Xiaomi announced the MIJIA Front-loading Washing Machine 10KG in China on March 21, 2022, with pre-sales beginning March 22. The reported introductory price was RMB 1,479, versus a regular price of RMB 1,699. It is a standalone washing machine—not a washer-dryer—and the available launch evidence does not establish a US or global release.
What Xiaomi launched
MIJIA is Xiaomi’s smart-home and appliance brand. The 2022 product is a front-loading washer rated for 10KG of dry laundry. The announcement and historical pricing were reported by Gizmochina.

Features and what they mean
10KG capacity
The 10KG figure is the rated weight of dry laundry. It is not an unrestricted limit for every cycle. Bulky bedding, wool, synthetics and other fabrics may have lower program limits. Overloading can worsen cleaning, create out-of-balance spinning and increase mechanical stress, so the Chinese manual should be checked for cycle-specific loads.
48-pole DD direct-drive motor
A direct-drive motor connects to the drum without a belt-and-pulley transmission. That can reduce mechanical wear parts and allow more precise drum control. Xiaomi says DD designs can reduce noise and vibration, improve efficiency and need less maintenance in its general explanation of the technology: Xiaomi’s DD-motor FAQ. Those are design claims, not independent performance results for this 2022 washer. Actual sound and vibration also depend on leveling, load balance, spin speed, cabinet construction and the floor.

Up-to-95°C hygiene washing
The 95°C figure describes the maximum advertised high-temperature setting; it does not mean every program reaches that temperature. Such a cycle may suit some durable cottons, towels or heavily soiled textiles. Wool, elasticized garments, synthetics, colors and delicates generally need lower temperatures. “Sterilization” and mite-removal functions should not be read as universal medical or household-health guarantees, and no independent test results establish pathogen elimination for this model.

Launch coverage reports up to 23 modes and identifies a wool program. No complete, verified program list is established here, so those 23 modes should not be confused with later Xiaomi products that advertise different totals.

Smart-home connectivity
The washer was presented as part of Xiaomi’s smart-home ecosystem, but the exact China-region app configuration, account region, voice-assistant support and current server compatibility require model documentation. A China-market appliance may not pair with a Xiaomi Home account in another region. Connectivity is a convenience feature, not a substitute for checking electrical compatibility, service coverage and warranty terms.
Price, availability and import considerations
RMB 1,479 was a historical China pre-sale price, and RMB 1,699 was the reported regular price. Neither is a current international retail quote or a delivered cost. Freight, taxes, installation and possible voltage conversion can materially change the total.

The available launch evidence confirms China availability only. It does not establish a US launch, US price, certification, local warranty or continuing sales for this exact 2022 model. Unofficial import listings, if found, are not equivalent to official distribution.
- Confirm the model number, voltage, frequency, plug and plumbing connections.
- Check whether Xiaomi Home supports the appliance on servers available in your country.
- Verify door-hinge orientation, installation clearances and drainage requirements.
- Ask whether door seals, pumps, control boards and other parts can be sourced locally.
- Confirm who handles warranty claims and whether the warranty travels internationally.

For the 10.5KG combo, Xiaomi states that the Mixture program supports 10.5KG washing and 7KG drying (FAQ), while its Smart program is limited to 6KG washing and 4KG drying (FAQ). Those limits do not apply to the 2022 standalone 10KG washer.
What is—and is not—established about performance
The launch reporting provides specifications and promotional claims, not independent testing. There is no verified test here for noise, water or energy consumption, stain removal, hygiene efficacy or long-term reliability. The motor architecture alone cannot prove that this washer is quieter, cleaner or more durable than a particular Bosch, LG, Samsung or Miele model.

Verdict
The 2022 MIJIA Front-loading Washing Machine 10KG was notable in China for combining a large rated load, 48-pole direct drive, a high-temperature option and smart-home positioning at an aggressive introductory price. For buyers outside China, however, the practical question is support: voltage, app region, parts, installation and warranty can outweigh the historical price. Unless an authorized local listing confirms those details, a currently supported regional Xiaomi washer—or a locally sold 10KG machine with established service—offers a safer purchase.
