Overview

BrickControl is cloud-based construction management software from SHM, a Madrid-based company that says it has developed software for construction firms since 1981. The product is intended to manage work across the construction cycle, bringing estimating, planning, execution tracking, purchasing, inventory and cost analysis into one system.

Its stated audience ranges from small businesses with one or two user accounts to large multinationals with hundreds or thousands of workers. That breadth may make it worth considering for contractors who want project controls alongside procurement and cost reporting, though the right fit depends on the plan, user count and integrations a business needs.

Key features

Estimating and planning

BrickControl supports detailed estimates, feasibility analysis, site assessments and price databases, as well as project scheduling. Bid management, construction scheduling and budget tracking are also listed among its capabilities.

Progress and cost monitoring

Teams can track construction progress and progress certificates, as well as resources, materials, labor and machinery costs. Project reports compare estimated costs with actual execution costs in real time, giving managers a view of budget performance as work proceeds.

Purchasing, inventory and documents

Supplier and purchase order management are paired with stock, warehouse and inventory features. Document management is also listed, making the product broader than a scheduling or estimating tool alone.

Integrations and data handling

The integrations page names Reviso, QuickBooks, Dynamics 365 Business Central, Holded and SAP. BrickControl says custom integrations can be built through its REST API. Accounting integrations vary by plan: Holded, Reviso or QuickBooks are listed as optional Premium services, while Sage 200, Oracle NetSuite, SAP or Dynamics 365 are listed for Enterprise.

BrickControl says customer data is stored in Amazon data centers, user access data is encrypted, and customers set access permissions. Subscribers can download backups while their subscription is active. After cancellation, data is kept for one week before deletion from the data center.

Pricing

BrickControl is paid software, with a 14-day trial and no free plan. The trial includes all features and does not require a credit card. The pricing page advertises a 50% discount for three months for new clients on the monthly subscription plans.

Platforms

BrickControl lists Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web and Windows support. The company describes the product as a web application accessed through an internet connection. Its pricing comparison lists local server installation as a feature with further information required, so teams interested in local deployment should confirm the available setup directly with the company.

Who it's for

The combination of estimates, scheduling, progress controls, procurement and cost reporting may suit construction firms that want to coordinate both project delivery and material purchasing. Its stated range includes companies with just one or two user accounts as well as multinationals with hundreds or thousands of workers. Contractors should compare the included user allowances and the price of extra users against the size of the team that will use the system.

Verdict

BrickControl stands out in scope rather than a single specialty: it combines estimating, scheduling, progress and cost tracking with purchasing and inventory management. Its trial gives firms a way to explore the full feature set before choosing a plan, while the paid tiers set clear monthly prices for Basic, Business and PREMIUM. The main points to resolve before committing are Enterprise pricing, extra-user costs, which accounting integrations are optional for the chosen plan, and whether the internet-dependent setup matches the company’s deployment needs.
