Samsung launched its 2025 Bespoke AI WindFree air-conditioner range in India on January 29, 2025, introducing 19 models across different capacities and energy ratings. The premium split AC range combines airflow dispersed through 23,000 micro-holes with automated cooling, energy and SmartThings features. It is a 2025 launch, not Samsung’s current lineup: the company announced a separate 23-model range in January 2026.
What Samsung launched in 2025
The January 29, 2025 launch was a range, not one single AC specification. Samsung positioned the 19 Bespoke AI WindFree models for Indian homes, with differences in capacity, star rating and model code. The headline proposition is gentler, less direct airflow alongside connected controls and automated operating modes.
Samsung’s launch listing confirms the 19-model announcement. The launch materials also promoted AI Digital Inverter operation for outdoor temperatures up to 58°C; treat that as a manufacturer claim, and check the applicable model’s documentation and operating conditions rather than assuming every model performs identically in every extreme.
What the main features do

Samsung also highlighted an AI Digital Inverter, Copper Anti-bacterial Filter, Durafin Ultra heat-exchanger coating and maintenance functions such as auto-clean. Feature availability can differ among models, so check the full specification for the code on the seller’s listing. Smart functions may require a Samsung account, SmartThings and, for wearable-linked sleep features, relevant Samsung phone and health apps. The AC should still be operable with its remote if connected features are unavailable.

What “up to 30%” energy savings means
Samsung’s published testing note describes a controlled residential-laboratory comparison at 35°C/24°C on a specific model, comparing AI Energy Mode with AI Comfort Mode. It says the test required SmartThings and a Samsung account and notes that the set temperature could rise by up to 2°C in the test scenario. The result is not a prediction for every Indian home. Actual electricity use depends on the set temperature, weather, room size and insulation, operating hours, humidity, usage pattern and tariff; savings may differ substantially.
Compare the exact model, not just the range name
The 19 models do not share one capacity or energy rating. Samsung support listings, for example, identify the AR60F19D1XW as a 2025 3-star model, the AR60F19D1ZW as a 2025 5-star model, and the AR60F19D13W as a 2025 3-star model. The listings show different capacities too: 5.30 kW for the first and third examples and 5.00 kW for the second. These examples should not be taken as specifications for the entire range.

Before choosing, check the exact model code and compare its cooling capacity, BEE star label, ISEER and annual energy consumption. A higher star rating can reduce electricity use over heavy, regular operation, but may cost more upfront; it may not pay off as readily in a lightly used guest room. Check the label and model-year details on the unit actually being sold.
Do not choose capacity by floor area alone. Ceiling height, direct sun, insulation, window exposure, occupancy, appliances and local summer conditions all add to a room’s cooling load. A hot, west-facing room can need more capacity than a shaded, well-insulated room of the same size. WindFree mode cannot compensate for incorrect sizing, poor insulation or a bad installation.

Price, availability and warranty
Launch-period coverage reported prices from ₹32,990, while Samsung’s broader 2025 appliance announcement listed the range from ₹36,000. The figures come from different launch-period sources and should not be merged into one definitive price. They are historical starting prices, not confirmed current offers. Moneycontrol’s launch report said the range was available through Samsung’s website and stores and major online retailers; stock in 2026 depends on the model and seller as newer products have since been announced.
Launch coverage reported a five-year comprehensive warranty and a 10-year warranty on the AI Inverter compressor. Warranty coverage can depend on model, purchase date, registration, exclusions and seller terms. Confirm the written terms for the exact unit before paying. Also ask for the full installation cost, including any charges for extra copper piping, brackets, drainage or electrical work, and check local service availability.

Is a 2025 WindFree model worth considering?
It may suit buyers who dislike direct cold airflow, want a bedroom-oriented comfort mode, or already use SmartThings and compatible Galaxy devices. The multiple models give buyers options, but the smart features add little value if they will not be used. Reliable Wi-Fi, an account and supported devices are prerequisites for much of the connected experience.

Look elsewhere—or compare carefully—if the priority is the lowest upfront price, the room has serious insulation or sizing problems, or you want independent evidence of room-level cooling performance before choosing. For energy costs, compare exact model labels and expected use rather than treating “up to 30%” as a promise.

- April 8, 2026: Samsung announced Bespoke AI WindFree Pro ACs with 5 Motion Wind. That is another product announcement, not a feature to assume on the 2025 models; see Samsung’s Pro launch notice.
If considering clearance stock, compare its exact specifications, live price and warranty with the newer models available in your area. Do not assume a 2025 model is still stocked or priced at its original launch figure.
