP54-rated. Soundcore’s current product materials add the more important qualification: those ratings apply while the equipment is powered off, and the system should not be used in rain or wet conditions.

How large can the picture be?
The primary outdoor package centers on the 200-inch screen. Earlier coverage reported that the X1 Pro can project an image up to approximately 300 inches when placed at least 20 feet away. Maximum size is not necessarily recommended size: increasing the image spreads the projector’s light further and makes ambient-light limitations more severe.

Pricing needs careful checking because Soundcore’s U.S. pages did not show one consistent figure. On August 18, 2026, the dedicated X1 Pro product page displayed $6,998 with a displayed $499 promotion. Soundcore collection pages showed other promotional figures, including $6,499 and $4,999, depending on the page and configuration.
The dedicated 200-inch screen page promoted the bundle but did not expose one unambiguous price in the retrieved page text. Check the exact bundle, discount, shipping terms, and checkout total before ordering.

Those figures should not be confused with the historical Kickstarter early-bird prices reported at launch: $2,999 for the projector, $3,478 with a 120-inch screen, and $3,698 with a 200-inch screen. Those were launch-campaign prices, not current retail prices.

Who should buy the Nebula X1 Pro?
The X1 Pro makes the most sense for buyers who want an event-style entertainment system and value integration more than low cost or light weight. It can be compelling for:
- Premium backyard movie hosts
- Outdoor sports screenings after dark
- Large group gaming
- Karaoke parties and private events
- Users who want a high-end theater that can move between suitable locations
- Buyers who would rather avoid assembling a projector, receiver, speakers, subwoofer, screen, and calibration system
It is a poor fit for frequent air travel, apartments without substantial storage, daytime outdoor viewing, remote sites without a large power station, low-budget buyers, or anyone who expects rain-safe equipment that can remain outdoors.
Alternatives
Soundcore Nebula X1
The Nebula X1 offers 4K triple-laser projection and micro-gimbal setup features at a lower price than the Pro. It is the more logical choice if image technology and easy alignment matter more than the full rolling 7.1.4 theater package and 200-inch screen.
Soundcore Nebula Cosmos 4K SE
Soundcore’s retrieved category page listed the Cosmos 4K SE at $999.99 sale pricing against a $1,299.99 comparison price. It is a conventional 4K Dolby Vision home projector without the X1 Pro’s inflatable screen, rolling station, or integrated wireless surround system. It is far more realistic for ordinary indoor home theater use.
Soundcore Nebula Mars 3
The Mars 3 is a more conventional outdoor projector with built-in battery operation and a listed five-hour playtime signal. It better suits buyers who prioritize self-contained portability over the X1 Pro’s theater-scale screen and integrated surround sound.
Build your own outdoor theater
A separate projector, inflatable screen, portable power station, and powered or Bluetooth speakers can cost substantially less and offer greater flexibility. The trade-off is more cabling, compatibility decisions, setup time, and manual calibration.
Bottom line
The Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro is an ambitious all-in-one outdoor theater: its 4K triple-laser projector, wireless 7.1.4 audio, microphones, automatic setup features, and 200-inch inflatable screen address many of the hassles of building a large-screen cinema from separate components.
