What it is
Lands Design is landscape design software for creating gardens, green spaces and landscapes in Rhino or AutoCAD. It is a Windows plugin and requires the corresponding Rhino or AutoCAD license; listed compatibility includes AutoCAD or Civil 3D 2021–2026 and Rhino 7 or 8. The software builds a live 3D model alongside 2D drawing, including contours, plants, paths and walls. Terrain can be created from contours, meshes and point clouds or imported from satellite maps, DEM or GIS files. Its filterable plant database contains more than 8,000 species with botanical descriptions and 2D and 3D representations. Planting tools support individual placement, rows or mass groups, with configurable species mix, density and distribution. Parametric walls, fences, ramps and stairs and a library of urban furniture support hardscape planning. Project lists update with design changes and can be exported to Excel. Who it suits. Lands Design is aimed at landscape architects and also names urban planners, civil engineers, environmental consultants, designers and draftsmen. It suits users already working with a compatible Rhino or AutoCAD license on Windows.
