The Xiaomi Mijia All-in-One M30 S was reported at an effective price of 2,478.8 yuan—usually rounded to 2,479 yuan—during a JD.com promotion reported on August 7, 2024. That was about 520 yuan, or 17.3%, below the 2,999-yuan reference price, but it depended on stacked discounts and trade-in benefits. It is a historical China-market deal, not a price verified as available today.
What the 2,479-yuan deal meant
The Mijia M30 S is a robot vacuum and mop with an automated cleaning dock. In August 2024, deal coverage reported that JD.com shoppers could reach an effective price of 2,478.8 yuan from a 2,999-yuan reference price. The promotion was reported by Gizmochina on August 7, 2024.
The headline figure was not necessarily the amount every buyer paid at checkout. The reported total combined platform discounts, coupons and trade-in credit, with membership benefits or shopping-credit rebates potentially lowering the effective cost further. A trade-in offer depends on eligibility and the item accepted; coupons can be account-specific, limited or expired. Credits and rebates are also not always equivalent to cash off the purchase.

In May 2024, one JD offer reportedly calculated to 2,579 yuan after coupons and a 120-yuan trade-in deduction, before additional membership or rebate benefits. An August 1 promotion was reported at an effective 2,607.8 yuan after a listed selling price of 2,799 yuan, trade-in credit and further benefits. Those examples are not a guaranteed reconstruction of every buyer’s August 7 checkout.

There is also a price-history distinction worth keeping straight: March 2024 prelaunch coverage cited a suggested retail price of 3,699 yuan alongside an introductory price of 2,999 yuan. Later launch coverage also reported 2,999 yuan. So 2,999 yuan is a useful reference for the deal calculation, but it should not be described without qualification as the product’s sole original list price. See ITHome’s prelaunch report.
No current live 2,479-yuan offer is verified here. Anyone considering a purchase now should check the retailer’s live price, coupon conditions, trade-in eligibility and delivery territory rather than treating the 2024 promotion as ongoing.
What the M30 S offers
Vacuuming and hair handling
The robot is rated at 7,300 Pa of suction and uses a hair-cutting anti-tangle main brush intended to cut hair and pet hair before it wraps around the brush. These are product specifications and design claims, not proof that the brush never needs clearing. Suction-pressure figures are not directly comparable across brands without consistent independent testing, and no independent cleaning-performance test was identified in the reviewed coverage. Edge cleaning
A retractable or articulated mechanical-arm system is designed to bring the cleaning hardware closer to walls and around table legs, where round robots can leave a strip of dust. Xiaomi-related coverage claimed up to 99% edge-cleaning coverage and millimeter-level positioning. Treat 99% as a promotional claim, not an independently measured result for every room or floor plan. Mopping and the dock
The M30 S combines sweeping and mopping with a dock that washes the mop with water up to 60°C, then uses hot air to dry it in as little as two hours. It also automatically collects dust. Promotional coverage said dust collection could take as little as 10 seconds and that the dust bag could last up to 75 days. These are best-case or maximum claims; actual intervals depend on the home’s floor area, debris, pets, cleaning frequency and settings. The dock is automated, not maintenance-free.
Coverage also describes bionic, pressurized constant-humidity mopping: the robot is intended to keep the mop damp and apply pressure while cleaning. It offers different cleaning modes, including sweep-then-mop, and reporting mentioned post-meal cleaning and dirt recognition. These features do not establish that it will remove heavy grease, sticky spills or embedded stains as well as manual scrubbing.
The clean- and dirty-water tanks are reported at about four liters each. Tank capacity and the dock’s wash-and-dry functions reduce daily intervention, but owners still need to refill and empty tanks, replace bags and consumables, and clean the mop tray and dirty-water path. Mapping, obstacle avoidance and smart-home control
The M30 S uses 360-degree laser navigation for mapping and S-Cross structured-light sensing for obstacle avoidance. Deal coverage reports a 110-degree wide-angle field for detecting low obstacles. These systems can help it map rooms and steer around objects, but they cannot guarantee detection of every cable, transparent item, dark object or low obstacle. Clear cords, clothes, toys and liquids from the floor before a run.
It is controlled through the Mi Home/Mijia app, with XiaoAI voice-assistant integration described for the Chinese ecosystem. That should not be read as confirmation of Google Assistant, Alexa or Siri compatibility in other regions. The manual’s network instructions refer to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and app labels or behavior can change with software updates.
What the specifications do—and do not—tell you
- 7,300 Pa: a rated suction figure, not a direct measure of how well it removes debris from your particular carpet or floor.
- Up to 99% edge coverage: a promotional claim; room geometry, furniture and the robot’s path affect results.
- Up to 75 days per dust bag: a maximum claim, not a dependable schedule for every household. Pets, debris and cleaning frequency can shorten it.
- Two-hour drying and 60°C mop washing: stated dock capabilities; they do not eliminate manual dock cleaning or guarantee stain removal.
- Obstacle avoidance: a useful aid, not a reason to leave cables, small objects or pet accidents in its path.
The available sources did not establish independent results for cleaning, noise, battery life, obstacle handling or carpet performance. Buyers should judge the M30 S by its feature set and support conditions, not by promotional numbers alone.

Ownership and import considerations
The most important qualification for international shoppers is warranty territory. The M30 S warranty documentation says sales and after-sales service apply only in mainland China, excluding Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. It lists a two-year warranty for the main unit and base under those China-market conditions, while identifying brushes, filters, mop pads, dust bags and other wear items as consumables excluded from warranty. Read the warranty documentation before importing.
For a buyer outside mainland China, a low purchase price can be offset by international shipping, difficult returns, limited local access to compatible parts and repair, or regional app and account issues. Confirm voltage and plug compatibility, app-region requirements, language, local consumables availability and who pays return shipping if the unit or dock fails. The existence of a product listing or accessory listing does not by itself establish local warranty support.
Even in a supported market, expect routine upkeep: inspect the main brush and collection ports, replace bags and filters as needed, wash the mop tray and keep the sensors clear. The manual notes that dust collection can be disabled in the app and may not start in some mid-cycle returns to wash the mop. If collection weakens, it advises checking the bag and collection ports; longer collection time after extended use may be normal. Those instructions are in the M30 S manual and warranty document.

Carpet behavior also merits a check before relying on it. Coverage mentions carpet zones and mop lifting, but behavior should be verified in the app and tested in the home; a wrongly mapped or configured zone can expose carpet to a wet mop.
Who is it for?
- Mainland-China Xiaomi/Mijia households: The strongest fit, particularly if JD promotions, trade-in programs and local Xiaomi service are accessible.
- Hard-floor homes with routine dust, crumbs or pet hair: The all-in-one dock, hair-focused brush and mopping options target these everyday chores, though brush and dock maintenance remain.
- International buyers who need local warranty support: A locally sold, region-supported robot is generally the safer choice. No U.S. distribution or U.S. warranty support is established by the evidence here.
- Carpet-heavy homes or people expecting deep stain removal: Do not assume the M30 S’s suction rating or mop functions guarantee those results; seek model-specific independent testing and verify carpet controls.
- Buyers unwilling to manage consumables or the dock: The M30 S automates recurring tasks but does not remove them.
For overseas shoppers, alternatives are best compared by local warranty, app support, consumables and tested performance. Locally supported Xiaomi, Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs and iRobot models may suit different needs, but current prices and model-level performance should be checked in the buyer’s market rather than inferred from this historical deal.

The Mijia M30 S offered an extensive feature set for the Chinese market, and the reported 2,478.8-yuan effective price was meaningfully below the 2,999-yuan reference price. But that lowest figure relied on promotions and trade-in or other benefits, and it dates to August 2024. For a mainland-China buyer who could use the discounts and service network, it was potentially compelling. For most international buyers, China-only after-sales support and regional ecosystem uncertainties make a locally supported alternative the more practical choice unless the import savings clearly outweigh the risks.
