The Ninja CREAMi deal appears to be for the NC300, the standard model with five programs and two 16-ounce pints—not the newer seven-program NC301 or the larger CREAMi Deluxe. Walmart displayed it at $169, down from $199, a $30 (about 15%) difference. That is worth considering if you want individual portions and the listing is new, correctly identified and covered by an acceptable warranty. The price and availability can change, so confirm the model and seller before checkout.
What the $169 deal includes
Walmart’s listing identifies the offer as the Ninja CREAMi NC300, a standard-size frozen-dessert maker. It describes five one-touch programs and two 16-ounce pint containers. White (including the NC300WH variant) and stone-silver versions appeared in the listing. The page displayed $169 against a former price of $199; that is the retailer’s comparison, not evidence of an all-time-low price.
The available listing is a category page rather than a fully verified, model-specific product page, and its price signal may not reflect the offer when you shop. Check the selected color, exact model number, seller, item condition, shipping date, return rules and warranty at checkout. A similar title can refer to a different CREAMi model, and price or availability may vary by location or seller. Do not assume the NC300 package has every accessory listed for newer models: verify the box contents on the live product page.

How a CREAMi works—and why it takes planning
A CREAMi is not a compressor ice-cream maker that chills a liquid mixture as it churns. You prepare a base in a pint, freeze it, then process the frozen contents in the machine. You can add mix-ins when the recipe calls for them. In practice, the freeze-ahead step means it is not a pour-and-serve appliance: plan your dessert in advance and leave enough freezer space for the pint to freeze level.

The NC300 listing specifies five programs, but the available evidence does not establish the names of all five buttons for this exact package. The newer NC301 has seven programs, and Ninja advises choosing a program based on the recipe’s ingredients rather than simply the texture you want. Results also depend on the base and preparation; a pint can come out crumbly or powdery and may need a re-spin or recipe adjustment. Follow the model’s instructions for ingredients, fill level, freezing and processing rather than assuming every mixture will work the same way.

At the prices found, the NC301 costs about $30.99 more than the NC300 offer; the NC501 Deluxe costs $80.99 more. Prices can change, and this is not a like-for-like accessory comparison: check each package’s included parts and warranty. The NC300 is a more persuasive deal if you only need its standard-size pints and the listing is for a new unit with reliable coverage. Paying more for the NC301 makes sense if you prefer the newer seven-program standard model. Choose Deluxe for larger batches, not because its name means it is simply the same machine with extra buttons.

Container compatibility matters if you buy extra pints later. Standard-series pints are for compatible standard CREAMi models; the NC501 Deluxe uses a different, larger container family. Ninja says Deluxe tubs are not compatible with the NC300/standard series. Check compatibility by model number before ordering accessories.

Costs and practical trade-offs to consider
- Extra containers: More standard pints let you prepare several bases ahead, but they add to the cost. Ninja listed a standard two-pack at $25.99 and a four-pack at $39.99; confirm current prices and model compatibility before buying.
- Freezer room and planning: You need space to freeze pints before processing. This suits people who like to prepare ahead, not someone looking for an immediate dessert from a liquid base.
- Portion size: Two 16-ounce pints make individual-size batches. If you regularly serve a family or want larger batches, compare the 24-ounce Deluxe tubs, while accounting for their separate compatibility and higher price.
- Warranty and returns: Ninja’s current standard and Deluxe pages state a one-year limited warranty, but coverage for a Walmart purchase may depend on seller and condition. Check the terms on the actual listing, including whether the item is new, refurbished or marketplace-sold, and understand how a return would work for a bulky appliance.
- Texture is recipe-dependent: A frozen pint may need another processing pass or a recipe adjustment. Do not buy on the assumption that every base will emerge perfectly smooth on the first run.

Consider it if you want customizable individual frozen desserts, will freeze bases ahead, have room for the pints and are happy with five programs. It may suit people experimenting with different sweetness levels, dairy choices or protein-dessert recipes, provided they use appropriate recipes and follow the machine’s directions.
Consider the NC301 instead if the price gap remains around $30 and the newer standard model’s two additional programs or package details matter to you. Compare the actual current prices and included accessories before deciding; the NC301’s listed price is not a guarantee that it is always only $30 more.
Choose Deluxe only if you need the capacity: its 24-ounce tubs are a better match for larger portions, but it costs more and uses a separate container family. The Ninja Swirl is a different, substantially more expensive machine for shoppers specifically seeking soft-serve dispensing, not a direct $169 alternative.
