ADT did offer 60% off a Nest-equipped security package, but that was a specific system promotion—not a general discount on Google Nest products. As of September 24, 2026, the dates shown for both the 60%-off offer and ADT’s later Nest-device promotion have passed, so neither should be assumed available. The terms also changed between offers: the original deal was reported at about $295 for equipment, while ADT’s later professional-installation terms called for a 36-month monitoring commitment starting at $59.99 a month.
The headline “60% off” described a qualifying ADT security system and eligible add-on equipment. It was not a coupon for 60% off anything in the Google Nest lineup, nor did the equipment discount by itself tell you the cost of three years of security service.
That distinction matters if you are weighing a monitored alarm system against buying a Nest doorbell or camera on its own. The original promotion is historical, and ADT’s official offer pages have displayed different promotions with different prices, equipment and contract terms. Check the exact quote and order terms before relying on any offer.

What the original 60%-off package included
A November 7, 2025 report described ADT’s “Front Door Protection” package at approximately $295 after discount, compared with a regular price of more than $700. Its reported equipment included an ADT+ Base hub, three door/window sensors, one motion sensor, a yard sign and window stickers, a Yale smart lock, and a battery-powered Google Nest Doorbell. The report also said eligible add-ons, including Nest cameras, could receive the same discount. See the original report.

Those details belong to that particular promotion. They should not be treated as a current universal package or price. For example, the report said the doorbell could not be swapped for a wired model; ADT’s later offer terms described a choice of battery or wired third-generation Nest Doorbell. Package names, eligible models and terms can change.
ADT’s later Trusted Neighbor offer page described a related, but not necessarily identical, professionally installed system: ADT Base, three door/window sensors, a motion sensor, a Yale smart lock, and a choice of Google Nest Doorbell. Its published figures were a $1,188.98 standard system price, a $713.39 discount, and a minimum discounted system purchase of $475.59. The page also specified a maximum total discount of $750 for eligible equipment and add-ons. These are ADT’s stated figures, not an independent comparison with market prices. Check ADT’s offer terms.
Is the 60% offer still available?
Do not assume so. ADT’s page for the 60%-off professionally installed Trusted Neighbor system shows an expiration date of June 24, 2026, which has passed. The page’s continued availability does not establish that the promotion can still be redeemed.
ADT also advertised a separate promotion for a Nest doorbell and camera plus $250 off a system. Its offer page showed an August 24, 2026 expiration date, also past. The detailed terms describe one Google Nest Doorbell and one Google Nest Cam, even though the banner’s shorthand refers to “two Google Nest cameras.” The offer required a minimum professionally installed system purchase and professional monitoring. In short, ADT’s pages document real promotions, but their displayed dates do not support describing either as currently available on September 24, 2026. If you contact ADT, ask which promotion—if any—is active and get the equipment, price, installation and contract terms in writing.

- Search your video history with help from Gemini[3]; try something like “What happened to the vase in the living room?” to see a summary and relevant clips (subscription required)
The monitoring commitment can outweigh the equipment discount
The 2025 report put the Complete Monitoring Plan at $40 per month and said ADT told the publication a customer needed to keep monitoring for only one month to receive that specific equipment discount. That historical claim must not be carried over to a different offer.
ADT’s later published terms for the professionally installed Trusted Neighbor offer required a 36-month professional monitoring contract, starting at $59.99 per month, and enrollment in ADT EasyPay. They also said an early-cancellation charge may equal 75% of the monthly service charges remaining in the initial contract term. California terms specified a 24-month contract and stated minimum total fees of $1,439.76 at the stated starting rate. Check the contract for your state and quote; do not assume the older one-month condition still applies.

Using ADT’s published minimum figures for that later offer, the arithmetic is:
- Minimum discounted system purchase: $475.59
- Monitoring at $59.99 a month for 36 months: $2,159.64
- Combined amount: $2,635.23, before applicable taxes, local charges, add-ons and any other costs
This is an illustration based on ADT’s stated starting figures, not a personalized quote or a claim that the expired offer remains redeemable. It also is not a complete estimate of every possible charge. Separate out the equipment subtotal, installation, monitoring, any Quality Service Plan or warranty charge, taxes, permits, local fees and early-termination exposure when comparing offers.

ADT’s terms say an $8 monthly guard-response fee may apply in municipalities that require it. Permit costs may also apply; where ADT obtains an alarm permit, the terms list a one-time $8 processing fee. Actual charges depend on location and configuration.
Professional installation, ownership and eligibility
The original Front Door Protection report said the system could be self-installed or professionally installed. The later 60%-off Trusted Neighbor terms were specifically for professional installation and said customers had to claim the offer by phone rather than buy it online. Confirm which installation option applies to any new quote.

Availability varies by market; satisfactory credit may be required, and a security deposit may apply. The terms also say the professionally installed system remains ADT property. Verify how that affects you if you cancel or move.

- Google Home: Google Home features and parts of the camera and smart-home experience.
- Nest Aware through ADT: ADT says customers who subscribe through it retain the Nest Aware name and ADT-managed subscription arrangement.
Google changed the name of second-generation Nest Aware to Google Home Premium for subscriptions purchased directly through Google on October 1, 2025. That does not mean every Google Home Premium feature is included in an ADT plan. Confirm which camera features, video history and subscription charges are part of your particular quote. Google explains the subscription-name change.
ADT’s Trusted Neighbor feature uses Google familiar-face detection along with compatible ADT equipment, including an ADT Base, smart lock and camera, and requires ADT Complete monitoring. Familiar-face detection is not definitive identity verification and should not be relied on to decide whether an unknown person is safe. ADT’s terms also say it is unavailable on Nest cameras used in Illinois.
Remote controls, notifications, video streaming and recording depend on a working internet connection and Wi-Fi. They are not substitutes for safety-critical or life-sustaining devices. Check compatibility and feature availability for your home and location before ordering.
When an ADT system makes sense—and when it doesn’t
A professionally monitored ADT package may suit you if you already want monitored security, value professional installation and emergency-response infrastructure, and expect to keep the service for the contract term. It may also be appealing if you want a Yale lock and Nest camera alongside sensors in one integrated setup.
It is a weaker fit if you only want an inexpensive Nest camera, prefer self-monitoring or month-to-month service, may move or cancel soon, already own compatible devices, or do not want ADT to retain ownership of professionally installed equipment. If you want Google-compatible cameras without an alarm-monitoring contract, compare the cost of buying devices separately through the Google Store and the available Google Home subscriptions. That gives you different services, not the same ADT monitoring and emergency-response arrangement.
Other providers may fit different needs: SimpliSafe is worth comparing for a DIY-oriented setup; Ring Alarm may be a more natural fit for an Alexa household; and Vivint or Brinks Home are alternatives for readers considering professionally monitored systems. Compare current prices, contract and cancellation terms, equipment ownership, installation and Google Home compatibility directly; those details can change.
